Hamas: Netanyahu will get identical prisoner list Islamist group says undeterred by new Israeli government, warns that if current demands presented as part of talks to free captive soldier are denied, future ones may be 'harder to swallow' NO PROBLEM !!!. "We have no interest in dragging this out, but this matter cannot be resolved unless the prisoners we're demanding are released," added the source, saying that Israel's demand to have some of the prisoners deported upon release was unacceptable. YES !. - ALL PRISONERS OF PALESTINIAN ORIGIN IN ISRAEL, CAN AND SHOULD BE RELEASED TO THE GAZA STRIP, WITHOUT THEIR POSSIBILITY TO LEAVE THE STRIP, THIS BY SEALING OF THE BORDERS WITH GAZA COMPLETELY. Never forget one thing. Gilad Shalit IS A SOLDIER and his duty is to defend the people of the State of Israel. Because he is being held hostage does not abrogate his responsibilities as a soldier. Yes, this is a very bitter to swallow but that is a fact of life. Gilad is our child, a son of Israel, but there are millions of other children in this country and we cannot put their lives in danger by releasing these savages who will continue to kill and plan the killing of Israelis. Have you forgotten the carnage of a few years ago? Have you forgotten the scenes in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, the Park Hotel in Netanya on Seder Night 7 years ago? 30 dead and 140 injured! As for terrorists popping up well they seem to be "popping" themselves off because the "expertise" is sitting in an Israeli prison. That's where it is and that's where it must stay! I feel very deeply for the Shalits and I am sure that every parent would do the same for their child but they have also upped the ante by the demonstrations which they held against those trying to help and not against those who are kowtowing to the the Arabs and the terrorists.
11. Israel downgrades the rights of its own captured soldiers.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (03.30.09)
By exchanging prisoners with the terrorist organizations as if they were law-abiding states, Israel can be seen as upgrading the status of the organizations’ unlawful combatants from terrorists and war criminals. Such exchanges afford them the same rights as lawful soldiers, without demanding from their leaders the reciprocal obligations. At the same time, Israel downgrades the rights of its own captured soldiers by overlooking the organizations’ systematic depravation of POW rights for Israeli soldiers under the Geneva Conventions. 12. thats what they ask for but time is against them
zionist forever   (03.30.09)
Olmert has been such a screw up he wants a legacy of some kind by getting Gilad Shalit back and he will probably be gone by the end of the week that means do a deal now. Netanyahu has time on his hands to negotiate. Hopefully Natanyahu will be alot tougher with terroists than Olmert is and say we are not going to be idiots and agree to all those demands. Hamas know that they are the ones on borrowed time same if they expect those demands to be met.
13. The world is supporting Hamas!
Maria ,   MD   (03.31.09)
They're evil. God protect Israel and its people. They might kidnap Jews again in Israel and outside Israel. Is this the world support? Pro-Israel media supporters must get busy defendng Israel.Arabs are very clever when it comes to propaganda.
