1. HAD GOAT YEAH (HOW MANY ZUZIMS?)
Roland Seener ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (04.08.09)
2. I see Federman is violating Judaism now to make headlines.
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (04.08.09)
We don't have the Temple anymore, Noam, so sacrificing the Paschal Lamb not in the Temple would actually be against Judaism. This is why we have a *reminder* for this sacrifice as part of the Seder. No different from Neturei-Karta, I see - all is fair in fanatical politics, be it desecrating the Shabbat or this.
3. Longing for the days when religious didn't mean...
Pioneer   (04.08.09)
American thug. Honestly, the movement of settler religious 'orange' has done Israel a tremendous disfavor--and a horrid disfavor to religious as a place to consider spiritually.
4. Oh, ick
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (04.08.09)
5. Is this Israel or Ishmael? Shame on the police for harrasing
Antonio ,   Haifa   (04.08.09)
I'm not even religious, but this is outrageous.
6. Federman
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah   (04.08.09)
B"H Why don't you call him "Extremely Righteous Jew". The saver of his whole nation, he does what he can for the children of Israel today. We should be all queuing under the Temple mount to do the same gesture, offering the Pesach sacrifice
7. NUT CASE... TOTALLY!
stude ham   (04.08.09)
8. Saudi peace plan should include temple rebuild
Bill Staar ,   Chicago USA   (04.08.09)
Would Israel accept the Saudi peace plan if it included the rebuilding of the temple? I think so, Israel will not be complete until the temple is rebuilt. We are all aware of the emotions behind such and endeavo,r any action on Israel's part to do this, would cause riots throughout the Arab world, so the Saudi's need to talk to whoever they need to talk to, to get this rebuild in their plan to the point where they fund and initiate the construction as a gift from the Musilim world to the Israeli's as a peace offering to seal the deal.
9. Why was he offering his children for sacrifice? Does
LarryT ,   K.Sava   (04.08.09)
He thing he is Jacob? And what did he want to do with the goat? Poor kid.

only on few scattered opportunities, O can read this newspaper and every single one, I can read you comments... if you are sooooo righteous and so on and so forth.,... start by doing something more useful for Israel rather than posting nonsense all the time.. and you you said "WE", who the hell you are to tell ME or the rest of the Israelis what to do with their lives... typical "righteous guy", telling others to do, of course, if you have nothing to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy long-lasting holidays for you Ariel.....
12. Hashem blesses the righteous Noam Federman. He loves Jews
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.08.09)
the land of Israel, unlike the secular who want to give up their birthright for a fake peace. I'm also sure the goat is thankful he got to live through Passover. Chag Semayach.
13. to #4
(04.08.09)
actually as long as we have the temple mount you must make a passover sacrifice. see Rambam don't say others don't know when you don't know. you are the only one against judaism
14. #2 Roman
David ,   USA, exile   (04.08.09)
Don't you think he knew that he would not be successful in actually doing the sacrifice? Don't you think that he knew that he could not do the sacrifice without a proper Altar? He was successful in drawing the attention of the world to the fact that the Jewish people are still prevented to worship on the Temple Mount. Islamofanatics may worship and Christians are granted access but Jews are forbidden to worship in their own Holy City Temple Mount. What he did was a righteous act. What the police did was also a righteous act because he probably would have gotten himself killed. However, that is his right.
15. Federman is not religious, just a fascist provocateur
David ,   Los Angeles   (04.08.09)
According to every serious Torah authority (ie Rabbis who rule based on Torah not on membership of an extremist right-wing political party) Jews are not even allowed to ascend the Temple Mount, let alone sacrifice a goat there. Federman is just a liar, a criminal, a coward who threatens women. He is not religious, don't be fooled.
16. "Ariel Ben Yochanan" What a joke!
David ,   Los Angeles   (04.08.09)
So Andras Bereny finally got around to changing his name (although not his email address he includes in all his posts). But how come he had to pick such a ridiculous fake-grandiose name? Who does he think he is, Bar Kochba?
17. Bunnie Meyer bravely sacrifices Israeli lives from Californi
David ,   Los Angeles   (04.08.09)
Since you're so keen to have others take risks for the Land of Israel, why don't you sell up your phone business in Santa Monica and get on a plane and go live in Israel? Or are you just too busy telling others what to do? How dare you insult secular Israelis that they want to give up the Land of Israel from your comfort in California!!
18. To #2: not so clear
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (04.08.09)
There is great discussion in the Halacha whether the Kurban Pesach can only be brought with a bet hamikdash around or not. I seem to recall that Rabbi Akiva Egger and the Chatam Sofer seem to hold that you can sacrifice today the kurban pesach.
19. # 9 Larry, new to English are you?
petra ,   uSA   (04.08.09)
"He thing he is Jacob"?"And what did he want to do with the goat?" neither funny or accurate. "Better to remmain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." Stay silent, Pal
20. # 11 chill out dude.
petra ,   uSA   (04.08.09)
rant long enough and someone will call the mental health specialist. If you were alive in Moses time, you'd be dead.
21. Dear David #17 G-d gave Israel to the Jews, all the Jews but
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.09.09)
that doesn't mean the cheeseburger eating, Shabbos driving secular Jews have a right to give the land away to terrorists. And the day will come, B"H, that I will leave California and make aliyah. My plans have been delayed buy not eliminated. I hope you enjoy your cheeseburger tonight, I will be eating matzoh at seder.
22. Wait until they sacrifice a pure red heifer

23. Israel pocesses the land but not the....
tulag ,   hales   (04.09.09)

24. come on friends!
jj   (04.09.09)
the guy was hungry.jerusalem is a pretty hilly city for a guy of his berth. he just took along a snack for the way.whats the big deal?
25. #12 bunny, not all secular are leftists!
freejay ,   Israel   (04.09.09)
I take great offence to your absurd comment regarding the secular. Let me remind you that some religious want the land given away too. You obviously deny that fact. I am a secular, yet i dont want to give my land away to create a bogus Palestinian state. I also respect the religious and honestly believe Hashem also blesses secular people that show this respect and posses good unselfish intentions. You dont have to be religious to be righteous.
26. #12 Bunnie Meyer
Michael ,   Haifa   (04.09.09)
don't be overenthusiatic...next year the lunatic Federman may decide to sacrifice a bunnie instead of a goat
27. A question
Perplexed ,   London   (04.09.09)
How did the police do it? I mean, tell the difference between Federman and the goat? Le-havdil...
28. Sacrifice on Temple Mount
Dave Shaw ,   Eilat   (04.09.09)

29. #25 my thoughts exactly
rina, israel   (04.09.09)
30. A GOAT??
mark ,   canada   (04.09.09)
I know what this guy is trying to do, and maybe why. HOWEVER: The age of sacrificing goats, pigs, humans, and or bulls, is a bit more recent than the practices of the neanderthals--but barely. That practice was originally asked for by God. That was his Law. However, about 2000 years ago, He asked that the practice stop. Christ gave his life as a sacrifice, for all of us. God asked us to honor His son, and Him in a new way. The animal rights groups and clean air advocates probably don't who God is, but they make lots of noise, and not particularly pleasing to God or man!
