3. after 60 years coexistence is dangerously unstable, better..
bernard ross ,   st anns bay jamaica   (05.18.09)
....to separate like any people who cannot get along. The jews cannot afford to live with anyone denying the holocaust or israels right to exist. They need to be on the enemy's side of the border.
4. What about trend in acknowledging Holocaust?
Mike ,   Atlanta USA   (05.18.09)
40.5% of "Israeli" Arabs believe the Holocaust never happened. How much of an increase (or decrease) is that from previous years?

6. ARAB ISLAELIES ARE HYPOCRITES
Paz ,   LATIN AMERICA   (05.18.09)
They recognize the existence of the state ONLY when they are receiving the benefits. Aren't Israelies tired of supporting with their taxes and work ungrateful people.
7. Only 40%
SMelmoth   (05.18.09)
Why do the figures surprise anyone? The Arabs are constantly bombarded with the worst sort of anti-Israeli hate propaganda, day and night, all their media, written, electronic, what they hear in the mosques, 24/7, and the government does exactly nothing to counteract it. How much would it cost to set up an Arabic radio station that broadcast the Israeli side to what are basically its own citizens? And it could broadcast across the green line, that wouldn't hurt either, how about a little pro-Israeli propaganda from the government?
8. Contradiction
Laila ,   Sweden   (05.18.09)
How can ANYONE believe in the democratic jewish state of Israel? A state based on religion can never be democratic, so Israel better start working towards being a real democracy and maybe then the arabic population in Israel would find it easier having some loyalty with Israel.
9. to #8 what is that go to do with historical fact
ghostq   (05.18.09)
they want sympathy and rights, this is not the way, people know it's sensitive subject to jews, and here is a fine example of crule behavior, you want rights you turn to the gov but not to the people, who by now developed hostility toward the arabs.
10. easy! pay back their land, they will say 12 millions
observer   (05.18.09)
when you return back their land, they will see how credible you are and believe any thing you say.
11. NO?
Lisa   (05.18.09)
force them to visit Yad Vashem- take special history classes- if they don't agree or don't understand- make them leave- they can join their idiot brothers... anti-semitism is bad enough from outside- but from within the country does not bode well for the survival of the country. Instead of witch hunting outside the country (pope's visit, graffiti in Europe etc.) this would be a more worthwhile effort- it affects Israel directly- . No TB today? I am surprised.
12. #11 religion freedom

Tom Segev, a prominent Israeli writer, correctly said that the Holocaust has become "an object of worship." Abraham Foxman, head of the Anti-Defamation League has declared: “The Holocaust is a near successful attempt on the life of God's Chosen children and, thus, on God himself”. Tony Judt, a prominent Jewish scholar wrote : `Why is it illegal [in certain countries] to deny the Holocaust but not other genocides?’ `Is the threat of anti-Semitism not exaggerated?’ And, increasingly, `Doesn’t Israel use the Holocaust as an excuse?’ I do not recall hearing those questions in the past.” According to Judaism, the 613 mitzvot or "commandments" given in the written Torah, as well as their reasonings in the oral Torah, were only issued to the Jews and are therefore binding only upon them, having inherited the obligation from their ancestors. They have the right to worship God in their own way.
13. In the dimension they live in,
The 11th Man ,   London   (05.18.09)
where black is white, up is down, and evil is good, it didn't happen. THE SHOAH HAPPENED IN THE REAL WORLD, IN A REAL TIME, TO REAL PEOPLE.
14. Deport them all
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (05.18.09)
The modern State of Israel rose like a phoenix out of the ashes of the Holocaust. Any Arab who professes to believe that the Holocaust never happened should have his citizenship revoked and then deported -- Iran would be a suitable location. They don't believe the Holocaust happened, either.
