31. Obama/Clinton lost before they started
dmgold ,   Pardes Channa Israel   (04.24.09)
Clinton /Obama as a result of the blinding effects of their Political Correctness and multi culturism are unable to see the wood for the trees. What is happening is a MUSLIM Global Jihad you can call something for what it is or simply just fool yourself. MUSLIM JIHAD MUSLIM JIHAD ( am I an "Islamaphobe" for stating the truth) The 'scared of Iran Arabs' are not supporters of Israel (Clinton really is thick as two short planks), they are just fearful that their defensive US umbrella has been abrubtly shut on them b y Obama/Clinton.
32. For the Arab countries, in fact, the Palestinian probleme...
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.24.09)
For the Arab countries, in fact, the Palestinian probleme has no importance! Most Europeans and Americans are not keenly aware that Iran is on track to having the ability to threaten Kuwait City, Riyadh, Dubai, Istanbul, Athens, Rome, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles with nuclear weapons. They are oblivious to the ultimate aim of the Iranian nuclear weapons program: to transform Iran into the dominant global superpower by enabling its regime to attain hegemonic control of the petroleum production of all of the Gulf region’s oil states, while preventing the West from taking military action against Iran by deploying missiles that can obliterate Western cities. As to the "Palestinians", the Arab countries simply couldn't care less. More about a nuclear Iran (3 parts) at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/11/can-nuclear-iran-be-contained-or_2816.html
33. Thank you Hillary
Rabbi Maurice Harris ,   Eugene, OR   (04.24.09)
You're 100% right and many, many Jews, Israelis and lovers of Israel stand with you. Don't be discouraged by the venom and nastiness of the far right in Israel or the US.
34. AGREE WITH #13 BROD....LINKAGE IS A FLAWED CASE !
AVRUM ,   CANADA   (04.24.09)
HILLARY SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED HER TUNE.... ... I BELIEVE THAT SHE DOES HAS ACCESS TO TO MANY DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEWS IF SHE WANTED TO BECAUSE OF HER POSITION. THERE REALLY IS NO RELATION OR BASIS FOR LINKAGE REGARDING PERCEIVED ARAB SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL AGAINST IRAN AND THE PAL PEACE PROCESS ETC. SHE IS FOLLOWING A FLAWED U.S. -- EURO TYPE POLICY, NOT THE OBJECTIVES SHE ESPOUSED WHEN RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. THE ARAB COUNTRIES ACT FOR THEIR OWN INTERESTS AND OUT OF THEIR FEARS OF IRAN. THERE IS NO REALISTIC RISK OF LOSS OF WHATEVER REAL OR IMAGINED "ARAB SUPPORT" THERE EXISTS AGAINST IRAN, BUT TO THE CONTRARY..... THE ARAB COUNTRIES IRONICALLY ARE MORE AND MORE DEPENDING ON ISRAEL IN THIS IRAN MATTER. THE ARAB COUNTRIES CAN USE THE ISRAEL CARD AND HIDE BEHIND ISRAEL'S POWER TO PRESENT AN IMAGE OF A STRONG FRONT TO IRAN AND FEEL MORE SECURE AGAINST IRAN. THE ARAB COUNTRIES ACT OUT OF THEIR OWN FEAR OF IRAN AND NOT FOR ISRAEL'S SAKE WHEN CONFRONTING THE IRAN CHALLENGE. HANGING ON TO THE ISRAELI UMBRELLA FOR COVER IS VERY CONVENIENT FOR THE ARABS AT THE PRESENT TIME, AND THE THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE.
35. #33 SHOWS THAT EVEN A RABBI CAN BE WRONG !
AVRUM ,   CANADA   (04.24.09)
Rabbi Maurice Harris MAY BE GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES, THAT IS BEING A RELIGIOUS MENTOR TO HIS CONGREGATION. AS TO POLITICS FOR RABBIS, THEY ARE LIKE ANYONE ELSE. THEY CAN ALSO BE MISLED JUST AS EASILLY IN FORMING THEIR VIEWS. I HAVE HAD EXPERIENCES WITH RABBIS WHO HELD VERY OPPOSITE POSITIONS TO ME. HOWEVER AS TIME AND EVENTS UNFOLDED, IT WAS THEM, SAD TO SAY, WHO WERE PROVEN WRONG. RABBI, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, DON'T HANG ON TOO TIGHT TO HILLARY'S SKIRTS, AS YOU MAY BE VERY DISAPPOINTED. AS TO the rabbis' commment regarding the " the venom and nastiness of the far right in Israel or the US."......... MANY IF NOT A MAJORITY OF ISRAELIS AND AMERICANS ARE INCREASINGLY DISTANCING THEMSELEVES FROM THE (YOUR)LEFTIST POINT OF VIEW. DO NOT LABEL PEOPLE AS VENOMOUS OR FAR RIGHT JUST BECAUSE YOU DO NOT PERSONALLY AGREE WITH THEM.
