4. "unenthusiastic" is a gross understatement!
redbourn ,   tel aviv   (03.15.09)
Bibi is not "unenthusiastic" about power sharing with Livni, he is correctly not interested in it at all! Mike
5. Queer politics and Israeli inventions
Sagi ,   Israel   (03.15.09)
Please show me a Western democracy that has such a complicated system of government as we have in our wonderful little 2x4 country. Around 20 political parties, some of them with no ideology other than to "squeeze" as much as they can in monetary terms from the Government. Forming coalitions that have no chance of survival. Abstaining from appointing qualified professional people to run Ministries and in their stead giving the positions to persons whose only qualification is "I am entitled". Please show me another country that has elections every 4 and a half years. What is the half for, why can't it be just plain 4 or 5 like other "normal" countries. Rotation is a pure Israeli invention the object of which is to appease someone. It is time that our politicians serve the People and not themselves. It is time for change. Wake up politicians because if you do not you will get a wake up call from he People. It has happened before.
6. Posturing with no real substance
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (03.15.09)
If these were really secret meetings with any chance of succeeding we would not be reading about them in the news. Like all of Israel's political dealings: secret negotiations for peace with Syria, for peace with the PA, for Shalit with Hamas these are for the media and to strengthen the negotiating position or political perception of the government. Also this is like the posturing before incitement for every politician in recent times. Who ever heard of a police investigation (Katsav, Olmet, Liberman, Netanyahu, etc.) going on first in the news and only later in the courts. Israel needs to relearn what secret means as it is killing our culture and people with mixed messages.
7. Ok,I will say more educately...
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (03.15.09)
Egos egos and egos! The heck with Israel! That's what it seems to be happening! Netanyahu seems to be an idiot(may I be wrong)that plays his a** in every side but is not trully commited to no one, except to his own disturbed ego. He seems to be wanting to kick the a*** of Lieberman out to a squeezed side and keep the religious parties "drugued" with some money and kept politicaly quiet ,while he seems to be willing to give his own a** to Livni,at any price(except "his own"(stole)chair,of course!),because he intents to keep foreigner's agenda of talking to Siria and,who knows, giving up Golan and keep on giving all that Abass-the Munich attack mentor-wants,while Israel squeezes more and more untill disapears under the fire comming from the"west bank",from Gaza AND from Siria! IT IS INSANE!!! Courage Bibi, courage!Be man! And if the old horse face, the one that brought the disaster of Oslo to Israel, keeps maestring the whole dirty thing ,things are not only not to get better ,but worse, much much worse! This is the feeling,at least to me!
8. coalition
colin   (03.15.09)
Unity government is not the final solution for Israel The leftest media are printning any story to reach BIBI. Lies falsehoods, twisted meanings to attempt to have Livni have a say.I voted against the flussy and her devision of Jerusalem If Bibi falls to her level many will depart from Israel The extrotion of the haridi on one side and the devision by the leftest does not allow a future for Israel
9. Livnis ego matters more than the country itself
zionist forever   (03.15.09)
I am glad there are no deals being done but what Livni has shown is she doesn't give a dam about the country only her ambition & ego. She isn't saying what can I contribute towards the running of the country if I join a coailition run by Netanyahu its I ONLY WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS THE RUNNING OF THE COUNTRY UNLESS I AM PRIME MINITSTER.
