7.62mm ,   Not from Turkey   (04.29.09)
We can not be a ture nation, a united nation, a nation of brotherly love, a proud nation, a nation that knows right from wrong if some of us are still going on holiday to Turkey. What have we become poeple, what have we become, selling our soul for a cheap holiday???????.
2. You Left Out Hashem, Keren
Brana Lobel ,   Israel   (04.29.09)
You studied Jewish Studies but I guess Harvard and UTA left out Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov; you studied Philosophy but someone missed the Ramban and the other great Jewish philosophers, and you studied psychology when actually if you read the Tanach and Talmud you would have all the psychology you need to know, because human nature does not change. I, too, studied psychology and also practised, and pretty much everything salient in human behavior is found by studying the Jewish sages. How can we acknowledge our brother/sisterhood when we do not now even acknowledge a common father, either on earth as Avraham or Odom, or in Shamayim? We are fortunate that Hashem is so much infinitely more forgiving than we poor humans are. We are fortunate that as divisive as we are, we are still gifted with the Land, as in our covenant. We are fortunate that as foolish as we are, we are still protected by Shamayim. We should all try listening to each other more and try really hard to understand who has a more complete picture of "how it is".

Or they are in trouble with the law. They are looking for a way out of jail time or their failed careers, marriages, etc. They blame their failures on anti-semitism and think that by being surrounded other Jews everything will be better.
5. On this Independece Day..
Yakov   (04.29.09)
Well, I was at an independence day gathering, and all was very beautiful. Everything was as nice as can be, acknowledging the diversity of the Jewish people, while trying to still convey the message of the common reason why we observe this day: our common Jewish heritage. It is this that brings people together in the memory and struggle for the land. Toward the end, there was something with IDF, and I could not believe what I saw. There was something saying "We Have No Choice.". To that , I say yes there is a choice. We can fight proudly for our country. We should not be apologetic in the least for fighting for our rights to the land. What we have, we fought for and built with our hands. Don't start feeling sorry about it. Israel could be very vulnerable if too many become frier and forget about why it is there.

despite the NK & their traitorous ilk reaping the benifits of Israel yet refusing to acknowledge our homeland,Israel.. Sickens me to see those misguided fools burning our flag!!! Wish to make aliyah soon.. Am Y'sreal Chai

Bearded Bogeyman   (04.29.09)
The ego. The Udi generation whose parents screwed up royally and gave us a country of Meism. Or rats competing for scarce food. Witness the social neurosis o f a line for the bus. Then of course, the kibbutzim gave us mamzerim and the lovely composite personality traditionally associated with those.
8. too many pretend jews run our government

they have been corrupted by this worlds educational system and so are ashamed of our religious roots for fear of offending their worldly friends that have no time for G-D.

my name is ayelet rubinstein and i am extremely involved with nefesh be nefesh alyah program. i have NEVER HEARD A MORE REDICULOUS STATEMENT AS YUORS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!! not only that you have no clue of what you are talking about. not only that you do not know who and what arrives to israel as an oleh or olah, but you perport to know and to know for sure of what you are talking about. please make sure that your venum and hate for our country doesn't cloud the truth or your judgement. now, saying that, i would like to enlighten you of the people who do make alyah to our country. a. most have independent income (89%) and have been sucessful in their country of origin. most come from the usa and are very well financed individually and very well off. they are mostly self sufficient economically. b. most european jews making alyah are from england, france and the netherlands...for obvious reasons (there are too many of your kind chasing them out via antisemitism). these families have extremely wealthy bank accounts and have been very wealthy in europe in business, and the professions. most never require assistance from our government except for tax exemptions on goods they bring with them and a free airline ticket for their families, which is not much. actually, they purchase the most expensive real estate in our country without any difficulties, making the old israeli population upset because their affordability to indeed pay is hiking the asking prices for land and condos and homes. the biggest percentages of olim have been from this group. c. the youth that make alyah are young professionals and idealistic. they are high tech experts, doctors, lawyers and business people. sometimes you have a young man or woman that wishes to serve in the army for ideological reasons, but they do not count as a big percentage of olim. those professionals that do make alyah find jobs after apx. one year's time. yes, it is difficult economically, but they are professionals with degrees, NOT LOOSERS AND GANGSTERS RUNNING FROM THE LAW, as you so ignorantly and hatefully claim. these are people that are a brain power asset to israel and do bring many many good and positive gifts to israel in knowledge and science. for you to claim that all these people coming into israel as olim are murderers, gangsters, indecent, thieves, running from the law, looking to escape jail time, fail in their careers or marriages IS OBSENE TO SAY THE LEAST. it is not only untru, but is downright slanderous especially when facts on the ground negate your post. dr. ayelet rubinstein, phd nefesh be nefesh program tel aviv israel
10. What an amzing article
Michael Ben Raphael ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (04.30.09)
If we do not join as 1 nation, then Israel is in for big trouble. I suggest people start studying at kabbalah.info ASAP. The whole world is waiting for us to show them that we are a light unto the nations, and we are far from it.
11. Israel Is...
Heather Czerniak ,   Milwaukee, USA   (04.30.09)
...where we all started out. And Israel is where we will all end up. The whole world is now in turmoil and it's only a matter of time before they point the finger at us. It's happened before on many occasions. We Jews can fret about our differences all we want , but G-d has the last word. Better him than...some mortal who's highly opinionated. G-d gave us Israel as not only a homeland, but a place of refuge. We haven't always lived up to His expectations, but he hasn't abandoned us yet. G-d chose us for a reason. It wouldn't hurt to pray a little every now and then. It's when we pray that he listens.

