31. To PM Brown. Thanks For Sharing.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (05.23.09)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I very much appreciate that. BTW I wonder whether President Ahmadinejad could also write such a heart-touching article. I wonder whether he is even capable of expressing deep thoughts in a civilized way.
32. To: No. 28
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (05.23.09)

Hugh Cares ,   Safed Israel   (05.23.09)
Meaningless but nice nevertheless.
34. Auschwiz is no excuse, Zionism Will Be Dismantled
Jake The Realist ,   Zion   (05.23.09)
By ALL MEANS NECESSARY! Like the British And french colonies of the past, Palestine will be returned to its original Palestinian owners sooner or later. That is as it should be
35. Just remember your words.
Shimon ,   Cincinnati, USA   (05.23.09)
The next time you consider screwing us over from fear of the Arabs.
36. The power of inaction
eh-oop ,   UK   (05.23.09)
Dear Mr Brown. I strongly agree that we must teach our children that they have been endowed with free will and about the obligation that goes with it. But there is a different belief system whose adherents include hundreds of millions of children. They are taught that free will is dangerous. They are taught that the road to paradise is a matter of submission. They are taught that all those who do not share their belief system are inferior and exploitable. They are taught that it is predetermined that they will triumph over all others, with the consequences now known to everyone from the Hamas charter. And experience teaches them that western governments, including yours, progressively capitulate to their demands, bringing closer the time of their ultimate triumph. You see, Mr. Brown, whatever one's perspective may be, inaction speaks louder than words.
37. No apology?
Moshe Sternlight ,   London, England   (05.23.09)
Dear Mr Prime Minister, Where is the apology for Britains unwillingness to allow asylum to the millions that perished (aside from the Kindertransport), into England or British controlled Palestine, and how about a pledge, that if ever G-d forbid a need arose in the future, the Jews would find in Britain a true friend, welcoming them with open arms?
38. #1 the narrative of the Masada was a myth himself
observer   (05.23.09)
all we know about Josephus Flavius came from Flavius himself. He was, by his own account, a traitor and turncoat who defected to the Roman side during the Jewish rebellion. Could that traitor bring fair testimony? What proof you have about his credibility? the planted palm seed has been grown after 200 years? or proven Roman skeleton confused with Jewish ones? or neatly cut plait of hairs that would never had been Jewish? or the Sicarii assassins who killed the Jewish inhabitants of Ein Gedi, before fleeing to the Masada with innocents' food. They never fought the Romans.
39. was #23 mine? of course!
observer   (05.23.09)
40. Pnina #14 Study of Shoah
Mickey ,   Sydney Australia   (05.24.09)
Britain has not stopped the study of the Shoah in schools. There was an email going around that they had. this was completely false. Study of the Shoah is compulsory in British schools. Check the website of the UK Education Department
41. Holocaust studies in the UK
Mickey ans#17 Jennie ,   Sydney australia   (05.24.09)
The UK has not banned study of the holocaust. See my answer to #14. Holocaust studies are compulsory in British schools. The email that went around stating that Holocaust studies are banned in The UK is completely false
42. If you didn`t get it yet...
davis ,   austria   (05.24.09)
the Jewish people are in Eretz Yisrael to stay forever!
43. With all due respect Prime Minister Brown
Mike Jefferson ,   Washington, D.C.   (05.24.09)
You've misunderstood and mistaken the true lesson of the Shoah; we honor the dead by celebrating life and we defeat hate by confronting evil. Had, the world powers initially confronted the evils of the Nazi regime instead of adopting a policy of appeasement, fewer people would have died in this horrific conflict. Think about that when you excuse the ethnic cleansing in Darfur, Afghanistan, or the evils being perpetrated by the 21st century equivalent of Nazism - Islamofascism.
44. Gordon Brown "The Lesson"
Dorothy Naor ,   Herzliah, Israel   (05.24.09)
"we honor the dead by celebrating life; and we defeat hate by choosing hope." Brown should also realize that so also say numerous Palestinians--including villagers whose lands are daily being stolen by Israel, and families whose loved one or ones have been killed or imprisoned by Israeli forces. Many of these Palestinians do not understand how a people that itself had been so despised and inhumanely treated could do such horrible things to another people. The means of ethnic cleansing are not restricted to gas chambers and ovens. Israel's criterion of a Jewish state is not different from the Nazi's for a pure Arian state. And Israel's aim towards the Palestinians is the same as the Nazis towards the Jews--ethnic cleansing--only its means differ.
45. By all means
#34 Jake from Mickey ,   Sydney Australia   (05.24.09)
It has already been returned to its original owners; the Jews!
46. thank you (give the man some respect!!)
omri   (05.24.09)
Thank you Mr. Brown for your words. All you ther commenters - have some respect for the subject matter and keep your (somewhat primitive) political views out of it!!!!!!
47. #38 - observer, This isn't about 'narrative'...
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (05.24.09)
... you small-minded cretin, it's about historical fact as proven by archaeology. There is more evidence that the Romans laid siege to the Jewish resistance in Masada than there is that your pedophile "prophet" Mo ever existed. On that same note, there is also more evidence that 6,000,000 Jews were killed in the Holocaust than there is that that very same Mo dictated the Qur'an. We can argue about this all day, khalili, but I have better things to do than sit and debate logic to a person who believes 2+2=5...
48. #47 does ur response mean that you agree on the 6 questions?
observer   (05.25.09)

johnatahn lowui ,   kenya   (05.25.09)
