1. Why doesn't the Eu do us a favor and....
DB ,   Jerusalem   (03.22.09)
move all these wonderful and peaceful Palestinians to Europe. A few more Arabs there will hardly be noticed. And what a great benefit it will bring to world peace, its primary mission.
2. Quote:
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.22.09)
For that reason, when it comes to the main hardcore issue, the “right of return,” discussions on the subject must be undertaken at the start of the process, even before Israel makes the first concession.
3. The Jewish state, should not seek to make peace at any price
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (03.22.09)
There is no hope for the Jewish state surviving in the nastiest neighborhood in the world if it presents itself as inwardly irresolute and unwilling to engage in war. The Arab adversary should always be fully aware that Israel is resolute, steadfast and more ready to wage war than agree to a fraudulent peace. If the Arab and Muslim world rejects Israel, it must live with the consequences of its enmity and become the ultimate loser. A Jewish state, which no longer seeks to make peace at any price will prosper and grow. It will also engender respect from both its friends and its enemies. As to the Palestinians peoplehood: http://xrl.us/osjrj
4. The entire concept of “right of return” is to demolish ...
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (03.22.09)
The entire concept of “right of return” is to demolish Israel. The whole intent of the so-called “right of return” is to destroy the Jewish state. The Palestinians claim the right for those who fled what became Israel during the 1947-48 war and for all their descendants. The idea is to overwhelm the Jewish population and demolish Israel. The concept of “right of return” serves only as a weapon against Israel. But who is the real responsible for the actual situation ? Truth and facts at : http://xrl.us/bkj57
5. Talk to Hamas after USA talks to Al Qaeda!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.22.09)
Yes, as usual, according to the USA, the EU, the Quartet and the whole bloody symphony orchestra, Israel must do this and Israel must do that while they appease the Muslims and kowtow to the Arab Sheiks! It is time that Israel demanded from these 21st Century Chamberlains that THEY demand that the Arab world embark on a peace track without endangering the survival of Israel and its people. Once and for all its must be pointed out to President Obama, President Sarkozy, Prime Minister Brown, Tony Blair and their merry men and women that the ONLY obstacles to Peace in the Middle East are the Muslim state of war against Israel and Arab terrorism. The consequences of their belligerence is the self inflicted "suffering" of the Palestinian people whose are determined to destroy Israel.
6. Courageous
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah   (03.22.09)
B"H No Jewish answers here, nevertheless this is a courageous article by an establishment figure in politically correct times. I wonder what his take is on Iran.
7. The West has only 2 state solution as option
Sam ,   Canada   (03.22.09)
The West (unlike the Arabs) at least wants a GENUINE 2 state solution. That is a Jewish state and a Palestinian state. The Western leaders and most Jews who want peace are not idiots. They won't tolerate Arab efforts to end a Jewish Israel. Neither will the West fight so the Jews can have biblical borders. The West hopes that the Arabs will relent and accept a Jewish-majority Israel. Until then the Palestinians will have only the status quo.
8. Never mins the West. Israel should be honest with itself!
MC   (03.22.09)
The West is not being dishonest it is being underhand. Israeli leaders should be responsible. Instead of listening to the West which has ulterior motives and it's own agenda is alighning itself to the Arab lies. It believes that by sacrificing Israel it will save itself. The world and current Israeli leaders have forgotten that the Arab agenda is a global govenment in which feedom and democracy are overidden by Sharia law. No democratic loving country is immune to this. Israel needs to bury any ideas of makning peace, it is simply not going to happen as it's not the Arab agenda, which is to destroy it. We must learn to be strong and defend ourselves at all costs and all negotiations for peace must stop!! They are only the prelude to the destruction of the state.Haven't we seen enough since Oslo?! The process should be reversed and Israel should put all it's energy into security and safety for the people and stop wasting time and money on anything else which will ultimately harm it. Israel must learn the Obama slogan of Change.... Which for Israel means walking away from capitualting to the enemy and fight back with all the might it can fight. This is a war of survival and the west is joining in on the side of our enemies and we can't see that. We must wake up and recognise this and FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT whatever it takes Israel must do it and do it now..No more appeasement.
9. moshe,
boris, ,   nyc, us   (03.22.09)
there is no honesty or dishonesty in politics, only national interests: 1 us and eu need arab oil 2 us politics towards israel affected powerful jewish lobby 3 eu politics affected by shameful behavior during times of wwii arab countries and iran politics affected by: 1 their religion calling for word domination(specially in israel located in the midst of them) 2 own economicall and political problems israel can achieve peace in the region: 1 by defeating her arab enemy(peaceful borders with egypt, jordan, syria) 2 promote arab emigration( even by force) from israel (including judea, samaria and gaza 3 turning israel politics to china, india, russia and others who need israel know-how
10. The West, who cares?
Frank ,   Canada   (03.22.09)
The real problem of Israel is not with the West but with Arabs and unfortunately, Israeli leaders are not working at addressing this problem seriously. Arabs are not likely to accept a Jewish state anytime soon, so Israel must develop new strategies to permanently defeat Arabs. A peace based on a compromise is the best option on the paper but the truth is that Arabs don't want it, so peace must be achieved by defeating Arabs. This pattern worked with Germany and Japan, it will work with Arabs.
11. Never Agree
Dan ,   USA   (03.22.09)
Whomever is negotiating for Israel must state in the beginning there will never be a Right Of Return for Arabs. If this should ever happen Israel will no longer be a place for Jews to live. I can't imagine an Israeli government ever giving into this demand, but strange things happen in the world of politics.
12. EU and USA would be better off....
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.23.09)
spending all their money they pledge to Gaza on new condominiums in Jordan and Egypt so that those countries can welcome their brothers home.
