1. Jerusalem is the Jewish capital of Israel
Bennie ,   Jerusalem   (03.19.09)
Why should Arab squatters be allowed to continue living on stolen Jewish land in the Jewish capital of Israel?
2. Maybe? Just Maybe?
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.19.09)
Maybe the palis would stop complaining threatening and whining long enoug to sit down and try to work out a solution. But if that happened, what would happen to the terror leaders like abbas, dahlan, qurei, haniyeh and the other islamonazis? They would all be unemployed.
3. Jerusalem the Only Holie place to Judaisn.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (03.19.09)
One of the most popular lies that has become universally accepted as if it was an indisputable truth is the myth about Jerusalem being the third sacred place to Islam. It is quite rare to hear the honest truth, that Jerusalem is the First and Only Holiest place to Judaism! As a matter of fact, Jerusalem is not mentioned at all in the koran, and Muhammad has never been there (perhaps he did not even know about the existence of Jerusalem!). The tale about his dream flight has been related with Jerusalem in a very recent time for political strategy purposes. The Islamic claim to the Temple Mount is very recent - Jerusalem's role as "The Third Holiest Site in Islam" in mainstream Islamic writings does not precede the 1930s. It was created by the grand mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini as explained at : http://xrl.us/bjheo
4. No rights to Arabs on Jerusalem.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (03.19.09)
Arabs and/or Muslims have no historical rights on Jerusalem. In the days of Muhammad, who died in 632 c.e., Jerusalem was a Christian-occupied city within the Byzantine Empire. Jerusalem was captured by caliph Omar only in 638 c.e. About 80 years after Muhammad died, Malik's son, Abd el-Wahd ‒who ruled in 705-715‒ reconstructed the Christian-Byzantine Church of St. Mary and converted it into a mosque, he named it El-Aqsa, so it would sound like the one mentioned in the Koran as described at : http://xrl.us/bjheo

KEEP IT UP!!
10. East Jerusalem is Israel
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.19.09)
It was formally annexed in 1980. As a sovereign state, Israel has the absolute right to do in Jerusalem -- the national capital -- whatever it likes. Anyone who doesn't like that, is free to leave. Remember when the Jews were deported from East Jerusalem by Jordan in 1948? Payback's a bitch ....
11. as far as i am concerned they can tear down the rest of E J
birdy   (03.19.09)
also!! and transfer out all who are squatters
12. Ha ha! "Judaize" Jerusalem, the Eternal City of the Jews!
Forrest Gumpowitz ,   USA   (03.19.09)
That's a good one! Nice redundancy there, that is! Yeah, okay! Let's Judaize the Jews! Yes, PLEASE Judaize us, we desperately want to be Judaized!! It's kind of like saying the Muslims are trying to "Islamicize" Mecca or the Catholicsare trying to "Christianize" Vatican City.
13. What's wrong with 'judaizing' the
dave ,   uk   (03.19.09)
Jewish capital of the Jewish people in the Jewish country of Israel?!
14. What does it have to do with Judaize?
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.19.09)
Muslims living in other parts of Jerusalem or Israel aren't being pushed out... And spare us the ethnic crap, 60% of Israel are Mizrahi that are as dark if not darker than Palestinians. The houses were built illegally, its as simple as that.
15. #1 Bennie
(03.19.09)
Oh Bennie, how soon you forget... Berlin 1933 Berlin is the Aryan capital of Germany Why should Jewish squatters be allowed to continue living on stolen Aryan land in the Aryan capital of Germany?
16. Sounds like something Goebbels would say
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.19.09)
How dare those Jews think that they have any rights in their own country. Message for the PA - Jerusalem is a Jewish city in a Jewish country. Don't like it TFB and FO.
17. Arabs multiply to make up over 225,000 residents
Avraham ,   NYC   (03.19.09)
of Jerusalem yet have the chutzpah to say anything about Judaizing???
18. if we wanted to ethnically cleans Jerusalem...
Golan ,   SL   (03.19.09)
if we wanted to ethnically cleanse Jerusalem we would first call it disengagement, then we would invite the media, remove the people respectfully, and only THEN tear down the homes.
19. By terrorizing the Jews you lost yours chances
e.m.Jordan is Palest ,   s.f   (03.19.09)
Beside do not forget that in history the Muslims nations have kicked out the Jews from their land and confiscated the entire their proprieties, By the way from the beginning Jerusalem has been owned by the Jews, in the end co-existence with Muslims is impossible.
20. Please be true
Paul ,   Jerusalem, ISrael   (03.19.09)
May this only be true and the start of a renewed effort to impose rightful Jewish ownership over every inch of our Land. Nothing in Israel was ever or will ever belong to Islamic of any nationality.
21. Opposite is true. J'lem Municipality took in Palestinians
Jake   (03.19.09)
from the West Bank who no longer wished to live under the corrupt Arafatist rule of the P.A. kleptocracy , and preferred to live under Israeli "occupation".
