Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.22.09)
Okay, so it was an attempted terrorist attack with potentially devastating consequences. Very good. You're learning. What are you going to do about it?
2. does anyone...
ghostq   (03.22.09)
noticed how Hamas manipulated the situation so now even Fatah suporters r in blockade, typical behavior by Hamas- "if we r in blockad everyone should be in blockad", lol again a fine exemple for palestinians r their own worst enemy.
3. DIFFICULT LEARNING CURVE
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (03.22.09)
The moment that Mr. Sofer starts using the proper names Judea and Shomron, instead off the west bank, terrorism as we know will cease to exist from there. As writers for the media it seems that there is little to no awareness off the power off the written word. As long as incorrect and false names are used for the heartland off Israel, we will suffer because off it. I understand that to be political correct is an compulsive need for some off us in desperate need to be accepted by an hostile world. Strangely enough as soon as we believe and stand for our rights, the world will show us respect. Weakness and wavering that has become the trademark off our defeatist brethren among us, encourages hostility among the nations.
4. Prevented? You main accidently not blown off?
uli ,   Jerusalem   (03.22.09)
Maybe make your homeworks, bring back checkpoints and start to investigate the Israeli Arab terror.
5. State,Police,Security fail:only dumbluck prevented disaster
Tevye ,   Chelm   (03.22.09)
maybe return checkpoints? "goodwill" to Abbas and Palestinians costs Israeli lives. Olmert knows this but still is willing to bet with our lives!
6. let's swap the car bomb for shalit
(03.22.09)
7. Olmert is blaming Hamass,,,,but it was clearly Fatah!
freejay ,   Israel   (03.22.09)
There is no moderate Fatah faction in the Weat Bank....Olmert is a pathetic joke!
8. PAY ATTENTION

9. Why are we trying so hard to ignore the israeli arab factor?

10. report
alex ,   arava   (03.22.09)
Yet another attempt to kill innocent people.... lets see if the worlds media reports this one.... or isnt it important enough until another one has gone off.
11. we hear no condemnation...
oded   (03.22.09)
from the bleeding hearts euroabians... or the united- nothing, or the britanistans..... oh, i forgot, for them, this was an act of """"freedom- fighters...""""
12. Vive la culture
Jean-Pierre ,   Holon, Israel   (03.22.09)
This is the cultural event that the Palestinians planned to celebrate in Haifa. Is there anything else they contributed to the world culture? Oh yes: Plane hijacking, shelling of civilians, suicide belts and the top of the top is the reward of 72 virgins somewhere in a hot place. Ask the virgins what they think of this culture? .
13. lucky this time
meg ,   israel   (03.22.09)
no detination, BUT what about next time? TB #8 is right, when quiet seems our guard goes down until the next bomb that does explode, then for a while security is high, but cools down. Yes checkpoints have to be in place, as nasty as it seems to our Arab citizens and all the lefties and civil rights groups find it, but this is peoples lives at stake, and remember us jews also have to go through the checks...I for one am ok with it, but then I have nought to fear from them.
14. If
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah   (03.22.09)
B"H If "The terrorists tried to detonate a heavy demolition charge of dozens of kilograms of explosives, and fortunately it didn't explode," is true, how can the prime minister declare that "The citizens' alertness and the police and security forces' quick response prevented a grave disaster."? One of this two statements has to be a lie, per definition. Then the prime minister carries on and says "The attempted terror attacks in the State of Israel continued and continue, originating among other places in the West Bank, where Hamas seeks to establish its infrastructure and status.", but he keeps silent about the fact that these very territories are currently controlled by his so called moderate, Shoa negating peace partner, Abbas, with whom he can talk, hug and finance with millions of dollars, weapons and good-will released terrorists. Sounds crazy? It does. Maybe because it is crazy. There is an urgent need for Jewish policies for a Jewish state and bringing in Barak to the new government doesn't go in this direction. Netanyahu can do it, but it doesn't make it right. See www.thetorahrevolution.blogspot.com
15. Agree with DAVID #3 - 100%

Left go shove your correctness...
16. #3: Excellent Point
emanon ,   USA   (03.22.09)
This is the same reason I call the present residents of Gaza what they REALLY are: terrorstinians. To call them by any other name denies the fact that terror is all they are interested in, certainly not peace, and they have no legitimate claim to Israeli land.
17. israeli protests
alexi   (03.22.09)
Olmert and barak ought to shut the hell up with their whining and crying. If action needs to be taken, take it and shut the hell up. You want to deal with gaza, retake philadelphi and fire land to land rockets into gaza in reply. Grab the top leadership to trade. You don't want to then go to hell and shut up.
