31. Hashem takes back only the holiest neshamot
Adam Eliyahu ,   Bat Ayin   (04.02.09)
I just picked up my children from a gan with five men on the roof with M-16's. If anyone can justify this through political reasoning, or in any terms, that person is very sick. I do not justify Arab deaths. If you had merited knowing this boy, or seeing how warm and loving his family is, you would cry, as I did. I have very strong political beliefs and a strong love for Israel. I will not argue politics or justify Bat AYin. But if a person is able to disconnect his heart from his brain and spout politics after a 13 year old boy is killed playing in front of his house, that person should go off alone and do some serious soul searching.
32. Israel, Israeli you are right
m   (04.02.09)
If something like that would have happend the other way around, a Jew attacking with an axe on purpose 2 children, can you imagine the outcry on YNET? the language? the recriminations? But the oposite we have become ACUSTOMED, so they target killing another child, and another one, and then they hide behind their own children and scream to the world, the Jews kill our children, it's not our fault, we are poor, we have nothing, we are entitled! They take the symbols the west helds dear and distort and deprave them, a people so sick will never be a nation.
33. #29 where is your proff
ghostq   (04.02.09)
no proff? i am shocked, not really, non of the palestinians can prove the land was theirs in the first place.
34. to number 7....
Safia ,   Algeria   (04.02.09)
We r not animals,i feel deeply sorry for those kids and their family..and about the new FM,not sure if,it augures well to your country...
35. Targeting of children is against Islam
Bilal ,   Leeds, UK   (04.02.09)
The man who carried out this attack has left the fold of Islam when he killed this child and attacked the 7 year old. This murderer is no different from the IDF soldiers that massacred the Sammouni family in Gaza. As a Palestinian, I condemn this action in the strongest of terms. But I will say this - you Israelis have brought this onto yourselves when you began to target children, you killed hundreds of children in Gaza and now you are getting a small taste of what it feels like to have your own children killed. May God bless this dead child and all the innocents that have died because of your zionist dream.
36. Remove illegal settlers.
Sol ,   USA   (04.02.09)
Only when israel removes these illegal settlers and settlements will some normality resume.
37. Let's compare
Goliath   (04.02.09)

Esther, your questions are just the same old lame repetitions we get from zionists whenever the subject of the land of palestine is brought up...it only shows how shallow minded you people are...are these questions the only thing you know about our conflict? get a life! and ghostq, what proof are you looking for? are you denying the fact that your state was established by force? are you denying the fact that your so called israeli forces kicked the palestinians out by force in 1948? they where living there for years and honestly, nobody cares if this was the land given to the jews 2000yrs ago, that is old school...if i came to you asking for your house claiming that god gave it to me as mentioned in my bible, you wouldn't be happy would you? just shows how mentally impevorished you guys are! my deepest condolences for the family of the young boy, what ever the nature of the conflict is, we do not endorse these kinds of animalistic attacks. God bless you all. Shalom

