Labor hasn't lost it's values, the country has decided not to follow Labor anymore. We don't believe in your policies. Look at me, I'm a kibbutznik and I wouldn't vote for you or any left wing party. I don't like what your party stands for but even more, I don't like Barak. He is not an honest person.
2. Barak's arrogance is breathtaking
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (03.24.09)
"Barak stressed he has no intention of stepping down: "I will be here in 2018, as old as Ariel Sharon was when he started Kadima; and in 2026, as old as Shimon Peres was when he ran for party chairmanship for the last time.""
3. Well done, Labor, well done.
Jake   (03.24.09)
Labor, unlike Kadima, stepped up to the plate of national responsibility in Israel's hour of need. I am no Laborite, and I might not agree with all its positions. But Labor/Mapai can at least say it led the Yishuv during 30 years under the British Mandate, and Israel during its first 30 years of independence, including all its victories. What can Kadima say it has achieved, other than "standing by its principles"?

The best part is that the UTJ will be left out along with their blackmail.
6. Ehud Barak : "Don't Count Me Out Bibi"
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem - ISRAEL   (03.24.09)
By accepting to join the right-wing coalition government Ehud Barak is simply making a last-minute desperate attempt to revive the dying Labor as much as to lift up his personal morale and esteem and to polish their already-badly-tarnished image. For the first time in history of modern Israel Labor Party, once the pride of Israel, has fallen to a deep abyss. Personally I believe Barak lacks both the capabalities and charisma of the much-sought strong political leader in this exceptionally-rare juncture...!!! Besides, Likud,Beitenu, and Labor can muster no more than 56 seats only, five seats short of being viable with a one-seat majority only... A shaky coalition the new government will most likely be...

8. Well done Ehud
avrom ,   bet shemesh   (03.24.09)
Ehud is a patriot and seeks the best for his country what we need is unity to address the economic and security threats to the country and i say this being a right wing religous maniac KOL HAKAVOD
9. Vote Likud, Get Labor.
Leah ,   Beit Shemesh   (03.24.09)
Don't ever waste your vote on Likud again.
10. I agree #3
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.24.09)
C'mon....Israel needs any government. And who cares about being a fig leaf on the larger tree. A tree is nothing but shade without the fruit that it blossoms. With the branches and fruit, it can finally give back a little more.

On the contrary!!!!!!! If more people would have voted likud instead of the other small partirs, bibi would not be in this mess. Had Likud had 39-40 seats, it would not have needed Labor & could easily have managed w/o labor. but all the pple who wanted bibi but voted habayit hayehudi, national union & yisrael beiteinu in effect voted for labor or even kadima. the right wingers always bring in a left wing gov't. look at the history!!!!