Excellent "article". Totally true. I think Israel is more united than any other nation/country! But there is room for more improvement!

14. take into consideration...
Israel   (04.30.09)
This article sums up the way many people- including- olim feel. Part of the culture in Israel is the garuntee that while shopping for your challah on a friday morning, you WILL be pushed out of the way, or that while walking down the street, a youth may yell a profanity out at you for no reason. I have had the pleasure of living in three distinctly different places in this wonderful country, and I must say that no matter where, the level of brotherhood has declined, even in the short three years that I have been here. It is not only up to G-d, G-d gave us free will and the need to do tzedakah and gimilut hasadim... this is now our duty, and if we are not brotherly with one another, what sort of example are we setting for our fellow citizens, our children, and the anti-semites... without a love for each other, how can we expect the rest of the world to in turn, love us?

and both of your posts make anti israeli right on the land & an anti aliya propaganda. good of you to highlight you are connected though you know the info you got from the net is false a)jews in tel aviv arent anti aliya b)every sentimeter of israel is israel. its not about control, it's about enough space where jews are protected, where they can live as jews , ie national holidays ,customs and shabat are shared in a community & enjoyed by all. jerusalem is the 3000 year old capital of a 4000 year old nation. a newly invented palestinian nation claiming to have a stake in 3000 year old city, its beyond rediculous. especialy the israel is the only jewish country there is

nana, i assume by your spelling that you are in fact an arab living in israel. WELCOME! we didn't deny you your citizenship, i see, as all the arab nations surrounding you have denied you your inclusion in their arab societies.....now, have they included you? have they given you citizenship in their countries? nana, why do you think the arab countries before "the occupation", before 1967...why didn't they include you arabs and palestinians in their countries? why did they put you in camps that are vile in poverty and why did they indoctrinate you to hate and use you all as a political tool against israel, knowing that this will bring only hate, only war, only death to all palestinians and arabs. why didn't they care for you and why didn't both egypt and jordan give you a free palestinian state between 1948 - 1967? DID YOU EVER ASK YOURSELF THAT QUESTION????? why didn't you, as "palestinians" request and scream for an independent palestinian state when arabs in egypt and jordan ruled over you, didn't accept you in their countries, didn't give you citizenship, kept you in terror and in poverty and angry in refugee camps? do you know why???? and you point the finger at israel? shameful! no, i do not live in "talaviv". by the way, the word is tel aviv, israel. we do not need to control our land. IT IS OUR LAND, A JEWISH NATION OF JEWISH PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THE UN RESOLUTION IN 1947 WHICH STATES...a national home for the jewish people. NOT YOUR HOME. we invited you to continue to live with us, but you refused on many occasions and continued to choose leaders and oarty members that are detrimental to your well being and interests. you also must know that arabs in israel, those that have citizenship and chose to remain during 1947-1948 have full israeli citizenships with all the benefits, education, health care and representation of arab governmental parties in the knesset. when the pa was on the verge of declaring a possible state, 9,000 arabs ran to the israeli internal and immigration office in both jerusalem and in tel aviv and demanded to stay in israel and get israeli citizenship. i wonder why? is it possible they refused to live under the pa government or in a future islamic/sharia state of palestine? you know why? BECAUSE THEIR LIVES AND QUALITY OF LIVES IN ISRAEL IS BETTER THAN ANY ARAB LIVING ANYWHERE IN THE MIDDLE EAST...AND YOU KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE! the fact that arabs in israel refuse to unite with the people of israel, refuse to serve in the army, yet accept all the bonuses, all the free education and health care, yet refuse to recognize israel as a jewish state is unfortunate. being a jewish state doesn't mean that the jewish law will make arabs a second class citizen. it just means that the majority will always rule and the majority is jewish, accepts jewish laws, accepts torah law and all the trimming. no one denies you your right to practice your religion or holiday and israel never keeps you in a prison. YOU ARE FREE HERE IN ISRAEL AND YOU KNOW IT. the arabs in israel get the same justice as jews all over. they represent themselves in court, they demonstrate, they hold meetings, they do political parties, etc... YOU ARE FREE UNDER THE LAW. but, you arabs will never fail to continuously complain. if you do not like it, go to all arab countries and live there. let me know how life is like there. i am sure you'll beg israel to take you back. dr. ayelet rubinstein, phd tel aviv, israel talk about unity

