Every single country with a military has regular training exercises for the event of multiple types of engagement. For the record, the Arab armies were the aggressors in 48 and 67. 7 Arab armies in 48 could not throw Israelis into the sea and 5 failed to do so again in 67. Nasrallah is not only showboating, he needs something to make up 'reinforce his victory' from 2006 (may they have 3000 more of such kinds). His takeover of Beirut and coup setup in Egypt are still not sitting well with many. He will try to perform a short scale attack, one that he hopes will cause huge casualties (civilian and soldier) or re-attempt to perform kidnappings. However, he will then immediately try to create a situation where the US or the international community will intervene such as to stop any Israeli response. I believe a few days before the Lebanese election it could start 'raining' in northern Israel, but I'd recommend sitting this one in the bomb shelter. He wants to create a 'victory' but one where an Israeli response will block off elections. It is Hezbo that shouts death to Israel and the like, quote after quote their obession and most Lebanese know this. Israelis would love a free normal Lebanon. Their only enemy in Lebanon is Hezbo - which is normal if you consider the contant retoric by Hezbo about destroying Israel, death to the Jews etc etc. Would they be freinds???? They are up for election and want to instill as much fear as possible to get people to vote for them. They have also threaten the Lebanese people with another May 7 event, albeit in a flowery manner. We are in a period where it is the least likely ever that hezbollah will do anything on the border. What party would launch an attack or a war when it is expected to win the elections in early June? The nasrallah speech is also a deterrent, just letting israel and the people of lebanon know that they are not going to be taken by surprise if a war happens.

He's desperate to show his existence has some purpose to Lebanon. He made a mess in 2006. Even a Hizbograd Commission would have faulted him for starting this senseless war in the first place. This is an election stunt, they are the heros and any loyal Lebanese voter would back their defenders.
