Hana ,   Jerusalem   (05.27.09)
"Usual Arab responses"? Look at this, before automatic siding with Der Spiegel, please... http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/871236.html
4. lies, lies, lies, and more lies,Islamic style
pedro   (05.27.09)
Like most arabs today, and certainly for Hezbullah's king, denial comes with each breath; it's better than fresh air --- for them it's " au naturel ". Not much different than Arafat, the master of deceit; saying one thing to the stupid West , and of course cursing them with the jews in arabic, while laughing all the way to " HIS " private bank....... Or Saddam, the mother of all liers; or haniyeh, the chief thug of Gaza; or Syria's Assad swearing on the koran " we did not build a nuclear facility " only to raze it quickly after it's destruction; or Ahmadino, Iran's pygmy " no atomic bomb - no crimes or gays in Iran " That what Islam does to the sons of the desert. --- Too much sun!
5. to #3 give me much more reliable source
ghostq   (05.27.09)
this biest left wing journalism do not reflect reality, the journalists make their own opinions in most of the articles, get me some more objective info.
6. To #3
SMelmoth   (05.27.09)
The last place I am going to look for anything approaching objectivity is in Haaretz, which hates Israel almost as much as the Arabs. Two of their most prolific writers are apparently sorry they weren't born Palestinians, and the entire editorial board seems bent on undermining the public's faith in the country's elected officials. The usual Arab responses are just that, what they always say, "the Jews are behind it all," regardless of what "it" is.
7. Implacably impecable Intelligence
Gideon Reader   (05.27.09)
The Squarehead scribbler is right on the kesef. He got the facts directly from Sy Hersh, and it was positively confirmed by Barry Chermish. What more can anyone want?
8. Question is - when will UNIFIL become a target
William ,   Israel   (05.27.09)
by Hizbullah? Probably Day +1 after they win in elections.
9. #3 - I read the article (though I dispise Haaretz subjective
William ,   Israel   (05.27.09)
I side with Der Spiegel now because the article, and this supposed spy, all used real intelligence to make their claims, not lies as it appears daily in the Arab media. Further, after reading the Haaretz article I couldn't be prouder of Israel and long for days of a strong Mossad. If your reference to the Haaretz article was to undermine Der Spiegel's credibility and bolster Hizbullah, it did quite the opposite. Thank you.
10. #3 I fail to understand the relevance.
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (05.27.09)
Unless, of course, you imply that there having been one journalist who was recruited by German Intelligence during his career (and he didn't work for Der Spiegel, either), then anyone who says something "not left-wing" or "against an Arab" is in fact a spy. Old news. And pointless news at that - Der Spiegel actually went as far as to call Wilhelm Dietl a traitor, silly as that was.
