This is probably another PR compaign by Abbas to show how his forces that were routed in Gaza can handle Hamas in Judea and Samaria.
The truth is that if it wasn't for IDF, Judea and Samaria would fall under Hamas as Gaza did when Israel withdrew it forces and destroyed the Jewish communities in Gaza.

abbas is getting a lot of donation money for the west bank from the west9mainly USA) once Hamas will take controll on the west bank the donation money will recline dramaticaly, since the UN declared it as a terror org in the 90's there will be no donations like before and the fate of the west bank will be much like Gaza, if you want to shoot your own foot and cry about it later on be my guest. Israel, surely they would see the error of their ways and reconcile with fatah and then they could all resolve the differences with Israel and everyone would live happily ever after.
Thankfully obumma has put north koreas nukes and irans nukes to the side and is taking the time to tell Israel where they should not build.
Without such help, Israel might put up a building in the wrong place.

according to several agreements the plo signed, he has to disarm the extremists groups.
however his own fatah is also an extremist group.
he is not doing this actions because of his obligation but to strenghten his power in the westbank., where he is still ruling. although since january he shouldnt be there anymore.
