ghostq   (03.24.09)
that bad after all, only the foolish arab pride that was hurt, give it a rest. you lost your arab pride long time ago. losers.
2. Is Israel Jewish?
m   (03.24.09)
During the last war in Gaza, Arabs protested in Tel Aviv with the ENEMY flags, a move unheard of in any normal state, no stones thrown on the protesters. Jews protest with Israeli flags in Arab ISRAELI town and are attacked.
3. Umm-al-Fahm is the heart of extremist Israeli Arabs!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.24.09)
Make no mistake - Umm al Fahm is not a peace-loving Israeli Arabs community seeking peaceful coexistence. Umm al Fahm is the heart of the Muslim Borotherhood, the breeding grounds of bloodthistry criminals like "Sheikh" Salah Raed, and the location of the most anti-Israeli, racist thugs gathering in the Arab sector. It is in Umm al Fahm where they call for the destruction of Israel, "liberation" of Jerusalem, and for terrorist activities against the state. Umm al Fahm is also the place of drug traffikers, notorious crime families and some of the most anti-Israeli sentiments one can find in Israel. Now considering that Meretz and other Israeli Leftist and Anarchist scum have alied themselves with these elements and rioted VIOLENTLY against a perfectly legal and peaceful demonstration, just shows how low these traitors got. I am happy to see that Meretz and all they represent did not get the Israeli public approval and got an insultingly low number of votes - what you sow is what you reap! To all the moaners and tree-huggers: we KNOW what Umm al Fahm is and represents. Feeling sorry for criminals, terrorists and traitors is not a good way of gaining votes in a democratic country. Umm Al Fahm has shown again what kind of brutal and racist monkeys it harbors. I hope that Lieberman will take some good decisions reagrding Umm al Fahm - like moving the border in such a way that Umm al Fahm becomes part of the Palestinian Authority. Let them TASTE a bit of Muslim "freedom" and "society". I am sure that nobody will be against Israel returning some land to the Plestinians, even if this land is called Umm Al Fahm.
4. March in Umm al Fahm
Judith Nusbaum ,   Rishon Letzion   (03.24.09)
Was the march work the injuries? What was accomplished when over 1000 police were required?
5. to #3
ghoatq   (03.24.09)
you right that's only proff that a lot of arabs r criminals, drug dealers thieves and basicaly up to no good.
6. Time to withdraw the border!
martin knopfman ,   tel aviv   (03.24.09)
The mayor and others of Umm el-Fahm continually describe it as "their" town, so they should be given it. They waved Palestinian and Islamic flags so it's clear where their allegiance lies. Martin
7. 2
Rosie ,   Israel   (03.24.09)
You are right. How did it happen that the Jewish majority didn't react properly to Arab provocations? How displaying The State Flag in the very state the flag belongs to, is a provocation, is beyond me; and how demonstrationg with enemy flags is not a provocation, is still farther beyond me.
8. #4 - yes, it was worth it, because more people understand ..
martin knopfman ,   tel aviv   (03.24.09)
what the left wing appeasers have brought about in Israel. The mayor and others in Umm el-Fahm consider Umm el-Fahm to be "their" (meaning not just Arab but Muslim) town. The residents are happy to accept Israeli services and welfare (social security) but then have the gall to say that Jews cannot enter 'their' town. More people now understand why Lieberman said years ago that the border must be withdrawn with Umm el-Fahm on the Arab side of it. Martin
9. Seen from Canada...
Ezra ,   Canada   (03.24.09)
...it seems israeli Arabes like to prove they are anti-democratic and strong ennemies of their state. Once again, they just made a point for Liberman and Marzel.
10. democracy in action!
oded   (03.24.09)
this parade proved two things-- israel is a democracy where every citizen has a voice. the arab population of israel will eventually have to choose which side of the fence they are in....pun intended!
11. #2 & #4
meg ,   Israel   (03.24.09)
Dont you realize they are allowed to do what they want in our democracy, and if any had thrown stones they would have been arrested. The lefties would be howling and civil rights groups condeming. Makes the blood boil doesnt it! I wonder when they will start burning our flag in Dizengoff Center, get away with it...sure they will. Israel, time to take off the kids gloves.
12. Dear injured police officers, wishing you refuah sheleima!
Avraham ,   NYC   (03.24.09)
13. I was just wondering
Raptor ,   TA   (03.24.09)
do the Israeli Arabs have the right to march and protest in any Irsaeli town. If they do will Jewish citizens throw stones at them. Just a thought.
