manufacturing. I can see the setlers add, just don't be safe.
3. Good article...
gedaliah   (05.13.09)
Very important questions are asked here. If, theoretically, Israel were to agree to remove Jews from Judea and samaria, the question of how should be addressed. If perhaps the world tells Israel that a UN militry would come into Israel and do this job, would we agree to something like this. There is no doubt that it would be impossible for Israel to do it. In Gaza, people left in peace hoping that the rest of the world would feel their pain and suffering. this would not happen again. There will be a fight. If Jews remove other Jews, there will be no gunfire. If a foreign army comes in, there will be. What "neutral" country would put their sons at risk?
4. Thank you
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (05.13.09)
B"H A big "thank you" must go to Hornik for writing this and to ynetnews.com editors for publishing it. It is good to know that the free-fall of human-rights protection-levels when it comes to Jews bottom out at "be fruitful and multiply". Once we established this basic standard, may we move on now and discuss the political future of Judea and Samaria? May we mention that these territories are part of biblical Ertetz Israel and could and should be given over to the 300.000, mostly religious and ideological Jews actually living there? May we say now that Torah-Jews, and not necessarily the Democratic Republic of Israel, have a national claim on the Land?

9. Have all the babies you want...
Anti-settler Zionist ,   Washington DC   (05.13.09)
But be prepared to move back home to Israel. You're in the occupied territories illegally and will have to go. It's bad enough that the settlement blocs will remain. Your failure to move will ensure, God forbid, churban ha-Bayit ha-Shlishi. Nowhere in the world can people just expand their communities -- it's called urban planning. Sometimes a given place is too crowded and people just have to move.
10. Get Rid for good of these stupid settlers
(05.13.09)
Why do our soldiers need to protect them, Israel should immidiately stop building settlements and evacuate all illegal settlements....time for real PEACE!
11. The hypocrisy of this post is incredible
Jacob ,   Cambridge, England   (05.13.09)
:-Israel shows no similar concern for the natural growth of the Palestinian population. Allowing the settlers "natural growth" means imposing unnatural shrinkage on the Palestinians by force of arms. :-Israel does not show the qualms is has about occupying settlers from lands they illegally have illegally occupied for a few decades when it comes to ejecting Palestinians from homes they and their ancestors have legally owned for centuries. :-Limiting "natural growth" would not entail settlers not having children, merely some of those children having to live in Israel rather than in the occupied territories. It is the continued existance - let alone the expansion - of the settlements that is a violation of fundamental human norms. Anyone who does not support the removal of most or all of the settlements cannot claim to be in favour of peace - they are effectively advocating eternal warfare, with Israel firmly in the wrong.
12. Settle the NE Negev and Galilee!
Ari   (05.13.09)
these places are full of new beduin and arab towns and need settlement. drive in the NE negav area at night and you will see lights from beduin tents and settlements everywhere.
13. stop natural growth of morons
L Lowenthal Marcus ,   Philadelphia USA   (05.13.09)
#s 9, 10 and 11, your posts show such an ignorance of history, international law and global norms that it would take much more space than permitted in a talkback to respond adequately. So instead, I simply implore you to stop reproducing because there are already enough ignorant people on this planet.
14. #11 If it's about real peace
Amihai   (05.13.09)
Could you explain me why your "real peace" did not occur before 67 ? There weren't no settlements, but there weren't pace too. And for the legal part, I suggest you to first look about the history of Goushe Tziyon, before 48. And you must explain me what removal does except getting judea-samaria "judenrein". Maybe because the pals don't want jewishs pals...
15. # 9,10,11
shosh ,   los angeles ca usa   (05.13.09)
what you call 'settlements' is Israel proper & hope none of the inhabitants will ever leave! What for,to make another destructive Gazan terrorist nest ?? Am Y'srael Chai,B'H' shosh/Lea
16. Keep having babies...
EARL MANN ,   TORONTO, CANADA   (05.13.09)
Should the Palis ever get their act together, [as if] and 100,000 Jews are forced to leave their nascent state, then a corresponding number of Arabs should be 'persuaded' to leave Israel as well. Fair is fair!
17. Beezrat HaShem may I live in Yesha in the near future!
Yochanan ,   Amsterdam   (05.13.09)
18. to fools in the usa that want us to obey their god?
why does government ,   waste time listening   (05.13.09)
we don't need their money, which is now worthless anyway, and we dont need their weapons and we don't need their advice. we helped them more than they ever helped us so its time for the divorce. so long usa and uk enjoy paying your monetary debts to the rest of the world you love so much.
19. May you have a dozen children in each family. Thank goodness
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.14.09)
I am too old to help, I can't stand to be around crying children.
20. I can't wait until they start to relocate the Jews in New
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (05.14.09)
York and Florida. The Hollywood Jews can go to Canada? I imagine the American Indians would get to kick everyone out of the USA... under the same stupid agreements that the UN and the USA have tryed to negotiate by force. What's good for thr goose is good for the gander. I can only imagine the open hostility the Muslims in Europe would have... if they were forced to relocate to the countries of origin in the Middle East. The United States could do the same routine. Why is it that Jews are the only ones labeled with and forced to relocate other places? This land was stolen from them by Muslims centuries ago in the first place.