18. Everyone is missing the point
Michael Ben Raphael ,   Tel Aviv   (05.02.09)
We cannot compare ourselves to the west and say for 61 years Israel is in a good state. We are supposed to be different, so forget being like the west. This is not about politics or financial achievements, this is about " Love thy neighbor as you love yourself." this is what God wants from the Jewish people. We have to stop worrying that we are being a friar, and start truly loving each other by rising above are ego's. We are like cells in one body, and when you have a white jew hating a black jew, or safardi hating eshcanasi then we are destroying the body that God chose to show the world a new way of living, with real love for each other. For those who have ears LISTEN, because Israel is facing great danger if we dont change on our own. then gods force of nature will force us to change through great suffering. Remember we are a stiff necked people. So come on brothers and sisters, lets try loving each other and UNITE as ONE people.

i wonder how your anti israili view is relevant to an article about brotherly love in israel. contrary to your dislike of israili, you state that urdun are not the enemy. kafelharis also belonged to jordan till 67, so instead of moving to jerusalem, you could be experiencing brotherly love in jordan. haram, la? lets say you preferred not to move east of the jordan river (only a few km away from jerusalem) but into EAST JERUSALEM WHICH IS THE VILLAGES THAT WERE ANNEXED TO JERUSALEM by the jews, NOT BY JORDAN. why do you dislike the jews? would you prefer to say you come from a village outside jerusalem? people infiltrate from jordan, illegal building are created, the place looks like a messy makeshift town. since you became jerusalem woman in 67 you mustn’t forget jerusalem has a new status to uphold. you can't turn the wheel back to the sort of messy building during the ottoman times, when people were migrating in the empire, and a roof that wasn't destroyed by the evening of the day it was put up, was left to last another day. you can read about that law. zionists used it too, because the land (before it was called palestine) belonged to the ottoman empire and not the arabs who resided there. BUT recent history isn't the issue of your post here. before i start admiring arab imagination, i must say, your spelling is superb. though the content is inclined to arab way of talking in the west, you have nothing to apologise for, in fact, most university graduates make spelling mistakes when writing in a foreign language. more amazing is that a person who can master the intricate spelling of the english language at a beautifuly wize age, is trying to squeeze him\herself into unsubstantiated ideas, even though eloquently put. “not erupt from a rock” (like a spring?) gets the west to instantly understand, instead of the cumbersome explanations trying to connect an extinct race to living people one hears from local arab scholars. still, arabs in Israel & WB esp. those who speak more then 1 language traced their roots & know they are arabs and not something else. for general info the cnaanite tribes in the area became extinct because those that survived the wars were ASSIMILATED BY THE ISRAELITES. usually people who survived the wars became enslaved in jewish households, thus part of the jewish people. after a few decades, they couldn’t tell the cnaanite origins from the jewish origins, let alone after two or three millennia. to qualify for being the remnants of a lost tribe, this tribe would have to remain relatively hidden (the jewish tribes that were lost 2500 years ago, and didn't become a part of judean kingdom, are searched for in hidden corners of the globe). your claim to fame after 4000 years is very unsubstantiated in the most inspected place on the planet, with the upmost regional changes, the last is the jews changing from being a minority into being a majority once again. it is obvious that arabs would wish to take a ride on the leading trend (zionism which is jewish nationalism) as a part of exhausting all other possibilities except war, so they begin to associate themselves with the jews and the cnaanites. jews would welcome that, if there was a shread of evidence to this claim, to avoid wars, and live in unity with these jews. separating themselves with recently invented new palestinian arab nation to counter zionism means wars. even before any studies were made it was obvious to arabs THEY MIGRATED into this area, some in recent, some not recent history, and therefore purely arabs. today the moslem people of Israel & wb trace their roots to tribes who came from arabia. i can even tell you which arab tribes they were.
