32. Look in the mirror.
reality check ,   Tel Aviv   (03.23.09)
That is where you will find the appropriate party to take "responsiblity" for what happened to your son. I think it's pretty obvious your son knew he wasn't coming to Israel to float in the Dead Sea.
33. Tristan was charged w/ a crime in a protest case.

36. What a piss take!
Ben ,   London, UK   (03.23.09)
What are bunch of horse s*. These parents should have taught their son better. They taught him to put his life in danger by attending protests around the world under the supposedly idea of fighting injustice. The Naalin people are violent and dangerous (not like the parents want us to believe). At the end of the day they are just a bunch of Hooligans hiding behind the idea of fighting injustice in order to legitimize their behaviour. Take any country or society in the world and if you act the way these losers do, you will have to take responsibility for being charged by the police (or people in general). I throw a rock at cops here in London most likely they will use force to stop me. So for being a hooligan you expect someone to actually say sorry to you or to ask how you are feeling? Tristan is the only person to be blamed and should deal with it on his own. I am happy though that the Israeli hospital have the humanity to do all their best to save his useless life. Sorry for the parents but you failed.
37. Tristan Anderson's previous arrest in the U.S.
Rod ,   Fargo U.S.A   (03.23.09)
Tristan Anderson is no do gooder he was arrested 2yrs ago in California for assaulting a Police officer.[The Oakland, California resident was arrested two years ago for erecting a makeshift camp on University of California grounds and participating in a lengthy “tree sit-in” to protest a planned cutting down of 38 trees to make room for a stadium and buildings for law and business schools. Anderson and two others violently clashed with campus police, who caught the protestors tearing down a fence around the grove of trees. One of the police officers was hospitalized after the protestors threw a liquid that left his eyes burning.]

39. Tristan got what he deserved
David ,   Montpelier, USA   (03.23.09)
just like Rachel Corrie. They were there to help people murder Israelis and Jews. They are enemies of Israel, no different than Hamas.
40. responsibility
Ray ,   San Diego USA   (03.23.09)
When you travel to a foriegn land to stick your nose in her business accept the responsibility. Pay for the hoslpital bill and get him to a PA hospital in Gaza. Good shooting troops.
41. To: Ruth at No. 27
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.23.09)
His being a practiced and fluent liar does not make you an idiot, Ruth. Please don't berate yourself. Besides, he is paying a very heavy price for having lied.
42. to #22 and #9
normal ,   Beer Sheva, Israel   (03.23.09)
to #9, how comfortable is the chair on whom your sitting on while writing the response? again, someone sitting in another country like to speak, do us a favor, stop believing the things you see on cnn and al-jazeera and take the time to learn on the conflict and see all sides, not only the side that appears to be more forlorn then it is actually is. to #22, I wont enter into the biblical history cause frankly, it is not my strong side, but I would like to see the world watching the hamas firing form hospitals, international sites, schools, normal neighborhoods. moreover to see the killing of innocent people by hamas because the think differently. also, I want the world to see the kids that hamas is using has human shields, the staging scenes where you shoot playwood and the places where you edit them. oh almost forgot, the hamas soldiers which hide in shifa hospital wearing white gowns, the ambulances which are hamas's official troops carriers and munitions (including exploding belts) and of course the truck full of rice which we halted in a crossing checkpoint, after checking it one of my soldiers decided to move one more rice bag just in case only to find 20 quassam rockets... get the point?
43. Tristan Anderson hurt
Ger ,   Raanana, Israel`   (03.23.09)
For quite some time now, there have been violent demonstrations at the site, so anyone going there to participate in a "peace demonstration" has to know there is potential danger. It's too bad he was injured, but he was a willing participant in the violence.
44. play with fire .. you will get burned
EG   (03.23.09)
play with fire .. you will get burned .. keep these anarchist bastards out of israel
45. #22
Yaron ,   USA   (03.23.09)
Are you kidding me DUDE? You guys just can not get out of your own way. Look at all the opps your leadeship have missed to provide you and yours a better quality of life then the previous generation. It is a true tragedy to see you and yours continue to behave like ignorant hateful fools generation after generation.....but as you see in the results, Israel continues to thrive while the Palestinians have conferences to beg for more money for rice, wheat, and flour. Don't you think it is a real shame too? It can't ALL be Israel's fault now can it?
46. #16
jv ,   LA, USA   (03.23.09)
Because his parents undoubtedly hold the same political views as their son and pay for his airfare and support while he runs from place to place causing trouble.
47. To Tristan's Parents
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem - ISRAEL   (03.23.09)
So the father demands justice for son ...!!! Let Tristan's parents hereby know that the Palestinians can take care of themselves without their son or any other outsider. We simply do not need juveniles or adolescents. We do not want any American to be hero of the Palestinian cause.Period !
48. Dangerous anarchist!
John Burg, MD ,   NY, USA   (03.23.09)
Only now he is no threat! Neglectfull parents must take responsibility for the monster they sired & pay all bills to the State of Israel!
49. I Love The Way srealis Present Themselves On This Site
World Citizen ,   the world   (03.23.09)
Surely if the civilized world doesn't have a negative opinion they do after reading the delusional excuses posited by the average Israeli poster at Ynet. At some point I think the whole world is going to realise what a troublesome lot your country is. When the United States quits covering for your crimes at the United Nations, 60 years worth of well deserved sanctions will fall on your heads. And crying and whining about anti-semitism will fall on deaf ears. It won't work this time around.
50. Peace Activists
Aryeh ,   NY, USA   (03.23.09)
That's an oxymoron if there ever was one. The mistake Israel made was not answering these "peace activists" with stronger measures.
51. Reply to #45
Concerned Israeli ,   Hasharon, Israel   (03.23.09)
"Israel continues to thrive"? Go tell that to the people in Sderot who lived in bomb shelters for two years. The Palestinians have more money than they have brains. All the "aid" goes into the pockets of the who's who. They would rather starve their own people than give them money. Where are you living? Suha Arafat is sitting in Tunisia with all the millions she stole from the Palestinian people. During the entire operation Cast Lead, Israel allowed humanitarian aid to pass through the Erez Checkpoint. What other country gives food to its enemies? We're a bunch of suckers.
52. Reply to #47

