11. Oh Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv
Shame ,   Shame on you!   (03.13.09)
days and nights you look how to make God Almighty, God of Jews, angry with you. Do you think you can avoid punishment? No way! No way! No way! The PRIDE of your heart has deceived you, dwelling in the clefts of the rock, his dwelling is lofty; saying in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? Though you rise high like the eagle, and though you set your nest between the stars, I will bring you down from there, says Jehovah.

My family does not patronize businesses & cities that specially cater to LGBT.
23. Gay cities are fun cities!
Eric ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.13.09)
The best tourist cites in the world such as Paris, Berlin, San Francisco, New York, Sidney, Montreal, etc. are all gay 'friendly cities. The gays have an ability to change a boring and drab place into a fun and attractive place and put that place on the word map. This is a great move for Tel Aviv tourism. The Tel Aviv city counsellors know exacty what they are doing. They are putting Tel Aviv on te world tourism map. As to the bunch of bigots commenting here wake up we are in the 21st century. Israel is not Iran! (By the way I am not gay but we in Canada respect gays as citizenswith full right)
24. these comments are disgusting
shocked heterosexual ,   London   (03.13.09)
Perhaps Israel should instead host a Homophobic Tourism Convention and invite tourism officials from Iran, Saudi etc. They can show off their latest hand-chopping techniques. Maybe there can be a stall showing the Nazis' methods of dealing with gays, you know, just for reference. Then you could sit back and praise Israel for its religious purity.
25. Silly talkbacks here
Pierre ,   Germany   (03.13.09)
I'm appalled by all these anti-gay commentaries here. Disgusting! Do you want a Jewish Saudi Arabia or a Jewish Iran? Remember what distinguishes us from our enemies!
26. My Fellow Jews Must Bless Gay Jews!
Mark ,   Boston   (03.13.09)
Read your bible- Hashem said "I will bless those that bless you, and I will curse tthose that curse you. Hashem loves all his children.
27. I would move as far as possible away from Tel Aviv
Yosi M. ,   GiloJerusalem Israel   (03.13.09)
due to the burn factor. I understand that happened in Sdom. I seem to remember something about the fool building his house on sand. Isn't all of Tel Aviv built on sand dunes? Hey, after the fact we could have a booming glass industry.
28. The Land will Vomit us out
Avi ,   Montreal   (03.13.09)
The Torah in Vayikra says: 27. For the people of the land who preceded you, did all of these abominations, and the land became defiled. 28. And let the land not vomit you out for having defiled it, as it vomited out the nation that preceded you. 29. For anyone who commits any of these abominations, the persons doing so shall be cut off from the midst of their people. 30. And you shall observe My charge, not to commit any of the abominable practices that were done before you, and you shall not become defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. This is a matter of national security! We must keep our camp holy!
29. When worlds collide
Sam ,   Canada   (03.13.09)
This news may bring joy to Israeli secular society or those who want Israel to be a country like all other Western countries. It doesn't bring much naches to Orthodox Jews. Gays cannot win them all.
30. GAYISTAN
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (03.13.09)
Enough is enough. One thing is to care for the rights of the gays and lesbians, another is to promote gay and lesbien tourism in Tel Aviv. Ron Huldai, the Mayor of Tel Aviv, should understand that enough is enough.
