1. This is retarded
J K ,   NYC, USA   (03.09.09)
Egypt made peace, such as it is, with Israel regarding conditions only relating between the 2 countries. Jordan as well. Syria wants peace but only if the Fakestinian issue is solved? Give me a break. Fine..Israel can make peace with Syria, but only when a player born in Syria scores 60 points in an NBA game. The sad thing is, thats more likely to happen that peace with the Fakestinians.
2. Jerk... He better read a story of Purim.
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (03.09.09)
That chinless scumbag and the rest of Jew haters of all breeds will get their payback one day soon.
3. ASSAD,ARRUTSÁ.....

Arrutsá Assad...... You are persian slave. Hezboolla belongs to Iran. What Syria ken guive to Israel??? Whay Israel whill guive back Golan for nothing???? You just now the F-16 and F-15 power.
4. Assad should tell the dark forces
Brod ,   USA   (03.09.09)
to stop crusading their Jihadism/Terrorism on Israel. Those Hamasites, Abbasites and Hezbollahites would not be war-mongering if Syria and the other Islamist-Jihadist states in the region stop funding, arming and sheltering them. Their homilies are directed only at Israel. It seems that they want to see their thugs continue rocketing, terrorizing and attacking Israel with impunity. Ergo, their 'peace' is just a Taqiyya tool to fool Israel and the world.
5. Syria's demands
petra ,   uSA   (03.09.09)
lack any value. Israel wiped out their nuclear facility and rather than acknowledge the loss, this bozo acts as though he can dictate the terms of "peace" by demands on Israel that would mean her certain death. Obama would be better off playing solitaire than playing politics w/ this arab bluster that is as empty as a dry lake bed. No one in their right mind would give back the Golan Heights or, any part of Israel. Israel's answer should be a firm NO!
6. Assad trying to show brave, but is stupid
Saleena ,   Canada   (03.09.09)
Better dont try to use language which makes it appear that Israel is begger and they are doing a favour by granting peace. All know, you are weak nation, and it you get any chance, you will not hesitate to destroy Israel and please Iranians.
7. We have normal links with syria...
trumpeldor ,   eurabia   (03.09.09)
-up from the hermon down to damascus ,very easy for tanks deployment should the need arise... -delicious apples exports from golan to syria
10. To Arabs recovering their "rights" means all of Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (03.09.09)
For Assad recovering his rights means recovering any land Syria held before 1967. To the Palestinians recovering their rights means all territory held before 1948 or all territory held before 1967 plus 5 million refugees into Israel which means the same thing. (all of Israel) The Arabs support whatever the Palestinians demand. Iran greatly encourages Palestinians to demand the maximum. There can't be an agreement with a handful of Palestinians.
11. You can go and have peace with your palestinians in Syria
USA   (03.09.09)
or perhaps with this country
12. #6 Rosenvald is correct.
usa   (03.09.09)
This guy is fully bought and paid for by Persia. His country is subserviant to Ayatolahs. Let these losers make peace with themselves. These fools could of absorbed these so called Palestinians into any one of their countries if they really wanted peace with Jews. Or even Italy perhaps since the word Palestine was invented by an Italian guy.
13. Watch him very closely.
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.09.09)
14. I can read between words
Zion   (03.09.09)
When the "Palestinians" end conflict with Israel, there won't be any Jewish state to create peace with.
15. Assad basically told: NO PEACE!
Gavriel ,   Budapest, Hungary   (03.09.09)
Arabs, especially Syrians are NOT interested in a peace with Israel. Everything is bla-bla-bla Don't pay attention to Syrian demands, they want only ONE thing: to destroy Israel and wipe it out from the map!
16. And all of the Golan, and a unicorn
Steve from Raleigh   (03.09.09)
Assad demands the end of Israel in order to have 'peace' with Israel.
17. Land for peace
avi ,   gaza   (03.09.09)
If everyone is so quick to force Israel to give "Land for peace". Why can't this bozo give the Golan to Israel as land for peace? He doesn't need the Golan, His country is already large. Finally, Syria was created by the UN just like Israel. If the UN can attempt to dictate Israel's borders, why can't ( won't) they dictate Syria's? Sadly, the answer is obvious.
18. One day it's about Golan. Another day its about Palestinians
Jake   (03.09.09)
Just cut the BS and say it, Assad: "We do not want peace with Israel because we do not believe it has any right to exist."
19. Ummm ..... not.
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.09.09)
Guess what, Syria? Israel isn't interested. Get a grip. We can go a lot further than Quneitra if need be. You would be smart to keep that in mind.
