32. The OIC(Organization of the Islamic Conference) is Durban II
L ,   Israel   (05.24.09)
Since so many countries boycotted or threatened to boycott "Durban II" they had to revise their openly anti-Israel focus (despite Ahmedinejad's speech plowing on ahead), stifling it in order to gain an ear on other issues, and attempting to maintain the UN's false face of neutrality. So...permanent member of the UN, (the UN Human Rights Council, yet) the OIC, runs amok in its latest assembly in Damascus, Syria (a super human rights violator if ever there was one)-- pointing the finger of blame for all the world's evils at Israel. The OIC's Turkish Secretary General himself said at the conference opening 3 days ago: "We are filled with sorrow, anguish, and helplessness, as we look at the Palestinian issue, the core issue of the Muslim world, and its relentless ramifications of continued injustice and arrogance, without being able to do anything meaningful to resolve it." If you read the other Ynet articles today about Russia's FM Lavrov attending the same conference and meeting with Hamas there, you'll see that they are doing their best to put their minds and resources together to find that something "meaningful to resolve it" (put it all together with Ynet's other articles on Russia's deal to supply Jordan with Nuke power now and visiting Lebanon tomorrow and I think we're getting the picture). Scary, hm? For more on the OIC, you can google or read this for a quick fill-in: http://www.city-journal.org/2009/19_2_UN-human-rights-council.html
