31. Hatred is preventing peace in Israel
Mark ,   Boston   (03.13.09)
How can there ever be peace in the holy land? Look at these hateful comments. Jews persecuting other Jews.
32.  This is Jewish Anti-Semitism
Mark ,   Boston   (03.13.09)
As Jews, we complain about Anti-Semitism from Non-Jews. It is tragic to see Jews persecuting other Jews. I believe that . It seems like it takes rockets from Hamas to unify the Jewish people. If there was no Hamas, Jews would kill each other. The enemies of the Jews keeps them alive.
33. #29 the Orthodox have West Jerusalem
Mark ,   Boston   (03.13.09)
Be grateful that the Western Wall is still standing. With this hatred, Hashem will destroy Jerusalem. Are we worthy of this land? NO-
34. oy vay im gay(and proud!!)
miki   (03.13.09)
great gay life in tel aviv great israeli hunks the next place after berlin barcellona rio ect,,,,,,
35. Part of campaign: not all Israelis are MORONS like 1-8 above
andy ,   ramat hasharon   (03.13.09)
Of course this is a good idea. Tel Aviv is a great city for gay tourists.
36. Excuse me? Is this Israel?
Claudia ,   Tampa, USA   (03.13.09)
While I don't believe gay people deserve exclusion, I strongly object to their promotion of their lifestyle. I don't run around shouting to one and all that I prefer sex with men, and neither should they. In their quest for "acceptance" they have really gone off the edge. and it is causing me to develop an aversion to them! Especially their public displays in Jerusalem. Sad that the dept of tourism thinks this is the way for Israel to promote itself.
37. I think this is great!
Jeff ,   Tel Aviv   (03.13.09)
Surprised about all the negative comments. I think that it's terrific that Tel Aviv is a welcoming and gay friendly city. Israel needs all the friends and allies in the world, and did we forget to mention tourists who support the economy.
38. #32 What hatred? Orthodox believe the behaviour is wrong.
Sam ,   Canada   (03.13.09)
I don't see the hatred. I don't see the persecution. The sexual behaviour of gays is considered inappropriate by the orthodox and gays won't find acceptance of that behaviour.
39. Avi 28 , your camp is Canada , hold it "holy"
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (03.13.09)
if you want . We are in Israel , most people are more tolerant and not hatefull as you and others are . If there is an 'hashem" he will judge if those people "sinned" or not , it's not your job . And if there is an "hashem" why did he create Homosexuals if it is a sin ? You , and your alikes , spread only hatred and divide our people . Shame on all of you .
40. Andy , 35 , WRONG
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (03.13.09)
Tel Aviv is a great city for ALL the tourists , not only the Gays .
41. My husband and I will be happy to get to gay events
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NYC   (03.13.09)
As a nude salsa instructor I hope I can organize big dancing events hopefully hundreds of dancers. Both my husband and a boyfriend will be happy to participate. As a Muslims i hope to find a friendly mask in Jaffa. The only problem my husband is from Gaza so i hope they let him in.
42. #34, proud? About what
Curious reader ,   Everywhere   (03.13.09)
in technical terms?
43. to # 22
Michael ,   New York   (03.13.09)
given the redneck state you come from, I'm not surprised. I also don't patronize redneck states... specifically NC.
44. to #29
michael ,   new york   (03.13.09)
and what did the Orthodox Jewish community ever provide that was NACHAS to the rest of us Jews? You don't serve in the military, you don't work, you're on welfare and a scourge to the development of Israel as a thriving country.
45. Why Israeli Jews suffer....
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.13.09)
because they argue over stuff as trivial as this. Thank god for the conservative movement. P.S. Just because Tel Aviv is holding a symposium does not mean they are encouraging sodomy(the action in which is an abomination, not being homosexual in itself) but rather recognizing the existence and reality of gay identity and culture.
46. #38 Haredim rioted in the streets
Mark ,   Boston   (03.13.09)
They were burning trash cans before a gay prade parade. One person was stabbed during a gay parade. They engaged in violence and riots on the streets of Jerusalem. Let Hashem be the decider and do not try to be Hashem. Hashem is in charge. not the Haredim. Hashem loves all his children.
47. #44Orthodox are in combat units+officers+university educated
Sam ,   Canada   (03.13.09)
I'm less aware of what the Black Hat Orthodox are doing in Israel but the other Orthodox serve in large numbers in combat units, as officers and many are highly educated from top universities. Maybe Gays are too. Many gays are very successful. It's the sexual behaviour of gays that the orthodox don't accept, not their accomplishments and the reasons are quite clear.
48. Tel Aviv. The city is HOT?
HIGHLY RECCOMENDED ,   Travel Agent   (03.13.09)
Relax! Actually it isn't very HOT! Sodom and Gomorrah were much HOTTER places! For illustration visit our Sodom and Gomorrah National Park(The Dead Sea region)!
49. #40 Gee thanks, Charles...I needed that PC clarification....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (03.13.09)
Of course it takes an illiterate idiot to read in "only" to what I said.
50. #41 - you are stupid enough to make any gay person cringe -
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (03.13.09)
with embarrassment.
51. #23
Shmuel ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.13.09)
"The best tourist cites in the world such as Paris, Berlin, San Francisco, New York, Sidney, Montreal, etc. are all gay 'friendly cities." So let to this best tourist cites in the world held their own annal symposiums! We have here enough problems without that stuff!
52. Excellent News
John ,   London   (03.14.09)
This is great.. I love this city!!! I can't wait to visit again... I can see this becoming a very popular gay destination!

54. Get Real
leo ,   nyc   (03.14.09)
Tel Aviv is already known as a "gay friendly" city as are other major cities across the world which Jews live. Those who come can see Israel's diversty first-hand and in the process Israel gains more friends. Encouraging such tourism to take place can only help Israel.

56. Live and let live, not this time.
Moshico ,   Jerusalem   (03.15.09)
I believe in live and let live but this is going a bit too far. As Jews we should be showing the rest of the world how to act and this I am afraid is not the way the Jewish land is meant to act. This will bring not only the destruction of Israel but the rest of the world as well. We have finally reached the bottom rung and now it's just the hand of G-D that will intervene. It's about time Christian friends of Israel speak up against such an act that is planed to take place in the Holy Land and say no. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah, remember the great flood remember the golden calf, remember the 1st and 2nd Temple's. Stop before it's to late. And I am a Homosexual

The day will come when your tongue will burn in your mouth for the distortion of G*d's Word. Your teeth will nash and you will squirm but you will not find relief. G*d will not be mocked. What you sow, you will reap. You have been told.
60. well about the time!
