have some sense, what the Israely gov waiting for, make thos prisoners lives a living hell, thos guys understand only violence.
2. Visit Gilad
Israeli ,   Israel   (03.23.09)
Our government should have thought of this almost 3 years ago when Gilad was kidnapped. Until he is allowed visitors and phone calls, the terrorists in Israeli prisons won't have them either. They should also be kept in solitary confinement and not be in rooms with all their friends. I can't believe how stupid we've been with this whole case, and poor Gilad and his family are paying the price.

Hamas uses their civilians as human shields, murders their own people, and glorifies death and suffering. Why would this make them suddenly cave in and return Shalit?
4. sharon prison

Israel cannot really pressure Hamas directly. However, the only ones who can really exert any pressure on Hamas are Gaza families and WB families that suddenly will lose all contact with their loved ones. Hamas will lose popularity if they will not bend. They only gain when Israel attacks them directly. Something like this would erode their support and would result in internal pressure for them to be more reasonable. Whether they would actually do anything is anyones guess.
6. no visitors
Ilana   (03.23.09)
Itis exasperating seeing cruel cold blooded murderers like Samir Kuntar leave Israeli prisons with a fat belly, a degree, thousands of reading materials and tv pleasure. While Gilad is in some hole God know where with nothing and no visitors not even by the red cross.
7. Do we really think we can win a war like that?
m   (03.23.09)
Abbas a-Sayid, the mastermind behind the bombing of the Park Hotel in Netanya on Pessah 2002 who is among those whose release Hamas demands in exchange for Gilad Schalit, shares an air-conditioned room with two others, with a bathroom, television and DVD, has outside sports time twice a day and prayer time, and is allowed visitors on a biweekly basis. He is currently, while in prison, pursuing a degree in international relations from the Open University.
8. Human rights groups should support this
JPS ,   Efrat   (03.23.09)
There should be an immediate equation of rights between Shalit and Hamas prisoners. Every human rights group has the choice of either supporting this, or condemning Hamas and demanding it immediately obey international law and allow the Intl Red Cross/Crescent to visit Shalit. The Hamas prisoners should immediately be isolated: -no phone calls -no visitors at all -no lawyers -no television or radio -all cell phones siezed Give them 3 meals a day and any necessary medical attention, and they can sit in their cells 24/7 until we get proof that Shalit gets exercise time outdoors.
9. It's about time!
EST ,   Miami, USA   (03.23.09)
Stop ALL prisoner communication with the outside...dole it out bit by bit as we have proof Gilad is getting the same! TV, DVD, etc., etc. for them is IMMORAL and obscene for these ...@@#