21. Jacob, 11, What about the hypocrisy of your post?
Darren ,   Oakland, CA   (05.14.09)
1) The issue of natural growth of the Arab population. Allowing Arabs natural growth means imposing unnatural shrinkage on Jews by force of arms. The knife cuts both ways. 2) The lands are 'disputed', not occupied. In order for the lands to be occupied, there would have to be another sovereign state claiming jurisdiction over the West Bank. With Jordan's renunciation of claims over the West Bank, the territory is terra nullius according to international law. No other sovereign nation claims it. If Abbas unilaterally declared the sovereignty of a Palestinian state tomorrow, then we could claim that the territory is occupied. Until then, the territory is considered disputed in the eyes of the law. 3) Most "Palestinians" are actually descendants of Syrian migrant workers who illegally immigrated during the period of the British Mandate. They are as native to the region as Whites are to South Africa. Besides, most of the land west of the Jordan River currently "occupied" was legally owned by absentee Turkish landlords, whose right of ownership was legally transferred to the British on the condition that it be made into a Jewish National Home. Arabs have little to no legal property rights in the region: a) because they never owned the land; and b) a national home was created for the Arabs of the British Mandate east of the Jordan River in the 1920s - a country named JORDAN. 4) It is the continued existence of Arabs west of the Jordan that constitutes one of the longest lasting "occupations" and usurpments of human and national rights that any indigenous nation has ever experienced. Palestine, itself, is occupation. Anyone who does not support the removal of most or all Arab settlements and the enforcement of the 2-state solution that was half-heartedly enacted by the British in the 1920's cannot be considered a supporter of peace and human rights. They effectively perpetuate the continued colonization and apartheid employed by the region's Arab occupiers.
22. The land goes to the strongest
pub ,   USA   (05.14.09)
That's the way nature has always worked. Israel has given back land because of the UN and it's never enough for the invading Muslims. Get the International community out of Israel's business. Get these Marxist Internationalists out of the US government. Make the "Palestinians" absorb back into the Muslim-majority countries and the HUGE region they already have. Studies show Europe will be wiped out in 50 years by Muslim birth rates. Even at the Muslims' single digit percentage of the population, they're already causing unbelievable trouble and demanding people live their way of life. Anyone saying anything about that? Enough of this brainwashing! The UN and liberals together with the Muslims are setting up a totalitarian Marxist/Muslim-dominated world.
23. No forced removals; but optional dual nationality
Mark G Kirshner ,   East Islip, NY USA   (05.14.09)
The must be no more forced removals. If Some settlements are left within newly darwn borders, then Jews should be allowed to live there under Palestinian sovereignty with the option of dual nationality. Their political interests as a minority in a Palestinian would be a moderating force -- just as Israeli arabs are in Israel proper -- no reasonable person is seriously advocating the forced removal of Israeli arab citizens to areas outside the 1949 armistice lines or denial of their voting rights. Settler removal is out of the question. Any attempt to enforce it would invite civil war and bankrupt the moral authority of the State of Israel. Are we headed for a divided Kingdom? If so, many with stand with the State of Judea in peace or war. No more withdrawals from settled land.
24. Housing
Proud "settler" ,   Yesha   (05.14.09)
I live on a "settlement" and we have no empty apartments or houses for young couples getting married. The situation is the same on most of the settlements, and is a very big problem.
25. Responses reveal the thin layer over vile hatred
Ilan ,   Ariel   (05.14.09)
The bottom line for the self-proclaimed peace camp is that they really, really hate the dosim. There is no real hope for peace, certainly not if it comes at the price of no rights for 'settlers' (who are so dehumanized they need a special label). The Arabs need to look about improving their lives and not build their 'state' on the back of hating us. Their supporters should also have the decency to admit that they are fascists and racists and not try to disguise their hatred with a 'peace agenda'.
26. they're not settlements
T. Traub ,   Phoenix, Arizona USA   (05.15.09)
They're part of biblical Israel. May they grow and prosper. And may the savage tribes who seek to kill them be driven into other lands. The world loves to talk about a "2 state solution"--so, what kind of solution did Gaza turn out to be? The Israelis have claim to that land and the Arabs are squatters and thugs. They want a state of their own? Let them work for it and earn it, the way the Jews have.
27. Sensible questions
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (05.15.09)
This article asks sensible questions about U.S. policy. It shows up the assymetry and bias which dominate discussion of the conflict. It would be hoped that instead of believing that the way to Peace is through one- sided pressure on Israel , the Administration should try to address the racist, anti- Semitic attitudes and actions of the other side. I believe Israel should work for a Jewish state with as large a Jewish majority as possible. But why is it automatically assumed that any Arab state must have no Jews whatsoever? Isn't this giving in to Arab bigotry and racism?
28. it seems ok to want to thrown out jews but not arabs
jack bauer   (05.18.09)
does anyone think that hostile arabs should be kicked out of Israel in exchange for jews being thrown out of Yesha
