1. To Israel: Strike Now While Their Iron is Cold
Dav Lev ,   Burbank, CAUSA   (05.20.09)
Every year, the naysays (for Israel's defense) complain that either our allocation for foreign assistance is too much, or we simply don't have the funds. This year was no different., except that the Democrats have envisioned trillions more to bail-out banks, insurance companies, etc. So where does the money come from? For starters, the Chinese, then the US taxpayer ultimately, over the next 100 years. The US seems aggressive when it comes to assisting Israel with defense.Patriots, Arrows, Iran Dome, etc. We all know that one Iranian nuke hitting Tel Aviv, and it's all over but the crying. Lets suppose Russia had fired one nuke into NYC or Washington, or Dallas, etc. what would we say. Lets' assume smallpox spores were released in Philadelphia and 1m people killed within 3 months..what then? Defense is fine, but not the ultimate. Russa lost 3m against Germany's Barbarossa..then another 24m before it ended. Israel has no such luxury. To Israel: sometimes a good offense primes a good defense..hint: take out Iran's nuke and missile program while you have the chance. Each month that goes by, you are in greater mortal danger. Iran is stalling, and Obama and the West are buying into it for their own selfish reasons.

Very nice, articulate analysis. I take issue on two points: 1 - Iran does not have the complicated and complex technological capacity required to deliver a nuclear weapon from a distance. They would have to load it on a conventional bomber and actually fly over Israeli airspace and drop it. We both know that is not going to happen. They can't exactly deliver it via Hizbollah or Hamas because Israel controls that airspace as well. Just so you know, the club that has the sophisticated delivery capacity to which I am referring is much, much smaller than the actual nuclear club. Which leads me to the other point you made with which I am in dispute: no nuclear attack upon Tel Aviv anytime soon -- although Israel can survive a first strike, in any event. Iran could not survive even a retaliatory (possibly lesser) strike. But I agree with you that the longer Israel delays, the tougher the job will be. Israel should have learned from eight years of failed attempts to resolve the Iraqi nuclear threat through diplomacy and sanctions. It didn't work, and Israel had to neutralize Osirac. I don't think any thing will be different with respect to Iran's nuclear threat, so time's a'wasting.
3. TALKBACK NUMBER 1 and 2.
ORAO STRANKA. ,   TSARIGRAD U SRBIA.   (05.21.09)
AN ATTACK AGAINST IRANS NUCLEAR FACILITIES IS NOT AN EASY TASK. ONE HAS TO WIPE OUT BOTH THEIR AIR PROTECTION AGAINST AIRCRAFT, AT AL OF THEIR LONG RANGE BALLISTIC MISSILE SITES, AND THE MISSILES ITSELF, SIMULTANEOUSLY, IN ORDER TO PREVENT A RETALIATORY STRIKE FROM IRAN WITH THOSE MISSILES. THEN YOU CAN TAKE THE NUCLEAR FACILITIES AND SITES ON. AND YOU ARE BOTH RIGHT, THE US HAS BEEN SITTING IDLE LIKE IN THE CASE WITH NORTH KOREA, AND CAN NOW EVEN WITH A MILITARY STRIKE NOT STOP IRAN FROM ACHIEVING NUCES, ONLY HINDER THEM A COUPLE OF YEARS. BUT OF COURSE THE WORD OF JEHOVAH MUST BE FULLFILLED CONSERNING IRAN, HESEKIEL CHAPTER 38-39. IF THE US HAD DONE THE RIGHT THING YEARS AGO, THE PROPHESY WOULD HAVE FAILED. JEHOVAH HAS THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS, Orao.