36. US bankrupt foreign policy
Ilan ,   Ariel   (04.24.09)
As if the US and the EU are willing to take any real measures to stop Iran from going nuclear? Or for that matter that the Arab countries equate Iran and the palestinian issue? Rather they are jockeying for bargaining positions and are trying to get something for nothing. The Arabs are telling the US that Israel is their price and the US doesn't care that this is all a sham because it gives Hilliary something to talk about. In the end the US will do nothing about Iran because the US has no clue how to get the EU and Russia from stop supplying Iran the means to achieve nuclear weapons.
37. #2: What you contribute to this world is nothing
Vardina   (04.24.09)
more than trouble, murder and terrorism. Your so called "backing" of so called "palestinians" is solely motivated by Arab states' reluctance to accept them as their citizens. Be frank and admit that you could not care less about them. but don's want them among your people. So you want to coerce Israel to solve your problems just as Egypt did by refusing to take Gaza back. To Egypt - similarly to the rest of the Arab states - so called Palestinians mean nothing better than a pain in the ass.
38. #9: crap

39. #12: Yes, it is probably Iranian democracy and
Vardina   (04.24.09)
enlighted liberalism that had caused Its Jewish citizens to leave their belongings behind and run for their lives to Israel and other countries.
40. #15: To be more accurate: "for Clintons peace of

mind".
41. #17, Anette: A wonderful comment. Thank you.

42. NR 33 Rabbi Maurice Harris
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (04.24.09)
A Typical reply of some tree hugging Rabbi, who is only interested in his own galuth lifestyle and gelt, pretending that he is an American and not a stranger there. The fact that this so-called Rabbi lives there is against a Mitzvah dereitah, but I am sure that he has no knowledge of that. This sell out by Jews who worship Liberalism in stead of Judaism, is today’s Capo mentality. So you can brown nose as much as you want, it will turn against you and then you will be knocking on the doors of your ill perceive "far right" for shelter. The similarities between the Jews of 1936 Germany and the Jews in the USA are indeed frightening and will lead to a disaster. This Rabbi is one of a long line of assimilated Rabbi’s who will be an appeasing weakling. Your job is to teach your fellow Jews to leave and live in their own land. So as long as you hug trees in Oregon, mind your own business. Meanwhile we will hold down the fort so you can sprout your arrogant opinions of something you do not know much about and have the security of a place to run to when benei Eisav will come after you again!
43. Actually we(Israel) don't need to worry about Iran at all
Yosi M. ,   GiloJerusalem Israel   (04.24.09)
First, we are developing a defensive rocket shield that should take care of these threats. So that even if Iran does attack or tries to use the threat as blackmail, it won't work. Secondly, the other half of the coin is that we have an even stronger defense net that is much more advanced then all the technology, the Magen Hashem that is 100% failure proof. I G-d is with us, who is against us? With this 2 prong defense, we can't lose and Billary and Hussain O'bama can threaten and pressure all they want. My opinion, mark my words, is that if Iran gets Nuclear bombs, they will probably end up using it on their enemies like Egypt or Saudi Arabia.
44. Bring on the sanctions, Hillary
Cynthia ,   USA   (04.24.09)
There's a perfect window of opportunity just before the June elections in Iran. Go for it. You have my full support. Dialogue with Iran is a waste of time. Khamenei has no intention of talking to the infidel US. And asking Israel to make peace with the Palestinians while Iran smuggles weapons into Gaza for state sponsored terror is an effort in futility. The Palestinians will need to wait.
45. USA+EU want Netanyahu to be more leftist than the leftists
Sam ,   Canada   (04.24.09)
The Palestinians couldn't reach agreement with leftists Barak or Olmert. They want more. If anything, rightist Netanyahu is offering less on territory and refugees. That is why he is ready to talk about the economy. He has something to say there. Would the USA, EU and Arabs prefer that Netanyahu go to negotiations and just sit there?
46. AKA as blackmail
daniel   (04.24.09)
47. clinton's claims
julia shvekky ,   barkai israel   (04.24.09)
Does she honestly think that we are the ones upsetting the milk cart? Maybe the pressure should be on the anti israel goverments and movements to start condemning the arabs who dont want us to live here in peace then there might just be progress in the direction she wants!
