35. #23. The post was about
Joe ,   Ohio,USA   (04.02.09)
My post had NOTHING to do with the arab Israeli conflict. I stated a simple fact based on my experences, period! And in response to your second paragraph, I believe that Israel has the right to live in peace that is why I read Ynet not al jazeera . In short I am distressed when I read posts from people who suffer intolerence be intolerant. You present yourself very poorly when you do so.
36. #24 Did you read my post? If so you
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (04.02.09)
need a reading for information class! I defended the Amish people in my post against those who really know little or nothing about them, and I never even mentioned the Hasidic! and as far as your stereotyping comment who did I stereotype? The Amish for being hard working, peaceful and good hearted? Oh, I am guilty of that!
37. About 1/3rd of the Amish farmers farm Tobacco
Fake Jew ,   USA   (04.03.09)
I always had a problem with that. I think it would be a much better business to open an Amish / ultra - orthodox Jew clothing line (made by real Amish women)...they could call the line:"ALL THE RAV".
38. On a serious note.....if you remember the Amish schoolgirl
Fake Jew ,   USA   (04.03.09)
killings a couple years ago, you would be able to see the gentle loving nature that they gave the world, that could only come from G-d (for those of you who believe).
39. Let both goyim merge together!
Rabbi Yaakov Sholom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.03.09)
They speak same german & worship simular persons. Why not intermarry & become Lub-Amish? For Am Yisroel, cutting off this bunch of crooks & idol-worshippers is no loss.
40. Yes! Lub-Amish!....the ultra orthodox in them
Fake Jew ,   USA   (04.03.09)
could wear camel hair clothing, and build geodesic dome caves!
41. Amish
Marilyn ,   USA   (04.04.09)
I guess that the Amish in our area are described as being quite liberal. It's kind of funny. I guess overall they tend to be friendly and good natured and are appreciated for their simplicity.
42. Chabad makes kidush hashem a houshold word
roli ,   miami beach, USA   (04.05.09)
Kol HaKavod. Chabbad is the future of Jewish AND interfaith coexistence. They bring the secular closer to tradition, the orthodox closer to modernity, and they defend our common dignity in Israel more than any other Hassidim. They don't send all of their boys to fight, but you will see them in the IDF from the mess halls to the frontlines, they are brave Jews. They get bad publicity from movements that have not produced a real luminary in generations, and after the Baba Sali Z"L, Rev Shnerson Z"L is still the last great luminary of the Jewish people. The world is full of hidden Jews and Chabadniks keep this in mind when discussing conversion; at all other time the do not sell or feed trayf to Gentiles. Unlike other Chasidim they adhere to the sephardic minhag while maintaining the melodic dissonance that will forever enshrine our history of triumph, defeat, redemption, and free will. In the EU, they have nurtured a rebirth of sorts inside of that new polyethnic entity. Almost all of India rallied to the side of Israel when Bayt Chabad was attacked in Mumbai. If the Rebbe were alive today he would be the king of Israel, that's how much we need wisdom, thank g-d we have our princes.

So, only Jews can have beards? Better an Amish with a brain than a stupid talkbacker like yourself without one.
44. bigots
debbie ,   nola   (04.06.09)
I am flabbergasted by all of you so-called 20th century hatemongers and intolerant bigots.Just because people don't live in your world of "anything goes",they must be idiots? You are peaceloving tolerant liberals? You people are the worst idiots in this respect-no respect for anything different. Are they doing anything to you?Are they hurting you? You cannot stand how they live and breathe? You can always join the Nazi youth-heading in the same direction. Why live in Israel?I can live right here and hear the exact same thing!!
45. Walla!
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (04.06.09)
Just a couple of days ago I was thinking of the Aimish and their similarities to hareidim... I like those people very much!
46. #44 debbie
Lisa   (04.07.09)
thanks debbie, you took the words right out of my mouth- I am stunned at the self-righteous- and stupid TBs here- what gives you people the right to critize another religious group that has never done anything to you? Instead you should feel sympathy for minority groups- they are living by their religion, can't you accept that? They are different- so they must be suspicious?- figures- only small minded people would react that way Go pick on someone your own size!
47. #16 ben in the far east
Lisa   (04.08.09)
i am disappointed in you ben, I always through of you as a kind, intelligent and generous person- NOT! Your prejudice against the Amish and Christians and probably everybody else, is scary-. You believe and you follow your rules- does it say anywhere in your scriptures that you have to be hateful and judgmental towards other people and their believes? I don't think so! Passover is a good time to reflect on this, ben. You think you are the only true believer? Well, let me tell you- other people of other religions feel exactly the same way about their religion- but unlike in the past, today most religions are more generous and liberal- and a good thing for Jews, don't you think?..... fanatics of any religion are dangerous to your health. The Amish are peaceful people- they live according to their believe- , they don't hurt anybody, they do not fight wars, they dress in a conservative way, they speak their own language- funny really- you have more incommon that you realize!. If you want to badmouth your own people- there are plenty of Jews to counter your attacks I am sure. This TB is one of the worst I have read on Ynet- it shows no respect for other people and their religions- coming from a people that have been persecuted for their religion and distinct background I had expected a kinder response to a group that has never hurt anybody. A thank you to the few writers who have protested the vicious attacks, ridicule and contempt of certain TB writers.
48. what are you wearing?
shellac ,   somewhere   (04.16.18)
"It's reinforcing to the Amish community to see us Jews living the way the Bible says Jews are supposed to live, and have lived since the time of Moses and Abraham". What? Our forefathers never wore tuxedos and top-hats and neither did our Chazal. The commandment is to differentiate oneself from the other nations; but this look copies from secular culture - albeit from the past.
