33. Good Ending
Zohan ,   Tel Aviv   (05.29.09)
Good thing he was killed or Hamas would kidnap IDF to bail him out Good thing Hamas blamed PA's co-operation, now that have a revenge on their brothers. So, keep up the good work until the last of Hamas is killed
34. Bravo, Israel
Cameron ,   USA   (05.29.09)
Debt owed, debt collected.
35. Hamas demands....
William ,   Israel   (05.29.09)
"demands that the PA stop all of its attempts at harming the resistance and allow the Palestinian warriors to protect themselves and their people" Right...to protect THEIR people, but the average Palestinian can go screw themselves, apparently. Nice govt you guys voted in....
36. Hamas' words just show what compulsive liars they are
Zvi   (05.29.09)
They can't even think sanely: "The targeted killing is a new crime against a leader who weakened the Zionist enemy with operations against its soldiers," They admit that the guy is a gunman. Then, in the same sentence, they call it a crime when Israel shoots back at the gunman. For Hamas, such "doublethink" is not only common but ubiquitous, and this is extremely unhealthy. These guys are compulsive liars, to the extent that they don't even know they are lying.
37. #28 Any sources to back up your claims, ever?
better observer   (05.29.09)
always assenine comments, totally irrelevant and based on nothing, no evidence, just a plain liar to spread disinformation to create confusion like the Nazis did and their heirs, the Muslims, do today. if you do do have credible information, then you are a collaborator, since you must have known about this beforehand. In this case you are already followed by Shabak, Magav and Sayeret Matkal, and your day is coming too. Kul Kalb Biji Yomo
38. #28 knows too much and informed on him
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (05.29.09)
therefore Hamas swearing revenge applies to #28 too where is #28 with family going to hide now since anonymity is not an obstacle for Hamas knee breakers and contract killers
39. Don't Get This Revenge Thing-Somebody Explain
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (05.29.09)
ok so this terrorist spends 14 years slaughtering Israeli women and children and Israel kills him...now they want revenge? For what? Were they expecting a medal?
40. too funny
Noor ,   Palestine   (05.29.09)
For every Hamas figure that's killed, there are ten Palestinians waiting to fill his place. Sorry, Israel, but targetted assassinations will not 1) bring peace 2) make you more secure 3) store deterrence 4) eliminate Hamas.
41. Destroy Hamas!
Dave Ronen   (05.29.09)
Hamas’s refusal to even pretend that it is willing to live at peace with Israel is what distinguishes it from Fatah. And the Palestinians’ embrace of Hamas after Israel withdrew from Gaza demonstrated that the withdrawal increased the popularity of the prospect of continuous war against Israel among the Palestinians. There should be no truce with Hamas and the pressure should remain heavy. Israel should make no concessions : You do not talk to terrorists, you fight and defeat them. Although the legal use of capital punishment is generally decreasing around the world, individuals or groups deemed threatening—or even simply "undesirable"—to a government may nevertheless be targeted. There is possibility is for overtly uniformed security forces to punish a victim, but under circumstances that make it appear as self-defense, such as by planting recently-fired weapons near the body. If it is inevitable to probe, a military body makes the probe and does not find fault in its own conduct. Article 27 of the Fourth Geneva Convention: Protected persons are entitled, in all circumstances, to respect for their persons, their honour, their family rights, their religious convictions and practices, and their manners and customs. They shall at all times be humanely treated, and shall be protected especially against all acts of violence or threats thereof and against insults and public curiosity. Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “[e]very one has the right to life, liberty and security of person”. Article 6 (1) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of 1966 states that “[e]very human being has the inherent right to life”. Article 3 of the 4th Geneva Convention: Persons taking no active part in the hostilities, including members of armed forces who have laid down their arms and those placed hors de combat by sickness, wounds, detention, or any other cause, shall in all circumstances be treated humanely, without any adverse distinction founded on race, color, religion or faith, sex, birth or wealth.
45. why after 14 years? to undermine PA?
observer   (05.29.09)
((In the 1990s, the IDF demolished his home due to his involvement in terror attacks.)) you mean that house demolition has not deterred him, but still the IDF has the will and whim of house demolition. That is an extreme form of hypocrisy than a treacherous act against Abbas.
46. #40
SMelmoth   (05.29.09)
You have that wrong. It should be, "For every Hamas terrorist-murderer killed, there are 10 other moronic terrorist murderers anxious to fill his place." Which is fine, we will kill those 10 too. What will bring peace, rolling over and letting you kill us all? Read your Tacitus, ubi vastitudinem faciunt pacem appellant. No way!

48. Still nothing to show for #44, yet mouthing off like an old
better observer   (05.29.09)
Lady stick your morality where the sun doesn't shine. In this war morality is irrelevant when survival of the ancient Jewish people's homeland is at stake. To win it against the bloodthirsty Jihadis, Jews must be much less moral than they are now. This is how conflicts are settled in the Middle East and Peace is made. There is no way around it, no available shortcuts possible. Foolishly believing and acting otherwise prolongs the conflict and creates many more innocent victims. Only someone who is unfamiliar with Middle East reality would be so naive to disagree. Ask in Arabic any Arab who is perfectly honest with foreigners and the proof is there. Read the Lebanese Shia Prof. Fouad Ajami books "The Dream Palace of the Arabs," "The Arab Predicament" and others to get a jump start on your education. You can run but you cannot hide from Middle East mentality, it will always come back to bite you. Kul Kalb Biji Yomo
49. Indeed very funny #40, and you are a COWARD
Ruon ,   F(r)a(n)kenstine   (05.29.09)
It is the opposite, for every terrorist killed by Israel 10 others quit thinking about joining Jihad. If Israel didn't go after them and eliminate them there will be many more wanting to join in the riskless celebration of of killing Jews. Itbach al Yahoud, sounds familiar to you? The average Arab likes talking a lot and believes in fantasy, but does it only when it is easy and there are no possible personal consequences. As a matter of fact very few Arabs have the courage to face a powerful opponent, although they may brag about wanting to do it. The proof that you are a liar is that you do not join to become a terrorist or a suicide bomber, and nothing will change that in the future. Big Coward!
50. observer
Stephane   (05.29.09)
Is it just me? I never unsderstand this person's comments. They seem disconnected to the topic and I do not know which side he is on. Why is he/she "an observer" not a "do-er"? WHy hide behind such incognito? I think he wants to appear smart, but appears spacey or whacko.
