1. Don't Worry Israel
Goliath   (04.02.09)
Continuous arms smuggling by Palestinian mujahidins does not compare to US continuous delivery of huge dollars and the most modern military equipment to Israel. Both militarily and economically, Israel is "the Goliath" of the Middle East.
2. hamas
fish   (04.02.09)
"the arms that reach the pure hands of the resistance fighters who fight the Zionist occupation are not smuggled weapons, but a human necessity… as part of the struggle for the nation's dignity." This sounds so similar to commuinst statements, like - Communist revolution opened a new era in human history, and created a new reality , a new man, and new relations between people. OMG... weapons - human necessity? To kill Jews and rival FATAHs? I though that Pal-s don't have enough food and that was human necessity?
3. respect they want respect ROTFL

5. Mr. Abu Ubeida... TRY TO COME TO CANADA FOR A VISIT
Simha ,   Toronto, CANADA   (04.02.09)
COMO TO CANADA WITH OPEN EYES SIR !. YOU WILL LEARN A LOT ABOUT HUMAN NECESSITY FOR NOW TELL ME: WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING ABOUT !!!
6. Hamas, want to take over the Middle East.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.02.09)
The essential point about the Gaza conflict is not proportionality, or rockets hitting Gedera, or a humanitarian crisis in Khan Yunis, or civilian casualties. There is only one real issue: a racist, genocidal group of religious fanatics want to take over the Middle East and must be stopped at all costs. This plain fact is not well understood it seems. Hosni Mubarak, President of Egypt, is not known for his sympathies to the Zionist cause. It was necessary for Mubarak to explain to EU leaders, intent on imposing a truce in Gaza, that Hamas must not be allowed to win in Gaza.. Today Gaza. Tomorrow the whole Middle East. Perhaps one day, the EU will understand what Mr. Mubarak understands. More about the Arab world today and Israel at : http://xrl.us/beef6b
7. Oh yes you will
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (04.02.09)
.... stop the arms smuggling. It may not be a voluntary act, but you will stop. Nice to know that Israel can stop you cold. Of course you realize that you will all be dead and Gaza reduced to a pile of rubble, but you will be stopped. Love that false bravado. Hasn't anyone told you that you are all nothing more than terrorist scum? And that while you may be entertained as "diplomats" and "officials" in such places as Tehran or Damascus or Khartoum, in the countries that matter, you couldn't get a visa. Most countries that matter don't allow in criminals. Just remember -- you're just a couple of squadrons away from total annihilation. You may wish to rethink your position.
8. yes, free palestine!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (04.02.09)
now that israel has completely withdrawn from gaza, who is hamas fighting? the sham that was the "resistance" is now clearly just an islamist movement to kill the jews. yes, free palestine - from the terrorist occupation of hamas and fatah! (two sides of the same coin.)
9. #8 Gaza is but a province of Occupied Palestine
Nour ,   Palestine   (04.02.09)
It's quite astonishing and pathetic, your nonsensical assessment that since Israel pulled out unilaterally from a small bit of the occupied territories, Palestinians in the Gaza strip ought to stop the resistance and build their Singapore. First, the pull-out didn't mean ending the occupation. Israel's apartheid regime continued to control airspace, sea and land crossings. It's a huge prison, don't agree with me? Doesn't matter this is how the whole world views this open-air prison. You talk as if Gaza is a seperate country, a seperate people, dettached from historical Palestine and the PA occupied territories. You're mistaken, what happens in Jenin or Jericho is the affairs of Palestine's elected Government, which has been besieged and attacked in Gaza. For once, look in the mirror and see the propagandizing robots you have become. Palestine remains occupied, and the settlements continue to swallow what remains of our lands. For this, armed resistance is legitimate and even encouraged. All of this can change, of course, should Israel accord Palestinians their political rights in full. That can be achieved through granting them Israeli citizenship, or vacating the lands occupied in 1967 paving way to the viable contiguous Palestinian state. You can't have it both ways dude. It just hasn't worked, and never will.
10. Hamas is Gazas worst enemy
Psalms 83 ,   Selah   (04.02.09)
Hamas could CARE LESS about getting FOOD AND REAL LIFE necessities for the People Of Gaza.....Stop the smuggling stop the qassams ....there will be a very good possibility the boarder crossings will open up...but because Hamas has Weapons and qassam launches as its priority ...food is only going to trickle in.
11. #9 Nour Palistine
Psalms83 ,   Selah   (04.02.09)
80 % of that isolation could easily be lifted if Hamas would seek a True peace with Israel not just a HUDNA type peace stop launching qassams and using suicide bombers ect.... if that were truly to take place you might might find me a little more sympathetic....but you and I both know Hamas has no interest in that...the only goal they are interested in is the removal of israel...its writtin in thier charter...
12. "palestine"
tom ,   toronto, canada   (04.03.09)
prior to 1964, no self-respecting referred to themself as "palestinian", because that was a term that was used, since roman times for jews. the arab refugees from palestine have been prevented, by force, from resettling in the surrounding arab countries, for political reasons, so that they could be used as cannon fodder in the war against israel (the true "palestine"). no other group of refugees in the history of the world has been kept in squalid refugee camps for 60 years, but this was the work of the arab countries, not israel. the "occupation" was the best thing to ever happen to the arab refugees from palestine: 20 years of peace and prosperity, with employment and social benefits which they never enjoyed before or since, while under arab rule. nowadays 90% of the arabs in the occupied territories live under arab rule, and not "israeli occupation", in a land run by terrorist organizations who are committed to violence and refuse to recognize, let alone live in peace with, their israeli neighbours. if gaza is a prison, it is a very strange one, where the inmates are given thousands of rifles, and can manufacture hundreds of rockets. one where the inmates shut off their own electricity and blame israel for the darkness. and it is a prison of hamas' making, because every time the border crossings are opened, they are attacked. apparently hamas *wants* the borders closed, because it makes for good propaganda. it is only since israel, under international pressure, allowed the return of the palestinian terrorist groups led by yasser arafat that the arabs in gaza and the west bank have suffered from poverty and violence. it is the intifada, not the 1967 war, that marked the beginning of hard times for the territories. israel should never have agreed to turn the occupied territories into safe havens "of the terrorists, by the terrorists, and for the terrorists". so help the people of the territories, and end the (plo) occupation now!
