5. Smart Question #1 ... Why Spy Quotes?
PunditRich ,   Wisconsin, USA   (05.30.09)
6. Kadish and Pollard
V.R. Sonti ,   USA   (05.30.09)
Both are victims of antisemitic racists in the US Government ans society at large. Both were defending the long-term interests and security of the US AND Israe. G_d Bless them.
7. #6 You're the racist
Aharon   (05.30.09)
Why should Americans tolerate spying on them? Taking information from someone without their permission is called stealing. Taking classified information from one government without their approval, and providing it to another, is a comparable crime, only of a far greater magnitude with potential ramifications for millions of people. If Israel wanted to cooperate on shared interests with the US, that should have been done through bilateral agreements, with their consent. But it is racist and arrogant of you to think that we may simply ASSUME that we have common interests, without asking, and then act on that false assumption by stealing information. The worst part about your talkback is your self-righteous attitude - trying to make it sound as though we are doing the Americans a favour by stealing from them and they are stupid for not seeing it. Please, do me a favour and be quiet.
8. if Bush and Republicans were still in
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (05.30.09)
authority he woulda got the chair.
9. HE IS COMPLETELY INNOCENT AND HERE IS WHY.
James ,   New York ,USA   (05.30.09)
Because it was done with a plea agreeement. Basically, you are threatened to have your life ruined and become ruined financially only to defend yourself with competent and expensive lawyers unless you accept a plea agreement recognising falsely your culpability!!! As there is always a possibility that justice is not done and found and someone is accused innocently, as he is over 80 years old, he decided to accuse himself even though he is likely to be innocent. What is the point at his age to spend a fortune in lawyers only to defend himself for a crime he did not commit in the first place, even though he is fully innocent!!! So it is a win-win. The prosecutors have another "proof" that a Jew has been a pawn of Israel and has betrayed the USA and the accused avoid ruining himself in defending himself with competent lawyers and in headaches just to waste years of one's life only to fight the case in court!!!!!
10. Uh yup #9 is 100% correct Good Job!!
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (05.30.09)
11. the question is as jews are we ready to betray our country
dovdevan ,   paris,france   (05.30.09)
the answer is quite complex ! it depands on your link with the sate of ISrael and the links you ve got with your own country ! if you finish like pollard who was at the end betrayed by Israel sure the answer is no ! pollard wanted a kind of recognition that he helped Israel something that Israel couldn't give him !
12. No 4 ... Wouldn't that be a dilemma?
Abu Nidhal ,   Hiding   (05.30.09)
13. Rami, Israel is no friend, trust me.
Noor ,   Palestine   (05.30.09)
It's more like a financial parasite sucking the blood and money out of its host (America). If it were a real friend, it would have assisted the US in sending its troops to help in Iraq or Afghanistan. The US speaks so much about the importance of the security of Israel, yet when it comes to Iraq and Afghanistan, countries it sees as fronts on the "global war on terror," Israel simply sits there waiting for America to hand over the aid to kill more people. All they want are weapons and money, and they get it all at the expense of the US taxpayers. US sponsoring terror at its best!
14. WOW, Sarah! Youre actually reasonable for once!
Noor ,   Palestine   (05.30.09)
I bet if it were an old arab man, he would be thrown in jail forever.
15. #13 ... Or is it only your dire wish, Noor?
Homophobe ,   Jerusalem   (05.30.09)
The relation between the State of Israel and the USA is strategic, not romantic as you think or wish it to be. It is based on a long long history of mutual values and interests. With all respect to all your TBs you and your friend and all the video you make on Youtube, you cannot just destroy the US-Israel alliance. It is way too hard for you. An American knows well what is an Israeli and what is an Arab, call it racism, call it prejudice, this the way it is. Cheers.
16. To: No. 14
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (05.30.09)
If he were to spy against the United States, yes. If he were to spy against Israel, yes. No dilemma, there.
17. To: No. 12
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (05.30.09)
No, it wouldn't.
18. Then why not toss araB Nakba fans into the slammer?
Brenda   (05.30.09)
19. #15
Noor ,   Palestine   (05.31.09)
Trust me, US-Israel ties will shatter when America breaks and has no more money left. This will be the end of Israel. It's only a matter of time. Israel cant fight on its own! BTW, if you really think American leaders and politicians care about the Jews, they really dont. It's all about the money, though, which fuels their campaigns!
20. why is this and the jane harman story barely covered ...
arik ,   usa   (05.31.09)
world media? I'm not inclined to conspiracy theories, but I find it strange that these stories have not received greater prominence at least here in the US...
21. isnt it time to show compassion to pollard
zionist forever   (05.31.09)
Jonathan Pollard has been in jail for 22 years now he didn't get any compassionate get out of jail free card. He was eligable to apply for parole 1995. Bill Clinton promised to give him a presidential pardon but thanks to influence from the US inteligence services who felt humiliated over what happened Clinton never gave him that promised pardon. There was hope Bush would pardon him but again it didn't happen. The man has been in jail 22 years I think he has paid the price for his crime Time for Obama to show a little compassion and release Pollard who has already missed the best years of his life. Time to release him and let him emigrate to Israel live out a quiet life. FREE JONATHAN POLLARD NOW
22. #21 - Somehow I don't think he would live out a quiet life..
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (05.31.09)
He would probably go into politics were he to settle here. Just a feeling.
