31. Israel shouldn't be left to do this all by herself.
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (03.17.09)
Bombing the Iranian nuclear facilities is a very difficult and risky task, which Israel itself cannot do all by herself. Since a nuclear Iran is a threat to the entire free world (and America in its front) as much as it is for Israel - I see no reason why an American president wouldn't be wise enough to do whatever it takes to neutralize this threat ASAP. The US and the West should not rely on Israel to do their work! We can't do this all by ourselves. We need to attack in joined forces. It is in our interest as much as it is in America's. Obama, wake up!
32. IDF and Iran
DT ,   TA Israel   (03.17.09)
Time for talking and sanctions is long past and to "doubters " Israel can do it on it's own but it will be more difficult. You can forget active involvement by the U.S-in fact possible opposition. If Israel goes alone the US ME bases etc will be hit and vice versa.
33. STRIKE ON IRAN !!!.
Orao Stranka. ,   Tsarigrad u Srbia.   (03.17.09)
IDF chief: Strike on Iran a concrete option MUCH TALK AND NO ACTION. WHY IN THE HELL TALK ABOUT SUCH OPTIONS, SUCH TALK ARE ONLY WARNINGS TO THE ENEMY SO HE CAN STRIKE FIRST. NOW HE HAS HAD YEARS OF WARNINGS TO HIDE HIS SECRETS AND PREPARE FOR THE MILITARY STRIKE. YOU ARE AL FOOLS AND IDIOTS IN THIS MATTER, BOTH THE US AND ISRAEL. Orao.

40. Much ado
David King ,   Sydney Australia   (03.17.09)
You have not been keeping up with events. Both Russia and China has stated that if Iran is attacked, they will use all of their resources in a counter attack. The top US strategists has made an assessment that they would not be successful in an attack on Iran alone. Iran has developed long range missiles able to hit every square inch of israel. israel has acknowledged that they do not have the ability to reach the target. Lastly the CIA has made an assessment that israel won't last another 20 years.
41. To: Lydia at No. 11
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.17.09)
What on earth are you babbling about, Lydia? When has a single Australian been put in harm's way because of Israel's actions? When has a single Australian youth been asked to come to the "rescue" of Israel? Israel has long ago learned that it can only count on itself and Jews. Remember Entebbe? Of the 105 Jewish hostages taken, only 60 carried Israeli passports. The rest were citizens of Europe, the United States and, yes, Australia. Where was Australia then, Lydia? Did it come to the aid of its citizens taken hostage? No. It did not. But Israel did. Remember the raid on the Osirac reactor in 1981? All of Israel's efforts (over an eight-year period) to warn the world about the impending danger of a nuclear Iraq went for naught. So Israel had to shoulder the burden. Would have been quite a different Gulf War in 1991, wouldn't it Lydia, had Israel not destroyed Iraq's nuclear ambitions. And there were Aussies deployed in Iraq in 1991, weren't there, Lydia? You are so blinded by your anti-Semitism, you fail to see the forest for the trees. More fool you.
42. To: Nour at No. 35
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.17.09)
For the record, Nour, Jordan is the Palestinian state. Remember how Jordan got created? I will remind you. When the British discovered oil in Mesopotamia in the 1920s, they found a nomadic tribe they felt they could trust, and made the scion of that tribe (Feisal) "king of Iraq." Well, Feisal had a baby brother, named Abdullah. Abdullah stamped his widdle foot and said he wanted to be a king, too. So the British carved out a chunk of PALESTINE, called it the "Kingdom of the Transjordan" and made Abdullah a king, too. That's your Palestinian state. You can all go live there and if you really behave and are nice, Israel will not retake its historical birthright from you. Okay? Be good, now, and get over it. The world is pretty much sick of Palestinian violence, Palestinian rhetoric and Palestinian terror. There is one pretty good way to make it all go away: if you are really, really good, that option won't be exercised, okay?

