1. if only he'd push the palestinians half as hard
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (04.16.09)
we all know they're lazy, but the palestinians are, and have been, the primary obstacles in the peace equation (they want LAND, not PEACE). maybe they could actually DO something they agreed to. or maybe they could do something that could qualify as being sort of not hateful or violent. no, it's easier, safer, and more productive to press israel than their stubborn counterparts.
2. Don't Give a Damn What BHO Expects...
Bluto ,   Cincinnati, U.S.A.   (04.16.09)
.....and neither should Israel!

4. Steady stream of Roman Catholics bring "security" advice?
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (04.16.09)
And next month you Israelis get to host the Dope of Rome himself. It is almost like the Roman Empire is repeating itself. Could that be?
5. will not sit idly by "waiting for rockets to hit Tel Aviv"
freejay ,   Israel   (04.16.09)
But what about the rest of the country Peres?! And i thought the title of President is for ceremonial purposes! Peres created alot of this mess...he should shut up.
6. to #4, Mitchel&Obama problems
Gerry ,   Boston   (04.16.09)
Both Miltchel and Obama considered Apostates since they are Muslims according to Islam who "converted ?" And Harvard University's Muslim chaplain, Taha Abdul-Basser, wrote a student last week that there is ìgreat wisdom" for capital punishment for apostates "even if it makes some uncomfortable in the face of the hegemonic modern human rights discourse," the university newspaper Harvard Crimson reported.
7. good for leiberman!
oded   (04.16.09)
it's about time that israel tells obam,' you ain't my mama"! and for the 2- state solution? it's as insane , irrisponsible and suicidal, as walking into gaza on a saturday morning!
8. Peres: The US shouldn`t worry....
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (04.16.09)
...we won`t attack Iran`s nuclear installations. We will patiently wait to be annihilated by Iranian nuclear bombs.
9. Israel owes her obligations to her citizens first
cas reader   (04.16.09)
Lieberman is correct when he said that the traditional approach to the peace process has not worked. The US administration keeps saying that it is commited to Israel's security but is not able to even prevent low-grade rockets from hitting Israeli cities. US should give the Palestinians an ultimatum. No more terrorist actions or rocket firing or there will not be a Palestinian State. It's time that Israel acts on her security interests first before trying to be a complaisant friend to the US.
10. peace and olmert damage
marcel   (04.16.09)
Olmert severly damaged israel by offering so much for nothing., He repated 2 states and concessions and reduced israel's leverage to almost zero with the US. Now it will be a fight with the US over israel's existence which it is no longer committed to . Olmert, the father of 2 coward sons who ran away from israel, with a wife who enjoyed vacatioins allegedly ripped off from holocaust charities, the rest of this family who interfere with the idf and slam it at every turn, olmert has to go to jail or there is no god!
11. Mitchell and Obama are delusional
petra ,   uSA   (04.16.09)
it's a repeat of englands bid for "peace within our time." We all know how that worked out. As Will rogers said many years ago, " America has the best politicians money can buy." Sponsored by Saudi Arabia, film at 11.
12. Mitch talks like nothing bad has happened since Annapolis
Alan ,   SA   (04.16.09)
13. Peres provides the PLO position, who speaks for Israel?
Merlin ,   boston,usa   (04.16.09)
14. Mitchell needs another face lift, He is wearing out first

15. Settlements in Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the whole of ...
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.16.09)
Settlements in Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the whole of Jerusalem are legal. The “Mandate for Palestine” granted Jews the IRREVOCABLE right to settle anywhere in Palestine, the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, a right unaltered in international law and valid to this day. Settlements in Judea, Samaria (i.e., the West Bank), Gaza and the whole of Jerusalem are legal. The international community and the arabs should respect the original legitimity as described at : http://xrl.us/bjch4
