5. To # 1 Jordan is NOT Palestine
Palestinian   (03.26.09)
Have you forgotten in 1901 when Jews were living in peace in Palestine. Then you know what happened with Balfour from England ...Clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of non Jewish communities in PALESTINE or the right and political status enjoyed by the Jews in any other country. Do not deny that Balfour from England gave life to Israel and nothing is mentioned about Jordan. Comprehensive and just peace with the Palestinians.
6. interesting...
Chonny ,   Colorado, US   (03.26.09)
First, good job to whomever (US or Israel) did this, but isn't the Sudan basically the Biblical Cush (or "Nubia")? Aren't they mentioned in Ezekiel 38? Are they planning something, or is something about to go down?

14. Dear "Palestinian" (no. 5)
Shaul   (03.26.09)
Of course there was no mention of Jordan in the Balfour declaration, you silly goose. That is exactly where lies the point of contention (and the reason for JIP's nom-de-plume): what is now called Jordan comprised 78% of the Palestinian mandate. Notice the full name: Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Do you know who the Hashemites are? They are the royal bloodline of the rulers of Hijaz, in what is now the Saudi Arabia. Shortly after the Balfour Declaration was signed, Britain wiped its a** with it by "gifting" 78% of the Palestinian Mandate to the son of Hussein, the King of Hijaz, for the latter's perceived assistance in the "Arab uprising" (also a very questionable occurrence) against the Ottomans. That is what is now Jordan. You are right in your quotation from the Balfour Declaration. But you know what? As soon as Jordan was created, all Jews were ethnically cleansed from that part of Palestinian Mandate and prohibited from living there ever again. So much for the promise of a Jewish homeland in the Palestinian Mandate. This brings us to today. Note, Arabia is called Saudi. You know why? Because it is ruled entirely by the Saud family, Hashemite's chief nemesis, who took over Hijaz soon after the creation of Jordan. So now this is what we have: 78% of the former Palestinian Mandate is ruled by an Arabian family. No Jews are permitted to live there. Hashemites hold on to this scrap of land for their lives, since they have nowhere to go (with the US guaranteeing Saudi security, there is no possibility for the Hashemites to go home) This IS the Palestinian Arab state (as in "Jordan Is Palestine") Right now the Palestinian Arabs want a second Jew-free state (the so-called "Palestine", as in the misnamed "Two State Solution" (actually a "Three State Solution") That would cut the Jewish Homeland, promised by the Balfour Declaration, to a little more than 12% of the original Mandate. Note also that all of the Mandate areas under Arab control are ethnically cleansed of Jews. At the same time Arabs continue to live in Israel, enjoying full citizenship, with all the rights and privileges that go with it. AND they call Israel "racist apartheid state" Dear "Palestinian", please learn your history and stop your hatred. You might also want to get your brothers to re-evaluate the 78% of Palestine that is called Jordan. This is the state that has virtually no legitimacy in the Middle East.
15. To # 12 The status quo is unsustainable
Palestinian   (03.26.09)
I think u have forgotten how the Palestinians were forced out of their homes and land, some excaped with their lifes because of ...some groups. But Palestinians are here and going no where. Time for comprehensive and just peace for the Palestinians, Jews were living in Palestine or who came from abroad.
16. no. 9 Levi: yes we realize the consequences of these actions
Shaul   (03.26.09)
fewer weapons for Hamas to fire at us. I think we can live with that. Hope you can, too. Great job IAF!!!
17. #9
Airborne ,   Jerusalem   (03.26.09)
So Levi, are we supposed to accept the fact that countries want to murder us, our families and everything that we stand for? According to you, yes. These bombs were meant to kill Israeli's and thank G-d we destroyed them before they got to us. Yes, Israel realizes the consequences of her actions but most importantly her inactions. Levi, you are nothing but an arm-chair-quarterback who has no independent thought process. Your criticism is typical leftist propoganda. Of course it must be nice and comfortable to criticize your fellow Jews all the way from Canada.

ghostq   (03.26.09)
sorry to inform you but according to some (notice the some not all) so call palestinians r arab immigrants from other arab states, Yaser Arafat was born and raised in Iraq, Yismael Hanya was born and raised in syria and the list go on.
19. 14 - thank you. I didn't know
Aussie ,   I was brainwashed   (03.26.09)
I have decided to copy and send your post to many of my mates in my country who have no idea of this history - and just blindly hate Israel and Israelis - because they have had the facts distorted (as did I) by so many arabs here and the press. I have searched and found that what you wrote is, in fact, 100% truth. What a shame the Israelis (govts.) don't highlight what has happened in these 60 odd years as eloquently and 'matter of factually' as you have here . . . .