20. Assads ENDORSES apartheid regieme,2 make strong claims on IL
cathrina israel   (03.09.09)
there are enough palestinians in israel who can not find work in Israel. why are there apartheid discrimination between arab citizens and arab refugees 60 years in syria? is Aassad promising these refugees the land of Israel should they wait a little longer, thus controlling their anticipation with denial of citizen rights? suggest he gives them the homes of the jewish refugees that fled syria and became citizens of israel. the palestinian arabs were not self governed in palestine, and in addition to that, they avoided getting drafted to army or paying taxes, and therefore avoided land registry in their name. subsequently they are not the land owners as per ottoman tabu laws. the english.didn’t change the land registry, and so their status remains as landless, who were subjects of other nation empires, unless they are made citizens of syria. moreover, many arabs came to palestine from neighboring countries in end of 19th century, and the beginning of 20th century. NOT ONLY JEWS IMMIGRATED TO PALESTINE. statistics about the arab population growth in palestine before and after zionist movement started, indicate that arab population has doubled in 500 years before zionist movement brought jews to palestine in 1880. population doubled every 30 years since 1880 untill declaration of israel. british mandate documents confirm arab immigration to palestine. they should be granted returning citizens status in neighbouring arab countries also because they have mutual ancestry which they follow in the spirit of to this day, and here are a couple of examples:. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banu_Judham http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jabal_Amel 60 years ago, syria attacked israel, promising the palestinians they shall get rid of the jews in israel. syrians attacked & lost on behalf of the palestinians, and therefore can not make any land claims on behalf of those palestinians, otherwise they should expect jews to make claims on the lands jews abandoned in syria. but not only syrians, the palestinian refugees themselves were involved in armed attacks they initiated in that war, in collaboration with syria, and fled for not being successful. why should isreal look after their interest, or make them citizens, when syrians are refusing to grant them rights? it is not israel's job to look after the refugees that initialized an armed attack against israel in 48, and fled to another country.
21. REAL PEACE IS BUILT UPON RIGHTOUSNESS !!!.
Orao Stranka. ,   Tsarigrad u Srbia.   (03.09.09)
SYRIA YOU HAS NONE, AND CANT THEREFORE COME UP WITH DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH STATUS QUO, YOU OUGHT TO HAVE IT COMING HARD UPON YOUR SKULL. Orao.
22. #12, RE: The word "Palestine"
Jake   (03.09.09)
was invented by Herodotus (an Asia Minor Greek), or rather, it was a mispronunciation of the word Philistine, centuries after the Philistines had in fact vanished. In fact, Herodotus did not use it to name a country, but a district - "Syria Palaistine" - "Palestinian Syria" - in which, according to Herodotus, the residents were circumcized (the Biblical Philistines were noted for being uncircumcized). The first to use the term "Palestine" in an official capacity were the Romans, once again as "Syria Palaestina", under the orders of Emperor Hadrian in 135 CE. Hadrian was a rabid Hellenist far more inspired by Greek culture than by Roman culture. Also, Hadrian was not, in fact, an Italian, but a Spaniard. Nevertheless, the Renaissance-era maps show the territory with its Latin name 'IUDAEA' , not Palestine.
23. Cathrina, #20, more specifically
Jake   (03.09.09)
As noted by Robert Kennedy, 500,000 Arabs entered Mandate Palestine between 1924 and 1933 alone, due to economic opportunities created by the Zionists.
24. FEAR In Syria-Iran-Hezbollah OCCUPIED Lebanon
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (03.09.09)
WASHINGTON TIMES TIMMERMAN: Fear grips democracy in Lebanon Kenneth Timmerman March 2, 2009 BEIRUT, Lebanon. ...Hezbollah controls the airport, the seaport, and the security apparatus. They are trying to control the country the way the Nazis did, through a fake democratic process that conceals a coup d'etat.”... Syrians continue to dominate the country through thousands of intelligence agents and informers operating at every level of Lebanese society, from the security services right down to street vendors. Whenever they feel that someone has stepped over the line, they never hesitate to strike... “This is worse than open occupation by a foreign army. The Syrians have agents everywhere, at all moments, on every street.”... The real fear among many Lebanese today is that Syria and Iran have so infiltrated their country that no one is safe, especially if they open their mouths to denounce the foreign threats to Lebanon's sovereignty. Saad Hariri, son of the slain prime minister and leader of the March 14 coalition: ”I have no doubt that the Syrian regime is after all of us. “They will kill as many members of parliament of the majority who represent the Cedars Revolution as possible. This is their way. They have never stopped. They will never stop,” he said. ”Hezbollah is prepared to pull off another May 7,” he said. Last May's massive demonstration by Hezbollah supporters paralyzed downtown Beirut, brought down the government and forced the ruling coalition to make major concessions to Hezbollah and its allies at a shotgun political wedding in Doha, Qatar. “This time, they have stockpiled weapons and built fortified bunkers for their fighters, so they can take over the whole Christian area in just ten minutes,” Mr. Nissi said. http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/mar/02/fear-grips-democracy-in-lebanon/
25. UN Resolution 1701 BETRAYED Israel, Lebanon & Free World
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (03.09.09)
During the 2006 Second Lebanon War under INTENSE U.S. pressure, Israel's leaders agreed to UN Resolution 1701 that prevented the goal vital to Israel's security - eliminating the rocket threat from Lebanon. The result: Hezbollah now have far more rockets-42,000 as of November 2008 and able to hit 97 percent of Israel's population. Syria supplies ally, Hezbollah with weapons. UN Resolution 1701 successfully prevented Israel from defeating Iran-Syria's terrorist army Hezbollah, thus greatly weakening Israel and empowering Hezbollah to violently take over Lebanon. Another victory for global jihad CREATED by Western ruling elites - another victory for Islamics in the war against the world's non-Muslims.
