Since you live in the UK and are obviously not Israeli, I doubt you know much about Israel's military history. I don't understand why we should try so hard to avoid an all out war with Iran. They are the world's biggest sponsor of terrorism. If we weaken Iran, we weaken global Islamic terrorism for sure. It is in big, conventional wars we have triumphed in the past, whereas low-intensity terrorism and propaganda is what have caused the most damage to Israel. If Iran retaliates from an Israeli attack, Iran will go for as much blood shed as possible, whereas Israel will go for as many strategic targets as possible. Our army is tired of policing Palestinians. That's not what we were originally trained for. If we must fight, this is the combat conditions we have been dreaming about since the six day war.
