1. Zada couldn't have planned it alone
observer   (06.13.09)
Zada planed it beforehand, they didn't. Obviously, Zada couldn't have planned it that way without assistance. But, the AG made every effort to investigate those who reacted without preparation to the incident; to cover up a biased or incompetent system.
2. 12 men dealt with the problem in situ according to situation
observer   (06.13.09)
Most probably those lynch suspect knew that Zada's family lived in an apartment. Apartments' demolition is not included in the specialties of Israel judge system. The had to correct the would be injustice; they were but heroes partisans.
3. Let the court decide, what is the problem here?
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (06.13.09)
If there is the slightest doubt that the residents committed lynch the leftist Israeli courts will find them innocent. It seems that there must be strong evidence that indeed there was a lynch, and this is why the Arbs are so pumped up about the indictments.
4. deterrence
observer   (06.13.09)
what is the similarity between Shafram killing and Hebron Mosque massacre?; absolute similarity. The Arabs has 10+years free of such incidents, only because their reaction was instantaneous. Had they left the assailant, there wouldn't have been such degree of deterrence; after all Justice Done.
5. Just like it's ok for jews to...
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (06.13.09)
shoot and kill a palestenian killing innocent people, it should be ok for arabs to kill a jewish terrorist killing innocent people...
6. Let get this straight
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.13.09)
Arabs take a man from police custody and murder him and now they are the victims? Always the same with Arabs, they commit a crime and then blame somebody else.
7. #5 What you people don't seem to understand is that you
rachel ,   usa   (06.13.09)
can't take the law into your own hands .....
8. Arabs cant be allowed to take the law into their own hands!
3Jay ,   Israel   (06.13.09)
Zada was handcuffed after being apprehended, when these Israeli hating Arabs took the law into their own hands! There is no excuse, but blind hatred, and they must be dealt with accordingly! Zada would of served the rest of his life in jail if he hadnt of been lynched. What he did was horrible and uncalled for, but its Israeli law that he be allowed a fair trial! Not primeval lynching from the dark ages!
9. Lynching Jews is legal according to Shari'a
Raphael ,   Netanya   (06.13.09)
Zada was handcuffed and in custody. He was made harmless and there was no matter of self defense for Shfaram people, only animal revenge. In which country do they think they are living? If they are not happy with legal proceeding in a law abiding state, then move out!
10. Jewish Terrorist
AARON ,   Jerusalem - Israel   (06.13.09)
You mean lynching Jewish Terrorist not IDF soldier !!!!
11. #5 - Rami - agreed, however...
William ,   Israel   (06.13.09)
the situations are NOT the same. Absolutely the people of Shafram were victims when this guy got up and started shooting...absolutely! However, the minute the was disarmed and immobilized, that was the end of it. The fact that the crowd continued to beat him and lynched him - unarmed and handcuffed - is an act of cowardice, not self-defense. Conversely, we hear many times from Arabs about brutality of the IDF because they didn't arrest a Palestinian gunman bent on killing civilians, and dying himself, before being arrested. So Arabs want us to save their crazed racist gunmen who worship martyrdom, but they don't want to live by basic laws that make killing an unarmed person a crime. Is that what I should get from your post, Rami?
12. #1, #2 - Observer - Do you have proof he acted with others?
William ,   Israel   (06.13.09)
Despite your logic (if there is any) there really is no complex planning to taking a bus to an Arab neighborhood with a loaded gun, with the intention to hurt people. Perhaps you have it mistaken with Arab terrorists who go through the steps of making a martyr video, meeting with handlers to get a gun and sneaked into Israel, then given a target of children to kill. This guy was a soldier (hence the gun), he was able to board a bus freely (as we all do in Israel), and made his own choices. Considering the massive outcry of Israelis after this incident, I don't know who you're referring to as providing assistance. Regarding his family's home, why should they suffer for their son's dumb decisions? They didn't know ahead of time. Likewise to Pal terrorists who's families were found to be completely unaware - check the stats you'd find many homes NOT demolished.