48. This is naive, at best, dissembling more likely. As the Sun
David Turner ,   Richmond, USA   (04.24.09)
Sunni Arab states confront Iran they recognize that since Bush US commitment has fallen. Obama has already been confronted by the Saudis over his developing policy of appeasement towards the Iranian nuclear threat. For example, and this is Debka, *Saudi King Abdullah took the US president sternly to task over his emerging policy on Iran, Syria and Iraq, accusing him of giving the Islamic Republic free rein for its nuclear, expansionist and terrorism-sponsoring Middle East policies.* And Egypt*s Mubarak will coordinate strategy with Netanyahu re Iran before the leaders travel to the US for talks with Obama. Thanks to US policy, Israel and the Arab states have never been closer! And just for the information of new administration, from where do you glean the evidence that *the Arabs* gave support for Israel to lose? Maybe a few small Gulf emirates and, maybe one state of the Maghreb. FYI, the Arab states surrounding Israel are looking to the only state willing to take on the Persians and militarily destroy Irans nuclear program. Bush bowed out before leaving office, and Obama seems committed to protecting Iran from Israel in order to secure a supply base for the newly emerging war in Afghanistan. Now I ask you, is it good strategy to protect the Iranian threat to ME oil, possibly cause a world-wide depression, in order to fight the win the unwinable war in Afghanistan? I think not. But then I*m not SecState or SecDef. And finally, since it was Bush who created the Iranian threat by removing the Persians only real Arab threat, Iraq, and since the US is the defense shield of Arab oil threatened by the Islamic Republic, how can US policy today be that it is Israel*s responsibility to confront the threat to the Arabs, as if a single Arab state has yet to move from quietly encouraging Israel to attack Iran, to even suggest alliance with the state of the Jews in confronting the common enemy. Iran is an American problem, and protecting Arab oil is a US strategic responsibility. In the end the US has to return to its senses and bomb Iran. Better for the region, Arabs and Israel should free themselves from US dependence, unite to confront Iran alone!
49. 2-state solution?
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (04.24.09)
Give the Gaza strip to Egypt and the West Bank to Jordan and let them take care of their brothers. And tell both countries about the consequences if the Palestinians continue to attack Israel. Neither Cairo nor Amman will risk a military conflict with Israel.
50. Hilary Clinton
Spencer ,   Israel   (04.24.09)
Hilary Clinton's sweet talk and "warning" to Israel don't fool any intelligent person. Her anti Israel and pro Palestinian feelings stick out like a sore thumb. In the short time that she and her president have been in office thay have done more harm to the USA's image that all previous Presidents and Secretaries of State put together have done!
51. With friends like the Arabs Israel needs no enemies
Jack ,   San Diego, USA   (04.24.09)
52. Go fight your own war! we aint with you.
Jerusalem   (04.24.09)
53. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO START WITH?..........#44
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (04.24.09)
List out the items that Iran cannot do without.Ha! Ha! Can't find them, can you?
54. Iran is just following the fish on a hook mentality...
Going to lose in the ,   end, which is close   (04.24.09)
55. 53 get a job, to talk way too much, defending fish...
already on the ,   hook   (04.24.09)
56. LET SARAH ATTEND TO THE ANSWER....#55
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (04.24.09)
Whilst you carry on dreaming about the fish already hooked
57. #53 Good news, it's already started
Cynthia ,   USA   (04.25.09)
"Washington, 23 April (WashingtonTV)—Two US lawmakers said on Wednesday that they have introduced a bipartisan bill which would upgrade US sanctions against Iran’s gasoline sector, in an effort to pressure the country to suspend its uranium enrichment activities. The “Iran Diplomatic Enhancement Act”, which target entities that supply, broker, insure or deliver gasoline to Iran, was co-written by Republican Representative Mark Kirk and Democratic Representative Brad Sherman." Iran imports 40% of its gasoline and began rationing gas to the public in 2007. There are primarily five companies that provide gasoline to Iran and pressure can be put on these companies. A better question for Mahmood might be what doesn't Iran import? Iran's dependence on domestic imports has become a big problem for Iran. Cars, appliances, technology, arms and weaponry are other import dependent domains.
58. RETAIN YOUR LIST.......................#57
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (04.25.09)
And let the list remain with you for the timebeing. It would be interesting indeed.
59. Iran hasn't invented anything since the bronze age
DANNY ,   America   (04.25.09)
everything they have not is stolen or bought. I think it's pretty funny how they bought electronics that we bugged and some that even contained viruses, not just from the US but Israel. lol Yeah this country may get their Nukes but at what price? You can fear the future or you can fear the one who after he kills you has the power to cast you into Hell. Iran has no god who can do anything but what it is doing now bringing them to the Real God's table as cut bait. Dumb beast created for God's own wrath and he will not let them succeed. God has clearly spoken this truth to the world through Israel, the Apple of His eye. Trying so hard to prove Israel wrong just proves you are nothing more than just a little fish already on the hook being reeled in for the day of His wrath and your slaughter, not by Israel but by Him you do not know.
60. DANNY.................................................#59
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (04.25.09)
Your talk-back reads like a nursery rhyme.I mean, please acknowledge your illiteracy.Because the extent to which you have gone will not even make critics of Iran accept your views.Anyway, there is nothing much to add except all of us had a hearty laugh to read your crap.