22. To number 4. No Arabs have all the right
Palestinian   (03.19.09)
First, the Christian Byzantine Kingdom you mention was Arab. It was called the Ghassanids. It was a pro-Roman kingdom. Second, Arabs before Islam were either Christian, Pagans, and some were Jewish. Example, Herod the Great. Example of Pagan Arabs in Palestine include the Nabateans, Idumeans, etc... all the way to the Canaanites who are an extension of Arabians tribes. Palestine is part of north Arabia you like it or not. Second of all, today's Palestinians are descendents of the Semitic people who inhabited Palestine since the dawn of history. Whether Canaanites or Hebrews, their blood flows in that of the Palestinians. Many of the Jews converted during Roman times, and not all Jews present in Palestine were Israelites. Some were Arabs, as I mentioned Herod is only an example. The presence of Arabian tribes in Palestine is ancient and goes back to 2500B.C. See this http://www.palestinefacts.org/pf_early_palestine_first_arabs.php Finally, many of today's Jews may have nothing to do with the Israelites or the semitic people. One is Judaism is a religion that one can convert into and out of it. This is the reason why many Khazars converted to Judaism. Thererfore, the world is not Black and White as you describe. Islam as a religion has presence in Palestine since the dates you mentioned... Arabs not, sorry.... get your facts right next time.
23. To: No. 15
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.19.09)
How little you know. Several millennia ago, the land belonged to the Jews. Then it was a Roman palatinate (that's where the word Palestine comes from; it doesn't derive from Philistine). Then it was fought over and control of the land changed hands. Until the Ottoman Turks took control, the only group that held it for any length of time were the Crusaders. By the time it fell under control of the Ottoman Empire, new routes to the East had evolved, and a whole new world had opened for conquest, and everybody forgot about Palestine .... Except, of course, for the Jews, who whenever possible endeavored to return. The Jewish commuinity in Safed is a prime example, as is the Jewish community in Hebron. They have been there since the late Middle Ages. For the most part, Palestine fell into neglect. It became a backwater of the Ottoman Empire. It was holy only to the Jews. The Ottoman Turks controlled the Balkans. Some Moslem groups in the Balkans were such a contentious lot, that in order to preserve a fragile co-existence between Orthodox Christian groups and Moslem communities, the most troublesome were booted out of the Balkans and sent to live in Palestine. Where they lived in filth and squalor -- hey --- some things never change --- and, because Palestine, with the exception of the small Jewish communities there, was a neglected, dismal place -- desert in the south; swamp in the north. Most of the transplanted Moslems from the Balkans drifted -- into Iraq, into Egypt, into the Levant, even as far west as the Maghreb. Half of the people who consider themselves Arab are, in fact, not. They descend from the Moslem rabble that so plagued the Ottoman Turks in the Balkans. Let's fast forward a bit. Following violent episodes of anti-Semitism in Europe, and particularly following the Dreyfus trial in France, the Zionist movement was born. It is the national movement to re-establish as a modern state the historical homeland of the Jewish people. The land that the Jews moved onto was BOUGHT AND PAID FOR from the Ottoman Turks, who had controlled it for 500 years. No one objected to that control; no one ever challenged it. Ergo, the land was the property of the Ottoman Turks, and they sold it to the Jews. No one else had ever agitated for a state in that region. IN FACT, even when the Palestinians were OFFERED their own state in 1947, they rejected the offer, choosing to go to war instead. They lost. Bad choice. Not Israel's responsibility to fix. And even following that loss, at no time between 1948 and 1967 did Arabs on the West Bank clamor for their own state; they were perfectly happy to live under Jordanian rule. The same holds true for the Arabs in Gaza; they were content to live under Egyptian rule. So stop all this nonsense about "stolen land" and "Iillegal squatters." You don't get to rewrite history just because it suits a political agenda you may have. The land belonged to the Jews several millennia ago. The Jews have always striven to return to our ancient homeland. We cleared swamps, and reclaimed desert, and built cities out of sand dunes. No one else has ever loved the land as much as the Jews, no one has as much right to the land as much as the Jews and the Jews bought and paid for it -- with money, and -- thanks to Arab aggression and Arab terror -- with blood. It belongs to the Jews. Forever. Anyone living in the State of Israel that doesn't like it is free to leave. The sooner, the better.
24. #15 Isn't that cute? "Nameless" wants to sound smart...
Etoile ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.19.09)
First off, the German Jews owned that land fair and square. Meaning, they followed the legal procedures, they bought it with hard-earned money and held the legal deeds. Those particular Arabs of e. Jerusalem did none of those things, hence they are illegal squatters who "stole the land." Please don't soil the names of six million dead Jews by implying that their murders by the Nazis were justified. It just makes you sound like an idiot.
25. lol @ #15
John Uhler ,   juhler93@yahoo.com   (03.19.09)
"Several millennia ago, " !!!!? okaaaay, I suppose then that the Native Americans may also claim the united states of america back in a few millennias or how about the guy who was sitting in my bar stool just two weeks ago !!! Absurd!

Adam ,   USA   (03.20.09)
29. Waleed
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.20.09)
How does it feel knowing that their are people in your religion who think that there is nothing more sacred then to blow yourself up for an invisible god? Would you knowingly let your children join the "resistance?" Meaning, you'd never see them again but it meant some dead Jews? Whether or not you answer yes, there are Jihadists around the world who would....and you need to come to grips that behind the politics, land struggle, and history....these extremists hurt their own people more than any. Your comment is morose and shameful. It shows the true nature of your people and why we do not have peace.
30. Walid, you're the idiot
Avraham ,   NYC   (03.20.09)
We'll reclaim that portion of Lebanon which is historically Jewish land. One day, with G-d's help.
