2. #1 - Hamas does not accept Israel ..
martin knopfman ,   Tel Aviv   (03.24.09)
that is all you need to know about the phoney peace process. Hamas has made it as clear as it possibly can, that it doesn't and will not accept Israel. What is it that you don't understand about that? Peace is not on the agenda right now because of Hamas. What is on the agenda? Wiping out Hamas. Martin
3. I just hope,no matter what diplomatic means are used,
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (03.24.09)

Feiglin is right. It doesn't mater who you voted for you always get a leftist government. Suicidal Israel keeps spiraling down. Bibi-yahoo is not different from Olmert.
5. this sucks! No change from Misters Netanyahu or Barak
(03.24.09)
just the same trash to be taken out only on a different day!
6. Barak is despicable
Giiora Me'ir ,   USA   (03.24.09)
His arrogance and lust for power is killing the Labor party. It's inevitable that he will bully the proposal through the central committee. I hope the seven members who oppose it will bolt from the party and form a new, social democratic, party. Leaving Barak with a six-person caucus.
7. My vote has been stolen. I voted right and don't want left.
Adam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.24.09)
8. this netanyahu is a liar and Barak too
David ,   France   (03.24.09)
He said he continued to build and now he wants to stop illegal outposts ? Barak said he will stay in the opposition to rebuild his party and now he comes in the coalition as nothing happened. liars, liars
9. Nothing less than TREASON
Marcella   (03.24.09)
Voters voted for right wing parties and Netanyahu has delivered them a LABOR platform, one that the voters completely rejected! Likud right wingers? Where are you? Will you follow your leader meekly, or will you protest and demand a Likud election of new leadership? Any real mensch left in the Likud?
10. Dumb and Dumber Plot Against Peace
Nour ,   Palestine   (03.24.09)
11. we can all say we are committed to peace
Lioness ,   Israel   (03.24.09)
but will Hamas recognize Israel, indeed will any of the the Pals recognize Israel. As for voting out kadima and the left and ending up with Labor in with Netanyahu, well lets face it our biggest problem right now is Iran and Obama capitulation to Iran. We do need some sort of national unity for the sake of the country and with this I support Netanyahu asking Labor to join his government. There will be no more disengagements as they have failed and the country will not allow that. Better for the Arabs in Judea and Samaria build their ties with Jordan and become Jordanian citizens living in Judea and Samaria and work on their economical improvement.
12. Coalition deal
DT ,   TA Israel   (03.24.09)
So Likud has been swallowed up by the Left which was predictable with Netanyahu
13. Analogies
Goliath   (03.24.09)
European colonialists can totally subjugate American Indians and Australian aborigines. Nevertheless, I am doubtful that Israel can completely conquer Palestinians even though almost all world superpowers back her.
14. To All of You- Right and Left
Yonatan ,   Haifa   (03.24.09)
Let's start this out with numbers 1 and 10, our representatives from the Arab community. You are morons. Your elected officials are morons, and you have 1400 years of documented history to prove how you and your ancestors have conducted yourselves through your history. The heritage of tribal mentality in the Arabian peninsula is still well alive in your culture. You, as a nation, are incapable of respecting other schools of thought. To the kind folks in Israel who use the word "treason" with such lightheartedness: You too are overzealous morons. Get with the now! Like it or not(I don't), a process was set in motion with the Oslo accord. Obviously, it will never work, but the government has the responsibility to act like they give a shit about the "Peace Process". This is politics. There are no rules. There is no ideology, besides basic Zionism. Bibi is getting the job done like a pro, and you should consider removing your heads from your ass for long enough to see that.
15. Terrorist Fatah and more Terrorist Hamas never meant Peace
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (03.24.09)
This why the Middle East is in this condition now
16. This is a "right wing" government?
usa   (03.24.09)

18. Bibi is a traitor to his supporters
freejay ,   Israel   (03.24.09)
I didnt vote for Likud to allow a leftist inept fool like Barak in as defense minister! Bibi is a traitor to all the people that voted for him. Elections will be reheld in one years time, and i will never vote for Bibi again!
19. Political Naivte
Leonard Eisenstein ,   south Florida, USA   (03.24.09)
Number 14, Yonatan, is absolutely correct in his analysis. Most Blogers seem to have no reality of the Political Process in this Common Era. The deal signed with Labor is a normal political ambiguity. Everything there can be taken as one chooses. Bibi need a stronger Coalition then the 64 votes pledged. He got that with Labors support. We all know the PM in Israel rules the roost. He can now govern without the threat of a minor power bringing down the Government. How many Outposts were destroyed by previous Governments that pledged the same thing. Practically none. Bibi can now move as he pleases by strategically getting rid of Kadima. Poor Livni, left out in the cold, out maneuvered by a seasoned Politician. She could have been in and Labor could have been relegated to a minor anoyance. This is Real Politic.
