1. Well, of course!
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.21.09)
He's here because Hamas is staggering following learning that they have to prove that Gilad Shalit is alive before ANYTHING goes forward .... Duh ... first time Hamas has actually been called to task, isn't it, and they are scampering like the rats they are. Prove that Gilad Shalit is alive, Hamas, and we can talk. Until then ---- prepare to die.

5. Hamas manipulates media
mea   (03.21.09)
This is just a ploy to get the Shalit deal back up to the front page and keep the Israeli public charged up about the exchange. Hamas must surely be a bit concerned at the Shalit family resignation and the many people saying that perhaps it will be better to not realize Hamas murderers afterall. The fact is, many people believe they should not be released, so Hams may have blown it for themselves. They can go to hell. As for Shalit being released, I feel there is validity in not cooperating with the deal, even though that hurts very much to say.
6. #5 you are wrong-hamass does not do the manipulation
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.21.09)
hamass does not manipulate the media. It is the media that is doing the manipulation. The left wing media, including those in Israel like yediot and the German owned haaretz, willfully and proudly toe the terrorist hamass/fatah line doing all they can to paint the Jewish State in a bad light. "Journalists" like ali waked and gideon levy have free reign to lambaste us at every turn. Reprinting articles from services like reuters, that openly admits it lies in its coverage, the leftist anti-Israel media voluntarily act as spin-doctors for the islamonazis.
7. Possible chance after 1,000 days of Gilad Shallit’s imprison
H.H.M ,   Israel / Jerusalem   (03.21.09)
Possible chance after 1,000 days of Gilad Shallit’s imprisonment Abu Marzouk, Hamas deputy politburo chief, now again declared that they want to have their people back after “…we are not here on a trip just to leave our brothers in prison, where some of them have been for 25 and 32 years…” At the same time he claims “…I am certain that the number of prisoners to be released – 450 – was agreed upon a year and a half ago via Egypt…” which definitely shows that the talks via Egyptian mediators were not broken off and the “…Near East’s market negotiation…” can go on. Now with Bibi Natanyahu’s additional 14 days of grace for forming and Olmert successor’s government, it is up to Ehud Olmert to continue his efforts to get Gilad Shallit release in exchange of the to be released Hamas / Fatach and other organizations Arab prisoners. It is now still Prime Minister’s Ehud Olmert last chance to succeed where he apparently invested the usual efforts of Israel’s soldiers return by last minute additional efforts Gilad Shallit after by now already over 1,000 days in Hamaz hands. Apparently no suitable occasion / meeting during Cast Lead actions was arrange / used or reported, as well as no action to liberate Gilad Shallit was made.
8. Khaled Mashaal
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (03.21.09)
Mashaal is wrong ! Not Israel's behavor, but Israel's concessions, will encourage Hamas to do more kidnappings.Israel should adopt Russia's way of dealing with terrorist kidnappings.During the none civil war in Lebanon in the seventies, an Arab chieftain, kidnapped a Russian Diplomat. The Russians, reciprocated,by kidnapping the chieftain's brother, the Russian diplomat was immediately freed. A great Talmudic commentator,in the 12 or 13 century, Rabbi Meir of Rotenburg was inprisoned by a Geman prince, asking for a high amount of money as ransom.Rabbi Meir, forbade the community to pay the ransom.Rabbi Meir died in prison.some years back,Geulah cohen,a member of the Kneset, opposed negotiating With terrorist kidnappers, when asked, how about if your son is kidnapped ?,she answered,if this happens, don't consult with me.Israel, must do everything to bring Gilad Shalit home, except,to negociate with Hamas. With Barbarians, you have to talk,Barbarian.

Bob O'Really ,   Australia   (03.22.09)
"Until then........(drumroll)....prepare to die." Hamas could show you Shalit, but it would be like a scene out of "Weekend at Bernies"! Its time for your medicine again, Sarah.

Cynthia ,   USA   (03.22.09)
They've provided no proof Gilad is alive and in no position to make any demands.
