colin   (03.27.09)
Memebers of the labour party cannot complain. They themselves voted to have the cowardly barak the leader. They knew what they were getting.
4. unity
zechariah   (03.27.09)
They are all against but would accept a comprimise while the current balance of power exists. Its either predator or prey. The human rights democracies bad as they are are better than the others.
5. A unity government
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.27.09)
Good. Let them "defect." If the interests of the State of Israel are not their interests, they are not needed, or wanted.
6. these fools should be thanking Barak
zionist forever   (03.27.09)
Apart from the two and half years Kadima were running things coalitions were always Likud & Labour all that ever changed was who was heading the coalition. The idealists need to wake and understand Labour is a political party not a left wing idealist movement Be glad your party is in government instad of having a measly 13 seats sitting opposition overshadowed by Livni & her 29. If Barak said the government was doing something wrong it would be Livnis opinion that the reporters were interested in not that little man Barak sitting in a corner while big sister Livni is constantly in fromt of the cameras making grand speeches. If Barak had listened to the idealists the party would have died. When nobody notices a political party people forget about it. Next election even more Labour votes would have gone to Kadima because they all know what they stand for and like it nobody knows what Labour stands for anymore. Eventualy Labour would die and Kadima would become the next official party for the left They should be thanking Barak for joining the traditional coalition partner ( Likud ) instead of leading the party to its death in opposition. These idiots don't understand how
9. To #5: As usual the Americns know best for Israel!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.27.09)
I would suggest you fix up your screw ups first! Obama wants to "reach out to Iran"! Great. They will bite your hands off. Your economy, well it sucks! Yes. America, the Land of Opportunity if you are white, straight, Puritan and, most important, stinking RICH! National Unity Government means fleece the country for what you can for your own interests and the hell with defense, education, welfare and medical care!
10. To: David at No. 9
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.27.09)
I am Israeli, too, David. Spend about an equal amount of time in each country. For the record, I did not vote for Obama. I do not support his policies, and I'm pretty vocal about it. Were it up to me, I would prefer a strong far right coalition in Israel. However, it is what it is. It does not serve Israel's interests for the rest of the world to see a fractious, divided Knesset.
11. Good for them
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (03.27.09)
People of principle. It's nice to see that some still exist. But joining Kadima is not the answer. Forming a new left party is.
12. Hey David from Karmiel
Yaron ,   USA   (03.27.09)
This is a talkback area where ppl from all over the world voice their opinions. Sorrry to say this but you should use guarded words because, for better or worse, the US is Israel's only real friend. If it were not for American Jewry, Israel would be half the country it is....don't forget that when you spew ignorant comments.
13. #12 America is a mess, about to crush, so is Kadima
(03.27.09)
14. #12 Stay in the US and watch in crush and burn, just don't
Israel   (03.27.09)
