1) When you havent got a job and you got no garden because you live in some junky 3 floor walkup...what are you going to do after you water the balcony plants? 2) Its summer time, its friggin hot and the radio and TV are constantly having these talking heads talk about nothing..where are you going to go to escape? 3) The only phone calls you get are some relatives who are looking for a mooch plan and you want to pretend you havent got a cent, where are you going to go? 4) When people havent got much and they want to pretend and want to be seen where are they going to go? Its called cheap thrills...

Real cafe "attendance" is on the rise in the big city cafes, Starbucks and Caribou for the most part. In these "chain" style cafes, there is a major increase of people who are not customers, people who buy nothing from the cafe but bring in their own food and drink, piggy backing many times on the tiny trickle of WIFI bandwidth that may be available. In many cities the bandwidth is provided free by the municipality. In Chicago, the larger Starbucks are used by floating casino gambling in backgammon, one gambler buys a product and the other 7 hang around, though paper onehundred dollar bills pass between them.
