32. Kaniuk brings shame to his relatives.
Steve   (06.07.09)
Yoram Kaniuk wrote: "Once upon a time, a settler called me a “Nazi” as well. It happened a long time ago, when this term was new in the country. I attempted to explain to him that the Shoah indeed happened, and that 60 of my relatives died in one day, in one pit, in one forest in Galicia. In response, he called me a traitor." Jews do not expel Jews from our land. Mr. Kaniuk, you bring shame to your 60 reatives who died in one day, in one pit. Shame on you.
33. he was right ,were all doomed because of you
yaqov ,   jer, is   (06.07.09)
the war that comes comes because the world must fight you
34. Haredim also call police "Nazis"
michal ,   jerusalem israel   (06.07.09)
Why do we turn a blind eye to Haredim who just yesterday called the police "Nazis" in an extremely violent demonstration in the stat'es capital?
35. How many leftist Jews call Israel a Nazi state every day???
Michael ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.07.09)
Here in Toronto there was a Jews against Israel group calling Israel's actions Nazi-like during Operation Cast led. Same thing happens within Israel every day among the same similar minded groups of far-leftist Jews. Never saw a YNET article on that.
36. as a rightist and settler i criticize "nazi" statements.
uli ,   jerusalem   (06.07.09)
I live in a settlement, am a rightist and believe that settlements are in israelis interest, although all of our sector should never forget that Israel has to only jewish army in the world and sadly seemingly the only army that would ever defend jewish lives from an islamic onslaught. the IDF causes the state of israel (no need to mention it's huge advantages for us religious jews) and to fight against the only security that saves us from masscare is not well thought and even ugly. Of course we should protest and remind the state that they are doing a great failure, but still this is our state and it protects us in our country, so don't call them nazis! that's not fair.
37. One Does Not Have To Be A Goy To Be
Lawrence ,   Safed Israel   (06.07.09)
A Nazi.Anybody who expels innocent Jews from their homes by force and with threats qualifies.
38. The Haredim on Shabbat were calling the police Nazis too.
JO   (06.07.09)
Meant to provoke anger, those who use such tactics have sunk to the depths.
39. "should prompt a long prison term"?
Josh   (06.07.09)
Take credit where it is due. If one is behaving like as Nazi, they should be pointed to and it should be said. When people jump out of their car in a traffic dispute and pick up a tire iron, they should get a long prison term. A life goes on the line in every incident and if not taken seriously the consequences are that someone may not defend themselves when they should have thinking he is only posturing. Enough with the mind control rhetoric for the benifit of politics and start enforcing the laws we do have in Israel for a civilized nation. Next we will have forced Rabim vigils?
40. If it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck and it
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.07.09)
quacks like a duck, it is a duck. If the people in uniform act like they did in Amona, then the label "nazi" is a valid charge.
41. It could be funny ...
berlonski ,   Berlin   (06.07.09)
... if it wasn't so sad. The same people who can tell you everything about what happened 3.000 years ago are not able to distinguish between what Nazis did 70 years ago and what the IDF does today. Maybe there is a difference between "expelling Jews from their homes" and killing Jews by millions??? And if even the Israeli government is called anti-semitic now, I think the real anti-semites can comfortably lean back and rejoice.

43. Let's reverse the charge and say this
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (06.07.09)
B"H I have family perished in the Shoa and I dare reverse the charge and I dare say this, watch my lips: failing to call a spade a spade, a Nazi a Nazi, a pogrom a pogrom, a “let’s send them damn settlers to jail” an anti-Jewish fool, is licensing and aiding the present-day perpetrator: the “secular Jew”. Let us let them know exactly what they are, simple soldier on the field or distinguished general in his ivory tower may he be. Why? Because Jews follow G-d and His Law for the Jews and Nazis follow state orders to destroy Jews in the name of the "law" of the land. Be aware: Hi*ler in Germany was perfectly legal, Ferdinand and Isabella in Spain were perfectly legal. The law of the land never guarantees morality. It's as simple as that. Tell me who you follow and I tell you what you are. Simplistic? Yes. Sharp? Yes. Unjustified? No. Why not? Because it is time to choose. Either you are with the Jews or you are with the nations. There is no middle ground now. Hashem is separating the mordechais from the ones who went to participate in the banquette of King Ahasuerus, the good from the bad and if there are secular Jews, they are advised to be less secular and more Jews. The time to have it both ways is over.
44. But it is okay for leftists to call their opponents names...
steve ,   haifa   (06.07.09)
THAT is freedom of speech! Even when the leftists are outright traitors!
45. rather be called
m ,   jerusalem   (06.07.09)
i would rather be called a nazi than a settler anyday. Israeli soldiers are sent to protect these degenerates and what do they get in return... a whole bunch of mouthing off from a whole mongo community. In my opinion as an israeli tax payer take the soldiers away from the settlements and let them protect themselves on shabat and all other days of the week. They wouldn't last 2 hours. The arab community would wipe them off the face of the earth real quick. They need to start showing respect for the soldiers that are gaurding their freedom.
46. Ah yes, Thought Police...author must be Marxist
meany   (06.07.09)
I called you a name, so you put me in jail? Waaaaaaaa....cries the baby. If I give you a dirty look, then what?!This is incredulous.... REAL threats emerge from Iran, the USA, both North and South, but this guy wants to imprison some noisy protestors? Democracy at work!
47. No bans
Brad ,   USA   (06.08.09)
It's a mistake to ban speech. Bad speech, lying speech, offending speech, or whatever, should be answered with more speech. Like, for instance, the truth. Speech bans give rise to thought control, which give tyrants (which always arise), more tools to control their populations. Another reason not to ban speech is that it's never enforced equally. An indication of this is the fact that Jordanian muslims, and Syrian muslims call Jews Nazi's, and that's OK. But the Nobel Peace Prize was given to, the murderer, Yasser Arafat, who's uncle was a Grand Mufti, and a close ally of Adolf Hitler. The truth will always win, as long as there is someone to speak it.
48. #45 I agree
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (06.08.09)
Israeli combat soldiers should be allowed to pick where they will guard. The Jewish villages of Judea and Samaria will be protected by Israel's finest. The cappucino bars of Tel Aviv will have a few stoned protestors calling for the end of occupation of Haifa and Yafo.
49. lorri
kmagendavid ,   oz   (06.08.09)
lorri, you sound like a complete and utter fool. one - you agree that the holocaust happened! well thanks for your confidence. nazi is a harsh term that should never be used except in the context of WWII. and to sign your patheitc message "cheers" - yes "cheers' to such a serious and heavy topic
50. 45 Amen to that!
Israel   (06.08.09)
51. Yawn to No. 19
