1. Yeah, and Jews want the Romans to return 2d temple
Ev'ry day's a ,   Naqba Day   (05.14.09)
artifacts. Ain't gonna happen, folks, and their not gonna wait around for it, y' know. Arabs should produce land deeds if they want reparations and resettle in a future state of Palestine outside of the state of Israel. Those keys they keep flauting will not ever hold up in any court on the face of the Earth.
2. Nakba
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron-Israel   (05.14.09)
Why should we accept anybody who lives here and profit from us to call us "The Zionist Entity"? We must talk loud and clear, and let the message reach everybody: Abbas is nobody! He represents nobody! Shallah and others are also nobody! This is the Land of Israel! They don't like it? They can leave! Stop this circus of old keys and lies!
3. Have a Happy Nakba day everyone :)

5. Broken record!
David Banin ,   London   (05.14.09)
Blah Blah. Nonsense propoganda and lies. My parents actually were kicked out of Aden in the Anti-Jewish Pogroms and my in-laws were expelled from Tripoli however I don't see any metion of this. The world should note that the arabs of Israel that didn't run like cowards in 1948 are all still living in their homes of Jaffa, Lydda, Ramle, Haifa etc. They had a choice and the ones that chose to run left those that stayed are now Israeli Arabs. How many Jews were allowed to stay in Tripoli or Aden? tha answer is none not even one!

Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.14.09)
One Jew-free state for now, one state for driving Jews out later.