13. To: Nour at No. 9
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (04.03.09)
There is no "occupation." You people were slam-dunked in six wars. The two in which you lost territory are under recognized international statute perfectly legal acquisitions of territory by Israel because Israel fought defensive wars. Go read the Hague Second and Third Conventions .... dude .... before you run away with your rhetorical arguments. All that time wasted writing your post when your initial premise is false to begin with. Arabs are past master at what Josef Goebbels (may his name be cursed through all eternity) called the "big lie." Which is simply this: The more outrageous and unsupportable the claim, the more often you repeat it, the more true it becomes. Arabs suffer from the worst possible affliction: the have come to believe their own lies. They apply a particular spin and interpretation upon history that has no bearing in fact, but they think that is how things SHOULD have been, so therefore that is how they ARE. But that doesn't make them true. Palestinians -- and you, judging from the nonsensical content of your post -- are victims of your own rhetoric and stupidity. Israel had little to do with it -- except they defeated you all rather soundly in all the wars that YOU started. Sorry, dear. No more bites at the apple. If you want a Palestinian state, take the matter up with Jordan. You can't have the Jewish one. Once you get this through your skull, you might even actually learn how to draw an accurate map of the region -- one that includes Israel, you know?
14. #3 Big Lie? How about Herzl's?
Nour ,   Palestine   (04.03.09)
You done Sarah from NYC? How about this for The Queen of Lies pageant? It goes something like this: "A Land Without a People for a People Without a Land" - Herzl. What a retarded statement. Too bad that nobody among the Jewish population in New York or Krakov took the initiative to check this before they put you all on Jaffa-bound ships. Now the Jews who live in the Middle East must accept the consequences of building on a 100 year old lie - that keeps going - and going - ang going ... Until it will explode in your face very soon.
15. To: Nour
Saray ,   New York City, USA   (04.03.09)
Well, since Arabs are your quintessential nomads, it was a land without a people. Your people kept destroying, destroying, using up all the natural resources and then KEPT MOVING. Was "Palestine" ever a country? Of course not. Moreover, you have a small problem here: how do you account for the fact that between 1948 and 1967 you were quite content to live under Jordanian rule or Egyptian rule. Israel did not become attractive until the Jews came and reclaimed it from desolate desert and putrid swamp. So ---- hush. You have NO legitimate claim. It's Jewish land, it always has been, and you are strangers who NEED TO LEAVE. You don't behave properly and you are therefore NOT WANTED. Have you noticed that NO ONE wants you? Kicked out of Jordan. Kicked out of Lebanon (but not before creating enormous problems). Kicked out of Tunisia. You people are hated everywhere. For good reason, I might add. And then -- here comes the icing on the cake -- when (for the SECOND time) offered a generous two-state solution, Arafat (may his name be cursed through all eternity) walked away. You people -- with no basis in fact for the claim -- want the whole ball of wax. Israel created a productive land, a fertile land, a beautiful land ... and you think we are going to let you just take it? Oh, dream on, you poor, pathetic, delusional idiot. Like I said -- take matters up with Jordan. Jordan is hardly legitimate (carved out of Palestine so that Farouk of Iraq's baby brother Abdullah could be a king, too) -- historically and traditionally Jordan is squatting on Jewish land -- but we will cross that bridge at a later date. You sicken me -- six wars, sixty years of terror -- and you think Israel OWES you something? What on earth is wrong with you?
16. TO # 7 Sarah
MIKE VAN HARRIS ,   ANTWERP BELGIUM   (04.03.09)
JEWISH IS A RELIGION AND NOT A COUNTRY. PALISTINE IS A COUNTRY. SARAH THE LAND YOU CALL ISRAEL IS PALISTINIAN LAND, YOU CANT FOOL US.
17. Sorry, folks
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (04.03.09)
The penultimate paragraph in my post number 15 should read "Feisal" and not "Farouk." I do apologize. I guess to tend to get my Arab petty dictators and pretenders confused. Apologies to all for the inaccuracy. The rest of my post stands.
18. To: No. 16
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (04.03.09)
The two historical Jewish nations in the region known as Palestine were called "Judah" and "Israel." They were unified under King David. And where precisely do you think the word "Jew" comes from? Judah. And Israel has a dual identity -- Israel the nation and Israel the people. If you are familiar at all with the Bible (which I tend to doubt), you will remember G-d telling Jacob -- "Because thou has conquered adversity, Jacob, thy name is Israel." And Jacob/Israel is the father of the twelve tribes. So there is Israel the nation and Israel, the Jewish people. Sod off, you ignorant fool.
19. Sarah - with all due respect
tulag ,   yakima   (04.03.09)
insults generaly poisons the well you are trying to support and nurture...Granted there are some less than knowledgable folks on these talkbacks.... Israel needs those folks to be armed with valid facts not being steamed because they were insulted by a very well meaning person..... you are very knowledgable on the foundations of israel and have a lot to contribute to these folks understanding...which will hopefully someday turn to support for israel
