medinat israel no matter what anyone says or how many try to harm it, israel is the only miracle of the twentieth century, a spirit of nationalism with all its bad and good, yet works all the way to the end. israel, a country born out of ashen and burned souls both is european and arab lands. a country that shelters all from arab lands, from russia, from etheopia, from america and from europe. a country of diverse and brilliant people, hard working, spiritual, dedicated, educated and ferociously proud of their accomplishments. a country born out of desert without money, without natural resources, without anything and no help. a country and a fiercely independent democratic society who despite all the wars and terror foisted on her, persevered and showed all of us, by example, how to move forward and how to best protect its jews against the rampant hate and arab jealousy in that area. a country whose people put ax and hoe to ground and build a beautiful country, the best high tech in the world, some of the top academic universities in the world and surely, one of the best armies,. as a lebanese muslim, i have nothing but admiration for your spirit, for your belief in yourselves and your rights as a nation. i envy you your position and wish to allah that my own people would follow your example. but, it is only a dream i have, a wish for the future that unfortunately will never materialize. i am looking at your grand celebration and at the beautiful faces of your next generation and am in awe. congratulations and may you prosper and continue to strive, produce and enjoy life in your given country. how do you say???? mazel tuv!

I love the people, the land, the sense of achdut (togetherness), the guns on everyone (and thus the security) the amazing feeling in the old city jerusalem on a summer night with 1000s of people coming in and out, while im just there with a drink and cig thinking how much I love Israel, jerusaelm the people and our G_D. ''When H returns the captivity of zion you will be like dreamers'' (Psalms124) i think that sums it up.

yes, dr. levy. you are right on. looking around at all the neighbors surrounding israel, one can't fail to notice that it is a pillar of freedom, hard work, decency, togetherness and above all a spirit that refuses to relinquish the land they entirely deserve, built and prospered on. now, when i look at the surrounding countries, i want to cry for my people and wish they all experience one instant of this celebration. but, no. they are all downtrodden failed dictatorships with poverty, inhumanity, hate, jealousy and backwardness. vivienne beirut, lebanon

After reading your talkback it's easy to understand your sadness and frustration. I hope that soon you'll be able to live in a Lebanon that will once again be a beacon of civility and prosperity, free of Hizbullah with its hatred and violence. It's a shame to think that Lebanon and Israel no longer share the relationship they once did. In fact, I still have a t-shirt that was given to me many years ago by an Israeli friend that shows the flags of Lebanon and Israel intertwined in a sign of friendship. I wish you all the best and look forward to reading your comments in the future.
17. # 3: By no way last celebration!
Dorothea Killus ,   Germany   (04.29.09)
Dear "mido" - whoever you are: Your sad wish will most surely not come true - as sure as the Almighty God stands on the side of Israel. We in Germany are so thankful and happy - though deeply humiliated because of our guilt - that Israel can celebrate today. Wishing you that you can soon celebrate the healing of your blindness, as it seems, towards Israel because you let God open the eyes of your heart and understanding, I greet you as I pray for you.
18. Remarkable Mathematical PROPHECY
Craig Crawford ,   Laguna Niguel USA   (04.29.09)
"Then God said to Ezekiel, 'Now lie on your left side for 390 days to show Israel will be punished for 390 years by captivity and doom. Each day you lie there represents a year of punishment ahead for Israel. Afterwards, turn over and lay on your right side for 40 days, to signify the years of Judah's punishment. Each day will represent one year . . .'" (Ezekiel 4:4-6) God told Ezekiel each day he lies on his side will represent one year of punishment for the Israel (+ Judah) because of their iniquities (sins) . . . 390 days Judgment against the 10 northern tribes 'Israel' + 40 days Judgment against the 2 southern tribes 'Judah' = 430 years Judgment against the nation of Israel In 606 B.C. Israel (Judah) was taken into captivity by Babylon for exactly 70 years ... 430 years of judgment determined against nation Israel - 70 years fulfilled during the Babylonian captivity = 360 years remaining in judgment against the nation of Israel The Mystery of 360 Years . . . There should have been a total of 360 years left in judgment against Israel after their release from Babylonian captivity by the Persian general Cyrus, exactly 70 years after the Babylonian captivity began (just as the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied before the captivity) ... but where was the remaining 360 year judgment in Israel's history??!! The 7X Factor of God's Judgment . . . Bible scholars could not find any specific captivity or dispersion that fulfilled these 360 years left in the judgment until a close look in the book of Leviticus revealed a startling prophetic warning ... "And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I (God) will punish you seven times more for your sins." (Leviticus 26:18) "Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I (God) will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins." (Leviticus 26:21) "And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me, then I (God) also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I will chastise you seven times for your sins.: (Leviticus 26:27-28) "I (God) will scatter you among the nations and draw a sword after you; your Land shall be desolate and your cities waste." (Leviticus 26:33) The 7X factor of God's judgment against nation Israel. God warned Israel if they continued in their disobedience He would multiply their judgment by seven times! Prophecy Fulfilled . . . Now, apply the 7X factor to the remaining 360 years of judgment against Israel in this remarkable prophecy . . . 360 Remaining years of judgment x 7 The prophetic '7X' factor = 2,520 Years of judgment remained against nation Israel God gave the Jews a most sophisticated calendar. It is both a Lunar and a Solar calendar. The Jewish calendar uses a 360 day lunar year and then adds a 'Leap Month' on specific years to accurately coincide with the Solar cycle ... The Bible uses 360 day years for prophecies. So, let’s first convert this prophecy into days ... 2,520 years x 360 days = 907,200 days of judgment remained against Israel after the Babylonian captivity Now, to convert the 907,200 days found in this prophecy into our 365.25 day solar years (the .25 adjusts for leap years) . . . 907,200 days/365.25 = 2,483.78 years of God's judgment remained Now look at this remarkable prophecy again . . . 606 B.C Israel in Babylonian captivity - 70 Years 70 years = 536 B.C. End of first 70 years of judgment + 2483 Years Add the 2,483 remaining years of judgment + 1 Year Add 1 year because of no "0" A.D. = 1948 AD! www.alphanewsdaily.com