14. What the left wing media doesn't show
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.24.09)
Is that the arabs of umm-al-fahm were all waving hamass flags. Where is the outrage by the media, ali waked, and meretz? This is Israel after all and we are at war. Yet, no one on the left senses any issue with that? Just proof that the time for the exchange has come-the arab triangle sent to the PA/hamass in exchange for the settlement blocs. Then we will see the joy of the arab communities when their rights are quashed, their women murdered for dishonouring islam, and their education liberties curtailed
15. #13 You mean protest/wave flags of Hamas/Fatah?
David ,   Holon   (03.24.09)
Yeah then they would have NO rights, but if they waved the COUNTRY'S FLAG I.E. ISRAELI FLAG than they would not be "stoned" but be congratulated
16. He looks like a messed up chicken!
(03.24.09)
17. Martin, thank G-d you don't run Israel. You'd ruin it.
Avraham ,   NYC   (03.24.09)
18. No need to through stones
Rami of Nazareth   (03.24.09)
The answer to the provocative march should be a counter joint arab-jewish march.
19. Racist provocation
Don ,   Binyamina   (03.24.09)
This was a clear racist provocation intended to create exactly the response it received and conducted by quasi-fascist racists. Would a similar march be allowed in Tel Aviv by Arab extremists demanding the expulsion of all Jews from the country - equally illegitimate. As in Northern Ireland, parades should be kept well away from contentious areas. This is not democracy in action it is another demonstration of the lack thereof in Israeli society in a city where civilians were shot dead by police marksmen in the recent past.
20. Clarifying questions to get full / true pictures
H.H.M ,   Israel / Jerusalem   (03.24.09)
Clarifying questions to get full / true pictures Concerning the declared “…undercover officers among the crowd who detained 13 rioters…” a few clarifying statements become obligatory owing to the circumstances a) How many “…undercover officers…” the police had involve. b) Were this under cover officers on each side of this events, demonstrators and anti demonstrators group and how many on each side. c) How did these under cover officers effected the detaining of 13 rioters d) Of the 13 detained rioters were of the 2 groups e) Were these under cover officers regular police personnel and are you certain that they did not factually participate in the riots to retain their hidden role? These questions should be asked latest in the court provided indictment were made.
21. Umm El Fahm marc
Joe Charlaff ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.24.09)
This march was highly provocative contrary to what the organizers said. It was like waving a red rag to a bull and inflammatory in the extreme and achieved nothing but violence and more hate. The High Court was shortsighted in granting permission for it to take place
22. To Avraham in NYC:Thank you for staying there
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.24.09)
23. arabs are simply violent people who don't belong in Israel.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (03.24.09)
24. Attempted MASS MURDER: Rocks Maim and Kill
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (03.24.09)
Muslims can walk and live in absolute safety in any Jewish area in Israel and Muslims can walk and live in absolute safety in any non-Muslim area in the world. Muslim areas in Israel, UK, Europe, India and other countries are far too dangerous for non-Muslims to enter, making it a necessity in some European cities for ambulances to be given police protection when entering Muslim areas. This violent Islamic, murderous hate for non-Muslims should result in the U.N. holding emergency sessions to deal with this alarming problem. Instead, freedom and safety destroyers U.N. tyrants continually endeavor to make it a crime to say or write anything critical or negative about Islam.
25. Demand for freedom of speech one way street
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.24.09)
The arabs demand, and receive the right, to march wherever they want, waiving the flag of the enemy hamass, bringing heir flags to public schools paid for by the Jewish State and demand the israeli police protect them and their rights! However, they and their leftist allies from TA, make it very clear that freedom of speech and assembly should be a one way street only: available only to rioting arabs and not to Jews. Imagine the gaul of israelis daring to carry an Israeli flag anywhere in Israel. An outrage that should be soundly condemned by btselem and their allies in gaza
26. March
John williams ,   Ogden   (03.24.09)
You ban a peaceful Palestinian cultural day and allow a march by right wing nut jobs. The world is watching.
27. #24-- Linda, your a joke, after reading all these TB's, it
Ken ,   Burma   (03.24.09)
sounds like no one is safe in Israel. I thought Burma was bad, if what is said here reflects the attitude of Israelis, I see why your in New York. PS, I think I see an Arab following you, be careful, he may blow you a kiss.
28. #25--Arie another lie, read #26 out loud,
Ken ,   Burma   (03.24.09)
maybe that will help. Ps. do Israelis have a problem with the truth?
29. #24 Linda Rivera
Marco ,   Spain   (03.24.09)
"Attempted MASS MURDER: Rocks Maim and Kill". If you have such a strong opinion with regards to Palestinian rock throwing, then what do you say about Israeli bullets? Idiot.
30. Marco
Paul ,   Poland   (04.05.09)
HAMAS claimes Spain as part of their islamic "Palestine" too. For some people 800 years of Arab ocupation is not enough I see. All Israeli Arabs must choose the sides in this war today or change the side of the Jordan they live tomorrow.