40. #29, Answer just ONE question asked by Yashiko Sagamori
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (04.02.09)
A Japanese View of the Palestinians? By Yashiko Sagamori If you are so sure that ' Palestine , the country, goes back through most of recorded history,' I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions about that country of Palestine : 1.? When was it founded and by whom? 2.? What were its borders? 3.? What was its capital? 4.? What were its major cities? 5.? What constituted the basis of its economy? 6.? What was its form of government? 7.? Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat? 8.? Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation? 9.? What was the language of the country of Palestine ? 10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine ? 11. What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese yuan on that date. 12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur? You are lamenting the 'low sinking' of a 'once proud' nation. Please tell me, when exactly was that 'nation' proud and what was it so proud of? And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you mistakenly call 'Palestinians' are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War? I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day 'Palestinians' to the Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here. The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Arab countries have never abandoned the dream of destroying Israel ; they still cherish it today. Having time and again failed to achieve their evil goal with military means, they decided to fight Israel by proxy. For that purpose, they created a terrorist organization, cynically called it 'the Palestinian people' and installed it in Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . How else can you explain the refusal by Jordan and Egypt to unconditionally accept back the 'West Bank' and Gaza , respectively? The fact is, Arabs populating Gaza , Judea, and Samaria have much less claim to nationhood than that Indian tribe that successfully emerged in Connecticut with the purpose of starting a tax-exempt casino: at least that tribe had a constructive goal that motivated them. The so-called 'Palestinians' have only one?motivation: the destruction of Israel , and in?my book that is not sufficient to consider them a nation' -- or anything else except what they really are: a terrorist organization that will one day be dismantled. In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East . Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against Israel and, as the losing side should, pay Israel reparations for the more than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist organization from the land of Israel and accepting Israel 's ancient sovereignty over Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . That will mark the end of the Palestinian people. What are you saying again was its beginning?
41. How many Palestinian children did you kill in Gaza?
James ,   Australi   (04.02.09)
I didn't hear a word from any of you talkbackers when you killed 500 Palestinian children in Gaza. I guess being the chosen people your blood is worth more.
42. #41, James...you poor thing!
DR ,   florida, USA   (04.02.09)
You can't differentiate between targeting children and targeting terrorists who hide behind children? I feel sorry for people like you who are so blinded by emotion and propoganda, that you cannot see straight and have lost the ability to reason. There is and never will be moral equivalance between the two sides. One teaches hatred and intollerance, the other just wants peace and quiet. can you figure out which is which James?
43. #36 - yeah, let's start with you
Alon ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.02.09)
How about it, Sol? Let's get you and your kind off the holy land you and your ilk stole from the true Native Americans. That would restore true sanity.
44. #9 Tesha...are you sick?
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.02.09)
ti justify the murder of a young boy becuase of a disputed "occupation"...what is wrong with people like you??? Palestinians have laways killed Jews regardless of occupation. We left gaza, you burned greenhouses and fired rockets. Don't try to justify the barbaric culture of hatred and death...they are the main problem in this world! fed by an even bigger problem...RADICAL ISLAM!
45. #41 semantics
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.02.09)
Your confusion comes from the different meaning of the same words in the Southern and Northern hemispheres. The Talkbackers here use the word "children" to refer to unarmed minors, for example age 7 or 13. You use the word "children" to refer to men aged 18 to 35 armed with rocket launchers, grenades and assault rifles. Israel did not kill 500 of what you call "children" while they were playing in their backyard, Israel killed about 800 in pitched battles. Sadly, another 400 unarmed people were killed in the fighting, whether by accidental IDF gunfire or gunfire from what you call children. Although this is the lowest number of collateral damage recorded in the history of urban warfare, proof that the IDF is an honorable army, it is still regretable. Too bad the Egyptians did not let the innocents escape.
46. The kid was not in Israeli territory
nero ,   nyc   (04.02.09)
and his family was fully aware of the danger of settling on somebody else's land.
47. Start warming the Caterpillars

49. Who To Blame ?
Mike Van Harris ,   Antwerp Belgium   (04.02.09)
BLAME THE OCUPATION. ITS ONLY YOU TO BLAME. GET OUT OF THE WESTBANK, GAZZA AND JERUSALEM. GIVE THE PALISTINIANS THERE FREEDOM, AND ONLY THEN YOU CAN LIVE IN PEACE
50. #29 Lily, Algeria
Algerian Jew   (04.02.09)

51. Terrorists (karma)
hakim ,   usa   (04.02.09)
The parents of those "children" are the real terrorists...And planned to blow-up a girls school in Jerusalem What comes around goes around
52. to #41
flik ,   jerusalem   (04.02.09)
500 children killed in Gaza? Where do you get your facts from - the BBC? And the few children that were killed were not targeted deliberately and usually caused by terrorists hiding behind them.
53. #46, Nero...so it makes it right?
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.02.09)
Moroms like you who defend and make excuses for terror are the main problem,. Instead of condemning this act and calling it waht iit is...a sick act of murder, you make excuses for it. How can Israel have peace when people like you continue to fan the flames of terror by justfying it?
54. # 46
Reuven ,   Petach Tikvah   (04.02.09)
Let's us, for sake of argument, agree that 'the kid was not in Israeli territory. Does this mean that as a sixteen year-old he deserves to die by being struck down with an ax? I think you are displaying the fact that you are an anti-Semite expressing your view that the life of a Jew has no value against an ax-wielding Palestinian terrorist. I would suggest that you have a re-read of the history of the region and then you will see that most of the Palestinians living in the region have little or no right to claim a connection with the area. Currently the world is full of Islamic terror cells killing and maiming everywhere, even in their own Islamic countries, like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq. It so happens that the history of the region where this latest killing took place is steeped in Jewish history and tradition going back to the Bible, before Islam every existed.

57. #53, #54 When you play with fire you will get hurt.
naro ,   NYC   (04.02.09)
This boys family had no right to settle where they did. The man had the right to defend his territory just as Israel does. If anybody tried to build a settlement in my land in NY state they will get several bullets.
58. WHERE??????
Ilana   (04.02.09)
Where are you vermin who cry out "Israel commits crimes!? In your whiny phony anti -semetic voices!!!!!! Where are you now? Why are you not crying?? When monsters chop kids??
59. #28 Steve
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (04.02.09)
In my opinion,Israel should, yes ,deport "a whole town"because of a single person and then, right away explain to Midia worlwide its WHYS. Arbs must undertand that ,AT LEAST in Israel, it is not worth doing what they do because punishment will come right away affecting them, their families, their pocket and their collectivity. What is certain is that doing nothing and appeasing them instead has not worked at all. That is clear.
