The Talkbackers here use the word "children" to refer to unarmed minors, for example age 7 or 13. You use the word "children" to refer to men aged 18 to 35 armed with rocket launchers, grenades and assault rifles. Israel did not kill 500 of what you call "children" while they were playing in their backyard, Israel killed about 800 in pitched battles. Sadly, another 400 unarmed people were killed in the fighting, whether by accidental IDF gunfire or gunfire from what you call children. Although this is the lowest number of collateral damage recorded in the history of urban warfare, proof that the IDF is an honorable army, it is still regretable.