Thanks a lot for the information. I would ask you to give hints where I can find the sources you used (web-sites, books, etc). Kol hakavod !
21. To #15 I think you also forgot
Memory boost   (03.26.09)
that nearly a million Jews were forced out of Arab countries after an extensive pogrom against them. Those who survived the onslaught lost all their belongings including, houses, cars, business, to thieving arabs and were forced to leave empty handed. So not only did Israel absorb the Jewish refugees, they also let some 2 million arabs become Israeli citizens. Jews have not been compensated for that attrocity because the world is so antisemetic and has been focusing only on all you misfists. If not for Israel, no one would give you lot the time of day (putting it lightly).
22. Release
Gideon Reader   (03.26.09)
I heard it was a Shwarma and Chips shop in Passiac, New Jersey supplying good thoughts to Hamas. Or maybe a "hot pillow" joint in Knightsbridge, run by Albanians and cheap forced labor. No matter. All intend the same thing. Lesson: Those pesky Elders of Zion are still cooking up plans to rule the Planet.
23. There Is A More Efficient Way To Keep Iran Out Of Gaza
David H ,   Marietta USA   (03.26.09)
Hopefully the small January action was just another dress rehearsal for the real thing. And to #5, whom Jordan doesn't want back in, yes, Jordan IS Palestine, it is your real homeland, it always was, hopefully will be again. Deal with it.

Kudos to you for the concise, brilliant and very educational analysis. You said it all, and you said it very well.

Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.26.09)
Wasn't it the late Yasir Arafat (may his name be cursed for all eternity) who said that "comprehensive and just peace" was just a euphemism for the destruction of Israel and extermination of the Jewish people? I'm quite certain it was. Look, you cannot undo sixty years of bad choices. You should have taken the two-state solution in 1947. You shouldn't have started all those wars. You shouldn't have engaged in all that terror. You should have taken the second offer of a two-state solution -- which was the best offer you could ever have hoped to have -- but no, Arafat (ditto on the curse) turned it down. Your "disasters" have ALL been of your own making, and now you want the world to fix things for you. It is not going to happen. How many bites at the apple do you think you should have? Following two rejections of a two-state offer, following six wars, following endless and bloody acts of terror on Jews -- foreign and domestic -- you need to realize that you have exhausted all your turns at bat. The fact that you come away with nothing is your fault, too. Quit blaming Israel for all your problems; they are ALL of your own making.
27. Kol hakavod to Shaul and the brave Aussie mending his ways,.
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (03.26.09)
28. #5 - Palestinian - who ruled in 1901?
William ,   Israel   (03.26.09)
The Turks did and they welcome Jewish immigration into the region, as well as keeping the Jews inside the region safe. Once they were forced out by the Brits, Arabs turned their fury onto the Jews for a lot of reason - none of them because they were threatened. We remember 1901 well. Do you remember 1920, 1929? We do. Do you remember 1930s? A time of massive illegal immigration of Arabs into the region upsetting all population balance. You mention "nothing shall prejudice non-Jewish communities...in Palestine" - yet, Arabs launched attacks and desecrations on Jewish communities numbers of times over. You want peace? Should have grabbed it in 1948 rather than support a genocidal war you lost.
29. #9 - Levi - thanks for joining the world today....
William ,   Israel   (03.26.09)
after what appears to be a long vacation. Sudan was NEVER Israel's friend, and was an inactive enemy since it's current leader came to power. Sudan routinely violates and kills Black African Darfurians in the south then blames it on Israel as "being an instigator trying to blemish the good name of Sudan". Not sure if today's attack would really make things worse - but let's look at the "bomb everything mentality.... Yes - weapons, terrorists, smuggling routes, etc. - all a target of the IDF! Now, to your friendly terrorists - who bomb everything - women, children, schools, their own children, elderly, buses.... It's a crazy world. You might want to hibernate again.
30. #15 - You're right, status quo unsustainable
William ,   Israel   (03.26.09)
As long as Pals feel they have the right to launch attacks and kill civilians, to undermine Israel, and to support "brother" terrorist groups - no peace will come to the village. One day, this status quo will break as your hubris will drive you to do something stupid, and Israel will respond in kind. We all remember Jordan's answer to your past stupidity. But again, many of the Jews who lived in Palestine before 1948 were attacked ruthlessly to make the region Jew-free. Many Jews came to their own homeland as welcome guests of Turks - who are you to deny their decision? Conversely, huge Arab illegal immigrations came, with the Brits watching helplessly, from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. Surely you believe they - uninvited guests - should return home anyway. In addition, Jews who came purchased land in which to live on - the deeds are in J'lem to view. Conversely, many Arabs lived on rented land, claiming ownership after the landlord fled from the Brits. Land ownership under Turks was only 5% private - how do all these Pals suddenly have old homesteads and olive trees they claim ownership to? Your propaganda is well-tested, but the facts prove your present history is really revision.
