Now lock up the greedy bastard and throw away the key. Who cares that he did't sleep at night? He stole money from the State of Israel. Lock the pig up for a long long time.
2. You do realise this is the OTHER Histadrut...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (06.08.09)
...the one that was formed as an alternative to the socialist one. I mean I know that the Israelis know the difference, but I'm not sure about all of the foreign readers of ynetnews.
3. #1 -- now I hope they can get him for...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (06.08.09)
...stealing money from the funds for HS students' trips to Poland!
4. We Need A Screening Process
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (06.08.09)
How could a person like this have ever been appointed a minister in the Israeli government? What does this say about the person who appointed him to such a high and responsible position? Did not anyone know of this man's character and did not anyone at least suspect that he had such a problematic past? Why do we not have a screening process which filters out the crooks before they become Ministers of the Treasury and Prime Ministers? Jobs of far lesser impact require far greater scrutiny before a candidate can be accepted to the position - why not the government? This Hirschsohn affair, as with the other high profile trials and suspicions we have had of late are more than a general sign of political immaturity, they are a gross Chillul Hashem. I am embarrassed.
5. Makes me wonder
Efrat ,   Israel   (06.08.09)
How many backhanders he has taken over the years - he got rich and others got poor. Bastard evil greedy man.

I believe this would be yet another Kadima criminal? The party of traitors, the party of men on the take, the party of shrill shrew Tsipimonster etc etc.
9. Finance Minister Convicted
Bruria ,   Haifa   (06.08.09)
Now, how about getting rid of the criminal Olmert! He sits in the US building his private business...and who is paying his expenses?? Perhaps there is a bit of justice in this country but not enough!
10. true justice - not yet!
a b_d ,   the far north   (06.08.09)
Isn't there anything more dramatic that could be done to this ____? Like, perhaps, flaying him in the public square? I did the math - he spent more on ONE MEAL than most families spend on a week's groceries. And now he's "falling apart"!!! Words fail me.....
11. hirschson

12. Our glorious Finance Minister!
tino   (06.08.09)
To # 4: How could a person like this ever been appointed a minister (finance at that) in the Israel Govt. ?.Very easy; by the same caliber of those recommending him for the job. Can you imagine who else we have in our "venerable" Govt. not yet "discovered"?.The cash register keeps ringing........! A new state of the art Knesset @ 2/3 of a $billion (on ice for now ), private bathrooms (only in America ?ha,ha!),Open expense acct. (I mean open),luxury cars galore (chauffeured of course), Gourmet cuisine, They have more bodyguards than soldiers in the Golani brigade, and more, TNTC. Now you understand why every Jew wants to be an MK.