13. #4 - Observer - "Arabs has 10+years free of such incidents"
William ,   Israel   (06.13.09)
...from Jews.... But Jews have had little more than a few weeks free of incidents from Arabs. To fairly compare the Hebron incident and others - let me educate you...after the Hebron incident, Israelis largely condemn what happened and outlawed the Kahane movement. After incidents of attacks on Jews, buildings are named after the terrorist, their families are visited as royalty, candies are handed out, and media programs exalt the lifestyle of martyrdom to innocent children. After the Shafram incident, Israelis largely condemn it, called for an investigation, and sent condolencenses, both by mail and in person, to the victims and the city.... yet calls from Israeli Arabs to destroy Israel, to support Pals despite their rockets on children, and push incitement go on, still with their political parties legal and paid by Israeli taxpayers. When Arabs take responsibility for themselves, then we;d have peace. Seeing the lynching of a 15-year-old a few days ago...I'm not hopeful.
14. Case of self-defense...
William ,   Israel   (06.13.09)
"The indictments must be dismissed because this was a case of self-defense," Zahalka said Must be "Arab self-defense"...the act of attacking and killing a person who is unarmed or designated a civilian because they are an easier target. The same claim made by Hamas when they rocket a kindergarten in Sderot - no doubt, those 5 year olds were up to no good. NOBODY supports Zada and his actions. NOBODY!! The people of Shafram were victims up until the point they began to lynch an unarmed, handcuffed man. Then they became murderers. I believe even the Koran makes the distinction, or am I wrong?
15. #9 then move out!, is that the only alternative?
observer   (06.13.09)
do you have proof from Quraan that Lynching Jews is legal? In any incident involving life of Muslim, non-Muslims or pagans, sharia law compel the Muslim to have a clear cut concordance with Quraan; in letters and in essence.
16. #12,13 I cant but agree wit you; leave the matter to Court
observer   (06.13.09)
In than part of the world full of and motivated by emotion, the truth ant usually be black & white contrasted. Zada was allegedly hand cuffed by the Police, but those guards failed to protect him. It is court who has to judge that the man was handcuffed and that was apparent to everyone and not put on after lynching. But one question which no one has answered: Why the guards were still IN the bus with the allegedly cuffed assailant till the lynch suspects gathered in? they didn't fire a single waring shot!
17. An observer justifies murder?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (06.13.09)
After Zada had been restrained and in police custody there was no justification for killing him. Those who did so are as guilty of murder as Zada was himself. I find it ironic that a self-proclaimed 'observer' fails to see this obvious fact.
18. The presumptions of Hazam
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (06.13.09)
B"H - Nehad Hazam: "He came in order to murder as many Arabs as possible" - ABY: How does Hazam know what we (Jews) don't know? Does he have access to info to which we don't have access to? How does Hazam know that Zada was not attacked on the bus? Or that someone tried to steal his uzi and he acted in self defense and thus rightfully? Just because then prime minister Sharon declared him a "Jewish terrorist" a few minutes after the news broke, that is before the conclusion of any investigation, doesn't mean that he IS a Jewish terrorist. Sharon also told us that the "disengagement" from Gaza would have bought us peace and security. But even if Zada were a Jewish terrorist (under police arrest), why does Hazam think his fellow citizens have a "right to lynch"? Such a heavily unbalanced person with deep prejudices have a right to be mayor in Israel? Why doesn't the Ministry of Interior allow such a situation to develop? In view of such incompetence, would it not be the case to put Shfaram under a commissioner?
19. Braude has not even been prosecuted, let alone punished.
Jacob ,   Cambridge, UK   (06.14.09)
The Israeli government is making no attempt to enforce its own laws when it comes to illegal Jewish settlements, and precious little when it comes to settler violence against Palestinians. It does not seem unreasonable for the Palestinians to think that when it comes to Jews committing crimes against Arabs, if they do not take the law into their own hands, Israel will not enforce it.
20. #17 so, u justify murder, negligence & recklessness
observer   (06.20.09)
and deny self-defense? I thought Israel had a competent Police to manage a shooting spree in a crowded bus in the Heart of Israel by dispatching a rapid intervention force. But, what we had is a bunch of apologists like you.