no Sarah, the world is sick of Israeli nonsense. we used to buy into your schtick but now we know better. stop trying to rewrite history and for god's sake stop believing your own lies. you're supposed to be the most intelligent community on the planet but you act like a bunch of headless chickens
44. woe..woe..woe
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.17.09)
unto those that bend their knee in worship before an idol of man. Woe unto those who proffer a love that is patronizing, strong over weak, mighty over meek. Even the exalted wealthy, with their idols of worship, in their haughty towers on high, will one day fall.
45. To: David at No. 40
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.17.09)
Would that be the same CIA that asserted the Shah of Iran would never be deposed? Would that be the same CIA that asserted that Noriega would never act contrary to the interests of the United States: Would that be the same CIA that confidently predicted it could overthrow Fidel Castro? Would that be the same CIA that predicted that the British Army would restore order in Northern Ireland within three months? Would that be the same CIA that predicted that Morocco would defeat the Polisario in the Spanish Sahara in a matter of days? Would that be the same CIA that said that King Idris of Libya would never be dislodged by the military? Would that be the same CIA that assured President Eisenhower that France would never allow Algerian independence? Would that be the same CIA that confidently predicted that Juan Peron would never be allowed to return to Argentina? See where this is going, David? As to your earlier points -- Russia and China talk much, do nothing. Remember China saying that they would never tolerate a nuclear North Korea and would take military action to prevent it? So, what happened? Russia's army is so bogged down in Chechnya and other burgeoning trouble spots in the country; their armaments industry is not as good as they want people to believe and they have enough on their plate with a rapidly tanking economy and a very unhappy populace. Iran's much-vaunted test firing of its long-range missiles was a dismal failure. Oh .... and lest you forget .... there is a big difference in having nuclear capability and being able to deliver said nuclear capability. Finally .... why does everyone talk about an air attack? Israel does have other options, you know. That's what I thought.
46. To: NTY at No. 43
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.17.09)
So, which international shtick are you buying into now? Al Qaeda? The fractious rabble that passes for Palestinians? The Tamil Tigers? The Baluchistani freedom movement that is so plaguing Pakistan these days? How about the resurgent Taliban? What about the poppy-growing, heroin-exporting farmers in Afghanistan? How about the increasingly troublesome problems in Mexico, which the Mexican government is helpless to control? What about the collapsing South Korean economy and their very eager neighbors to the north just ITCHING to invade? What about China's growing problems with Tibet (which is the last thing they need, given their seriously tanking economy). And that, dear, is just the top of the barrel. I haven't even touched upon Latin America, Europe, Central Asia or Africa. Don't be so sanctimonious. Israel is not the cause of all things evil in the world, despite what you may think. However -- if you are looking for a convenient target to blame -- you would do well to start with fundamentalist Islam, which was born, as we all know, in Iran. Have a REALLY NICE DAY.
47. Concrete Option
IRAN#1   (03.17.09)
Yes the general is right about the cocnrete part, as in concrete collapsing on the head of Israelis in their offices and homes in case their leaders get stupid ideas!

49. China, Russia, Persia .......
Tyra ,   Lebanon, USA   (03.18.09)
Yes, China is the 200 million man army. Russia and Persia are also spoken of in the Bible. They will try to attack Israel the battle of Gog/Magog and it will be the worse mistake they'll EVER make. I believe Ezekiel Chapt. 38 and 39 says they'll be food for the ravenous birds and the beasts of the fields to be devoured. I always thought the Lord would return in my children's lifetime or their children's lifetime. Now I know he'll be returning very soon in my lifetime. Israel, do what you need to do for you.

have a lot in common. - "Gog and MaGog"? WTF get real?? Eponymous area of the child Yapheth a son of Noach. These events you ascribe future significance o have already taken plan. Yavan, another son of Noach already conquered Yisroel ~ circa 2,308 years ago. I understand though, the problem with the nations has always been a ravenous lust for reward for the worship to their deities. In Xitianity and Islam (the supersessionist displacement dogmas) it is a gnosis - an evolution, advancement, a foresight, that their adherents and acolytes have received as (lizkhot) or reward. The house of Yaakov must accept this advancement "to hold the truths of the final prophet/messenger or the vestal born, water walking man-god as empirical" I doubt that will ever happen, and I will certainly never accept it as nothing more than mere fiction. However keep summoning the will of your community, keep inflicting terror with your prognostications, keep proffering a love that is consuming and insatiable, keep employing the instruments of fear mongering, force, violence and terror and who knows maybe your human manufactured prophecies shall come to pass. The sequels are unnecessary and therefore spurious at best and wholly evil and destructive at worst but, keep attempting your “soul harvest” and I have no doubt you shall reap the “reward” that you seek.

53. AY_Lamb-The Truth Hurts.........
Tyra ,   Lebanon, USA   (03.20.09)
Ezekiel Chapt 38 and 39 are not my words, they are God's words. I also don't believe there was a 200 million man army at that time, and quite frankly would have been impossible for anyone to imagine. It's not impossible now, it's reality. My reward is an eternity with the Lord. Your comments yet again prove to me we are in the last days when evil is good and good is evil. May God Bless you AY_Lamb so that someday you will also seek the truth.

"The truth Hurts"?? interesting choice of words, interesting presumption, because I feel NO "pain" or "hurt" at your truth. I simply don't accept it - Sorry - I too shall recall you in my conversations with HaShem. Have a great day B'Ezrat HaShem
