I just do not understand why we even waste our time with the Jews, all they are interested in is, holocaust, holocaust, holocaust, and self pity. They are not happy until people beg for forgiveness, even from those who have done no wrong, and preach only peace. As a German, and a very proud German, I would love nothing better than to sever all ties with this most racist hateful country. Is the pope a hypocrite or just daft?

if you cannot understand how extremely difficult, even unimaginable it is, to conduct business as usual with the Germans (especially the older generation - i.e. ex cardinal Ratzinger). Most of them do not even acnowledge the crimes they commited, let alone ask forgiveness for them. No one is accusing the Pope of anything, but I think he could have made the extra mile in order to really, really convince the hearts of the Israelis that he is compassionate and truly sincere. Did you get my hint? If not, come and visit Israel to convince yourself ,among others, that we are not at all racists as opposed to your country where racism was invented and reinvented during Hitler until it got to levels of paroxism and madness. As for myself, I visited Germany several times (not for business!!) in spite of the fact that it was so difficult to think of my aunt and her two little children murdered by your ancestors at Ausschwitz. I even managed to make a distinction between good Germans and Nazi or Neo-nazi Germans and make a few good friens, as well. What about you Stefan? Throwing words from Germany simply won't cut it !

You ask, why can't older Germans go the extra mile? Are you serious? Do you have any idea what Germans have done in our attempt to redeem our selfs for crimes I never condoned, would have never condoned or participated in? As for not all Jews being racist, sure I believe that, but from what I have seen posted here, I'm quite sure, most are. One more thing about going that extra mile to confess to crimes, how about Jews do the same, sure you didn't do it, but if you expect Germans such as myself to bow my head in shame, maybe you should for your forefather that created communism, how about the Bolsheviks, for creating the NKVD? What, you don't like the tables turned on you? There is no religion, race, culture without a dark history including yours, but yet you people like to admit it.

Hate us? Lets see, we are the most liked people on earth, compared to Israelis...the most hated, and this is according to international polls. Sorry to tell you this, telling the truth is not hate.