15. Denying history denies ability to move on.
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (05.14.09)
"The fact that there are these refugees is the direct consequence of the act of the Arab states in opposing partition and the Jewish State. The Arab states agreed upon this policy unanimously and they must share in the solution of the problem." Emile Ghoury, Secretary of the Palestinian Arab Higher Committee. Appeared in the British Telegraph September 6th, 1948 "The Arabs of Haifa fled in spite of the fact that the Jewish authorities guaranteed their safety and rights as citizens of Israel." George Hakim, Greek Catholic bishop of Galilee, New York Herald Tribune June 30th, 1949 Right to return? I don't think so. Move on, stop keeping the identity of refugee, and stop festering hate.
16. Arabs demands are illegal
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.14.09)
'right of return was undeniable and must be implemented as part of any future agreement' violates the UN Charter. The UN Charter affirms the right of ALL nations to determine who can enter their country. This is one of the basic rights of sovereignty. So their demand is illegal, only Israel can determine who can and who can not enter. No other body in the entire world has that right. Besides who ever heard of a country upon creation demanding the right to move their population to another country? That is assinine, oh wait they are Arabs.
17. Ethnic Germans want return to Poland also!
Yoni   (05.14.09)
Large populations of people who fought for the enemies of the victors have always been displaced but in a non-middle eastern world they are absorbed. This constant whine about a supposed homeland that they vacated so arab armies could drive the Jews into the sea has gone on too long. Get a life and go on!
18. Thousands on 4 millions....
smith   (05.14.09)
they are at theirs homes
19. Going Home!
Edithann ,   USA   (05.14.09)
you can deny it all you want..but Plaestinians will be 'GOING HOME' whether Jews and Israeli like it or not..it's just a matter of time.. TATA
20. The guy in the picture with the key ls TOO RIDICULOUS!
LMAO ROFL ,   LOL!!!   (05.14.09)
That key looks like it opens the dungeon in Dracula's castle or Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory! Do Palestinians realize how foolish they behave with their "Naqba" nonsense? Attention Pals: You do NOT OWN ANY HOUSES IN ISRAEL ANY MORE. GO SHOW YOUR KEYS TO KING ABDULLAH AND ASK HIM TO BUILD YOU NEW HOUSES FOR YOUR BIG, SILLY, OVERSIZED KEYS.
21. Their Home Is Jordan
Dan ,   USA   (05.15.09)
22. To: Edithann
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (05.15.09)
No one is stopping them from going home. "Home" happens to be the Arabaian peninsula and the Balkans. Either way, Edithann (wasn't that the name Lily Tomlin used for her depictions of the idiot child in her comic routines? Yeah. It was. Hmm. Now I know where her she got the idea.) Get a grip. Arabs, Palestinians, Syrians get what Israel decides to give them. If you think you can change that, c'mon down. Join the fray. You won't like the outcome, but put your money where your mouth is, bubbeleh.
23. Is it me or do the keys get larger each year?
William ,   Israel   (05.15.09)
Soon it will take the whole family to carry the "key" to their "house" on this farce of a day.
24. #19 and all Pals - A product of Arab racism and ignorance
William ,   Israel   (05.15.09)
It is well-documented that most Arabs who consider themselves "Pals" are infact illegal immigrants caught between State building and war. In Turkish census prior to WWI, only 5% of the land in Palestine was privately owned, the rest in the hands of Sultans and the State. In 1930s, the British documented many illegal immigrants streaming across the border for work, from Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria. The real issue here is two-fold: 1) to demand a right of return negates all responsibility by Arabs for their wars and racism, and ends by destroying Israel - the Arab's end-goal. 2) When the war broke out, Arab nations themselves blocked immigration so these "Pals" couldn't return to their old home. And they can't go back to Israel for they don't own anything there anyway, and still seek to destroy the Jews. Sad for them, but without a compromise for absorption into Arab States, they will remain in limbo again for many decades.
25. 61 years
zachary margolies ,   philadelphia, USA   (05.16.09)
The organization Justice for Jews from Arab Countries is addressing the injustice due 850,000 Jews uprooted from Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Morrocco and Libya. Jews in these countries were forced to leave everything and received no compensation. The difference between them and the 726,000 Arabs that left what became Israel is the Israel absorbed the Jews where as the Jordan and Egypt kept them as stateless refugees. The fault lies with the Arabs. Had they accepted a two state solution in 1947, they would be sitting on more land than they have now. They should have given peace and compromise a chance.
26. #19 EDITHAN .... AGREE WITH THIS 100 PERCENT !
ABARAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (05.16.09)
EDITHANN, YOU ARE SO RIGHT . THE PALS COULD START THEIR PILGRAMAGE BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN .......... TO ARABIA OR THE PAL. STATE OF JORDAN "Plaestinians will be 'GOING HOME' whether Jews and Israeli like it or not..' "ISRAELIS WILL LIKE IT, OR NOT"........... ISRAELIS WILL LIKE IT SO MUCH THEY WILL HELP THEM MOVE ACROSS THE RIVER TO THEIR JORDAN.
27. LEADERS TORMENTING PAL KIDS....
ABARAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (05.16.09)
WHEN WILL THE PALS STOP SUBJECTING THEIR OWN CHILDREN TO DECADES OF THEIR OWN LEADERS HATE, AND PLACING THIS MISERY OF HATE ON TO THE CHILDREN ? IT SEEMS THAT THE PALS LEADERS ARE VERY WILLING TO SACRIFICE THEIR OWN CHILDREN........ THIS IS A CRUEL AND PAGAN TRADITION, BUT STILL THRIVES TODAY IN THE PALS-ARABS MINDSET. ONE OF THE ARAB LEADERS JUST SAID HE WILL SACRIFICE HIS LIFE JUST "AS THE PAL CHILDREN OF GAZA DID".......... BUT HE IS JUST BULLS-- NG. INSTEAD OF THE HAMAS - PALS. LEADERS THROWING YOUR CHILDREN IN FRONT OF THE BATTLES....... WHY DON'T THESES BRAVE PAL LEADERS THROW THEMSELVES INTO THE FRONT LINES.......... HAMAS-PALS CLAIM THAT THE CHILDREN OF GAZA ARE TO BE GLORIFIED AND TO BE MARTYRED.......THIS IS COWARDICE AT IT'S EXTREME. THE HAMAS-PALS SHOULD DO THE CIVILISED THING..................PROTECT THE PAL CHILDREN ...LEAVE THEM SAFE AT HOME WHEN IN BATTLE ..... BUT WHAT WILL THE HAMAS-PALS DO WITHOUT THEIR CHILDREN PROTECTING THEM BY BEING USED AS " HUMAN SHIELDS " !
28. Let us remember all stories of trauma
Stewart Mills ,   Sydney, Australia   (06.05.09)
Let us unite as people to remember all stories of trauma. As Palestinians we should remember the Holocaust, we should remember the pogroms of Russia and Eastern Europe the expulsions from western Europe and from Spain. As Jews we should remember the skeletons in our own closet. We should remember the Nakba. We should remember that in order to found a Jewish state where there local community did not agree violence would have to be used. As Jews we should learn our history and see that although the General Assembly gave support for partition the majority of the UN Security Council rejected the partition plan in March 1948 and sought to consider a trusteeship instead. Every life is sacred. Both as Palestinians and Jews we need to seek to share our stories of pain rather than trying to portray ourselves as the greater victim.
