Did you know that many Nazi officers (in fact, Hitler himself) were known for their love of animals - yet they were nevertheless capable of unspeakable acts of cruelty and evil towards other humans. If Dr. Shehada is trying to whitewash the crimes of the Muslim world then he is not doing a very good job of it.

i think that their was a mercy to animals bfore islam and before any religion and sure without animal liberty organizations .it is the relation between animals and men but i want to tell a hadeeth here about the mufti in islam muhammad said - make your heart a mufti if you suspect about mufti saying - it means islam rules are with the nature of the life but mufti fore more knowledge to ignorants but not to hhater of islam

and let me tell you that some of the local Muslims (particularly kids) were vicious towards animals. I also saw what some Bedouin kids have been doing to animals in the Negev. Where exactly do they get inspiration to act in such a cruel fashion?

You should tell that person that he doesn’t know what he is talking about. This is basics. IF the basics are wrong -- you should know that whatever (understanding) is build upon those fundaments MUST also be wrong. MEANING : If the basic stuff is wrong -- everything else WILL be wrong.
