first, this was an attack by an israeli teenager, from a bedouin village in israel. it is probably NOT in israel's interests to characterize this attack as "nationalistic", at least not without hard proof. and why would a 16-year-old girl attack armed border guards with a pistol? clearly, the guards are better equipped and trained and they outnumber her. at most, she could only hope to kill someone before being killed herself - not the usual thinking of a 16-year-old. the most likely explanations for such suicidal behaviour are either mental illness (and arab hate propaganda is a form of mental illness), or possibly some new fashion in the terrible custom of "honour killing" (arguably another form of mental illness). once her family is questioned, the truth should come out, eventually.
