2. Song for Gaza? What a joke!
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (05.23.09)
So, Annas Allaf/Michael Heart, daily rockets on civilians are all right, blowing up buses full of school children is just fine, murdering human beings not for what they've done, but simply for who or what they are is rewarded with a trip to paradise, etc. I suggest that you take a good look at your friends, the Gazans. Their miserable circumstances are the end result of their own murderous ambition to waste their lives on the destruction of someone else, because they want the wealth of those others without working for it. In l948 the Israelis started out with the same lousy geography as the Palis. Yet, look what the Jews did in 61 years and compare that to the "accomplishments" of the Palis. If you don't count the longest-running refugee camps in the history of humanity, what exactly do the Palis have to show for billions and billions in hand-outs? Maybe your song is correct in that Gazans won't go down, because, other than crawling through tunnels like rats to smuggle who knows what, they can't go any lower. Perhaps your next creation should be about the unforgettable sight of Gazans dancing in the streets on hearing of the deaths at the WTC on 9-11. The Palis had their chance in l948, they chose to blow it and now blame Israel for the consequences of that choice. Since all that blaming hasn't improved their situation one iota in 61 years, maybe somebody should show them how to get from point A to point B instead of feeding into their schizoid delusions. I am, btw. an Amercian by choice, I subscribe to no religion and I think your song is a hypocritical diatribe. If you actually believe its nonsense, I can only feel sorry for you. Then again, living in California too long has been known to cloud some people's sense of reality......

6. To #4
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (05.24.09)
He's of Syrian descent. There's nothing wrong with that, but I wonder how long he'd last in Gaza other than for publicity. http://www.rimeallaf.com/doc/mhviva.pdf

9. This article is just like Arutz 7's of last year
qwerty ,   jerusalem   (05.25.09)
Hey, looks familiar! almost like the Arutz 7 article from last year that in fact included even more pop stars singing about Jerusalem. Check out the original Jerusalem Mega Mix here: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Radio/News.aspx/156 But, hey, why argue about celebrating the holy city? There's enough room for many Israeli media outlets.
10. Song for Gaza - my 2 cents
Jonathan ,   USA   (10.13.09)
I just found this forum while randomly researching the Gaza war. I am familiar with Michael Heart's song for Gaza (it was forwarded to me multiple times, by many people, since January, during the Gaza war)... I always find it amazing.. (I would even say comical, if this topic wasn't so tragic), how people like M. Hartley and Birdi (who posted their comments on this forum thread) could think the way they think. Is it complete ignorance of the true facts? Or is it delusion? Maybe a little of both? Maybe they only get their facts from Fox news, or CNN Atlanta (as opposed to CNN international). In other words, maybe they only get the biased version of the news... and not the true news. Regarding M. Hartley's comments about how far the Israelis have come in the past 61 years... are you not aware that the USA has been funding Israel with literally BILLIONS of dollars every year? ... while the Palestinians got almost nothing, from anyone? Food for thought. One more point I'd like to make. Have you asked yourself why the Palestinians have been firing home made rockets into Israel? Of course not. Here's why.... Israel has kept Gaza under siege for almost 2 years, stopping the inflow of food, medicine and everything else. That is a criminal act in itself. Furthermore, Israel is an occupational power, which has illegally taken possession of lands that do not belong to it. The international community all agrees on this (U.N., etc). If Israel wants to stop getting attacked by these home made rockets... then it's simple. Get out of the occupied land. Those people firing rockets at Israel are stupid in my opinion, granted... but they are also freedom fighters, fighting for the return of their land... they are not terrorists. For 61 years, Israel has been ignoring international laws, violating U.N. resolutions, etc. And yet, as of this writing, Israel is accusing Iran of trying to possess nuclear weapons... while nobody is saying anything about Israel's own nuclear arsenal. Talk about hypocrisy! Want some more info? How about this... As of right now, Israel is doing everything in its power to discredit a perfectly valid U.N. report about war crimes committed by Israel and Hamas, in Gaza. Oh, by the way... the report commission was conducted by a zionist jew (Mr. Goldstone). Anybody see what's wrong with this picture? And by the way... these are all facts that are UNDISPUTED. Just do the research online. It's plain and clear. I am not stating any opinions here whatsoever (except for the opinion that Israel should consider leaving the lands it does not legally own). Regarding Michael Heart's song for Gaza... I think it's very easy to attack someone's art, while hiding behind a screen name on the internet. From what I understand, that song ("We Will Not Go Down") has spread around the world quickly, and was chanted in many demonstrations all over Europe, Australia... and even in the U.S. Are all those people all wrong too? Good question to ask yourselves. Oh... by the way... I'm an American too. Proud of my country.... but very embarrassed by our foreign policy. It's no wonder the U.S. is viewed in such a negative way by the international community these days.
11. Afterthought on Gaza war
Jonathan ,   USA   (10.13.09)
One more afterthought... If there is anyone reading this forum, who still thinks that Israel was right in destroying Gaza... I encourage you to watch this video here below. As a matter of fact, I DARE you to watch it until the end. You might learn the real truth. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjBttx6Gd2c&feature=player_embedded
