NOW I CAN WORK IN CONFERT, ABOUT TIME RIVLEN!!
2. Jeans
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (03.09.09)
That is wonderful news!! A lot of tourist, especially young people, traveling only have jeans with them, there is no reason they shouldn't be able to see the Knesset. Dalia Itzik was just plain dumb banning jeans. The fashion czarist, needs to do something about her hair.
3. Jeans???
Rosie   (03.09.09)
This should be Israel's biggest problem. If tourists want to visit the Knesset in dress that is not proper that is their issue but the members of the Knesset should be dressed in professional business atire not looking like they are ready to go for a swim at the beach or for a game of soccer. They are in the Knesset for business not comfort. They need to represent a people and an image and act and be professional.
4. dress code
colin   (03.09.09)
The respect of the knesset has fallen to lowest ever and now Rivlin is prepared to lower the esteem to the absolute bottom. Dress code has been one of the main expresions of higher standings in the communittee. It is upheld the world over.
5. End the stupid dress code
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.09.09)
Our leadership began with jeans and khaki shorts, as did our field leaders. A "back to basics" approach is long overdue and will return to the Knesset members a sense of their origins and foundation of beliefs. With the end of Itzik, we can now end her self-righteous sanctimonious dictatorship reflective of others in the 1% that demeaned our Zionist origins and appeased any and all enemies they could muster! Pass the levi's!!!
6. Jeans are the only pants to wear!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (03.09.09)
We were told by the son in law of the owners, a thief .And dumber than dirt. If we wear jeans at work there would be a 250 shekel fine. It is against the law,but the knesset and government here do not go after thieving security companies. We were made to wear cheap beige colored pants 2 or 3 sizes too large on more than a few of us. Why can't we also wear jeans? Also why do they charge us 300 shekels for a cheap "pilot's jacket"? That too is against the law. Where the hell is min of labor to check companies for violating the labor laws?
7. Let them concentrate on the issues instead of their wardrobe
David ,   Hartford USA   (03.09.09)
I'm sick of seeing such well-dressed 'giants' of Israeli democracy walking around like peacocks. have you ever seen their collection of watches? More Rolexes than Timexes! Which means that they are overpaid have no empathy for the average struggling citizen. (Which we already knew anyway..) maybe if they dress like average people they will govern like average people and not like primadonas.