Juveniles or adolescents? Wake up . This idiot is 38 years old
53. Reply to #48
Concerned Israeli ,   Hasharon, Israel   (03.23.09)
Tristan has no health insurance. I hope his parents lose their house in order to pay the bills. He's been in ICU for over 10 days now. Plus 3 brain surgeries. All that care for someone who is an enemy of Israel. I'd like to see the care he'd get in Ramallah.
54. To Sara #41
Ruth ,   Kochav Yair Israel   (03.23.09)
You have no idea. Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. He comes off like the biggest nerd in the world. Who knew?
55. Letter To Mr. and Mrs.Anderton
Lawrence ,   Safed Israel   (03.23.09)
The honest truth is your damn fool son travelled to a foreign country looking for trouble and trouble he found. He broke the law and stuck his nose where it does not belong.Perhaps you should have raised him better and to be more responsible.Your boy is a damn fool and a troublemaker.
56. Read a quote from his own friend on abcnews
Jeff ,   Israel   (03.23.09)
"He knows how Israel has been treating people, so I wouldn't say he went into this with his eyes closed he knew what was possible," said Jake Sternberg, Anderson's friend. http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/local/east_bay&id=6709359
57. Andersons should return their home to Native Americans
Joe ,   Israel   (03.23.09)
Israelis aren't going to America to protest Manifest Destiny.
58. He assumed the risk. He found out it's not all fun and games
American   (03.23.09)
the hard way. Entering a closed military zone and participating in protests that turn violent is stupid if you are not willing to accept the possibility of getting hurt. Israel owes him no apology. You and he are ignorant and immature if you are not willing to accept that he needs to accept the consequences of his actions.
59. Not very comforting comments
Maria ,   MD   (03.23.09)
To Tristan parents: the comments I read were right about your son.He thought he was doing the right thing by protesting, he was wrong.Protesters always hurt in every rallies in a military war zone.
60. parents take responsebilty!
oded   (03.23.09)
