1. Netanyahu is Irrelevant...
Nour ,   Palestine   (06.14.09)
Nothing short of an explicit committment to 2-state solution (effectively, past agreement), total halth of settlement expansion including natural growth, will be acceptable to the Palestinian side. Reason? Very simple, the issue of final borders needs to be addressed immediately. Nobody said Jews can't have an erection in Israel, just don't do it in our house (Palestine). Until the final borders are announced and recognized by all nations, and Palestine's right to exist recognized by Israel, all of this hogwash by Bibi is a worthless distraction. Personally I don't believe Bibi's speech will have anything new. He does not have the cojones to deliver the goods (stolen goods) while satisfying his racist right-wing government. Therefore common sense backers in Israel should mobillize to demand a govt. that believes in the 2-state solution. Im not talking of window-dressing like Livni's blood-thirstry government, but a total, final conviction that the 2-state solution is the only solution. Those calling for Jordan to become Palestine, save your breath, your proposal was rejected by Palestinian Arabs (the indingenes) and the whole world. Ethnic cleansing is not an option in the 21st century. The whole world is watching you.
2. Nothingyahu
Ben Gurion   (06.14.09)
"Why should the arabs make peace? If I was an arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: We have taken their country. They may perhaps forget in one or two generations time"
3. Obama Is A Paper Tiger
Adina Kutnicki, Israel   (06.14.09)
The PA Arabs needn't be so smug, nor should they pin their 'hopes' on Obama. Why? Because the US, especially under Obama the apologist, cannot even deal with belligerent threats from N Korea, and surely they will NOT stop the mullahs from getting the bomb. Therefore, when push comes to shove, and since Israel's existence is on the line, it is more likely that Bibi will be the one who has the last say. The only thing worth listening to is NOT the words from a speech, but the rev of IAF engines-airplanes or ......

5. Fair is fair
Jeff   (06.14.09)
If Netanyahu's speech will not recognize a Palestinian State, separate and independent, I will never rcognize a Jewish state for Israel. They cannot have their cake and want to eat it too. The world will find out exactly how sincere the Israellis in accepting the legitimate rights of the Palestinians. If they are not serious, the world should deny the Israelis their rights.
6. Palestina
F. Dijkstra ,   Bolsward NL   (06.14.09)
Palestine is a name created by the Roman emperor at the Jewish country in the year 135. Palestine has never been a state and will never worden.Palestina is used for the Jews from the country to remove.

simply the palestinians are not worthy of a state, they have no idea how to manage a state other than a terrorist one, what Israel should do, and i hope Bibi is in accord with me here is to grant the palestinians free exit visa's ma'a salami. this is in response to nour the intellect of palestine

Q: Please tell us what was the name of the country that "Ben Gurion" said he stole, and who was the first leader of that country? Ben-Gurion (as well as every honest person) knows that Israel was established by a U.N. vote to partition the territory of the British Mandate, and therefore Israel wasn't established in place of any other sovereign nation: Before Israel was reestablished in 1948, Palestine (which included the area of modern-day Israel AND Jordan) was governed by a British Mandate from the League of Nations. Before the British Mandate, Palestine was conquered and governed as part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire until the Ottoman Empire dissolved after WWI. Before that it was conquered and governed as part of the Mameluke Empire. Before that it was conquered and governed by Crusaders as part of the "Holy Roman Empire". Before that it was conquered and governed as part of the feuding Fatimid, Abbasid, and Umayyad Empires. Before that it was conquered and governed as part of the Byzantine Empire. Before that it was conquered and governed as part of the Roman Empire. Before that it was conquered and governed for 2000 years as the inheritance of the Children of Israel from Abraham (you can learn about this for yourself in a book called the Holy Bible, and you can also see archaeological discoveries for yourself which prove the history of Israel and her capital Jerusalem, the City of David). After the Romans conquered the Kingdom of Judea, they renamed the area "Palestine" on their maps in an attempt to erase Jewish history. "Palestine" referred to the extinct "Philistine" nation, who inhabited the area thousands of years before 1400 years ago when a totalitarian dictatorship spread from the Arabian Peninsula to occupy and oppress native inhabitants of most of the Middle East, and large parts of Africa, Asia, and Europe. The Qu'ran doesn't mention even once the word Jerusalem or Palestine. However, the Qu'ran mentions numerous times the Children of Israel are native to the Land of Israel!

15. JEFF
NEVADA_LEN ,   FLORIDA, usa   (06.14.09)
Are you a State, or a Nation?, Are you perhaps a very important NGO? I have never heard of the Country "Jeff". Pretty arrogant to think anybody cares if you recognize Israel or not. You are really a non entity and irrelevant is much to important a state to fit you. I am sure nobody in Israel cares what you think. Is Jeff an Arab name? If not, you don't even have them as a constituency.
