Why can't Jews live under Palestinian sovereignty in the West Bank. Sing the Palestinian anthem, wave the Palestinians flag, and serve in the Palestinian government??? Ohhhhhh. Right. But you will also have to give us back all your Israeli made weapons, oh and youll have to establish a new source of intelligence in the middle east...hmm may i suggest saudi arabia? they are really known for their top notch secret service! Israel is really not as dependent on America as many people think. We could easily allign ourselves with a country like Russia or maybe even china, and that could pose serious problems to the US

why in the would Israel align itself with Russia? They are the main suppliers of Iran's nuclear program and don't even want to pressure them to stop enriching uranium! What kind of friend supplies your countries arch nemisis with the weapon it would use to destroy you (or so you all claim)? What kind of backwards logic is that! Russia also sells weapons to Syria and has communication lines with Hamas! Yeah...Russia would be a great friend to Israel. You are living in a dreaw world my friend. America has been, is, and will be, your best friend. You guys just need a little push sometimes to do the right thing. that when the author quotes from the 1922 Bristish Mandate for Palestine, he doesn't quote the parts about recognizing and not disturbing the existing populations of the land. Particuallary the opening statement: Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have also agreed that the Mandatory should be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 2nd, 1917, by the Government of His Britannic Majesty, and adopted by the said Powers, in favor of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing should be done which might prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country ART. 2. The Mandatory shall be responsible for placing the country under such political, administrative and economic conditions as will secure the establishment of the Jewish national home, as laid down in the preamble, and the development of self-governing institutions, and also for safeguarding the civil and religious rights of all the inhabitants of Palestine, irrespective of race and religion. and Article 6: ART. 6. You like pigs, eh? Now I understand your affection for Obama and the Palestinians. U.S. military credits are granted to Israel with the stipulation that they be used in the United States. That benefits American companies and American workers. They are not "gifts" by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to withdraw them, go ahead. You'll throw quite a few Americans out of work. And -- to be perfectly honest -- Israel's military industrial complex is doing just fine on its own, and has produced weaponry for export that is competing -- and beating -- the United States' military hardware. Indeed the Arabs of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel) had not perceived themselves as a people until well into the 1960s, and even then based on the drive of the League of Arab States which established the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1964 (why not "Palestinian" and what were they to "liberate" in 1964, three full years before Israel captured the now disputed territories in the defensive war of 1967 while those territories were Jew-free, "cleansed" of their Jewish residents in 1948, and under full, total Arab rule?)

Which Israel has sold to the U.S. military services and currently very much in use by U.S. special forces. Also provided to three-quarters of urban police forces in the United States for use by their SWAT teams. Did you know that Israel was first to develop a shell capable of piercing the armor of the Soviet T-72 tank? Which it promptly made available to NATO forces in Europe. DId you know that Israel gave the United States its first look at an intact T-72 tank? Helped the United States reverse engineer it. Same thing with the MIG-21. Israel gave the United States its first look at that, too. I could go on, but little piggie, there's no point. You're soon for the breakfast table, anyway.

The United States military is scarcely top-of-the-line. I remind you that you were beaten back by a bunch of tiny little men in black pajamas in Vietnam. I remind you that your attempt to rescue hostages in Iran was a humiliating failure. Remember Somalia? A bunch of barefoot warlords with outdated weapons brought the mightily-equipped U.S. military to its knees. I note for the record that the Taliban has negated virtually everything the U.S. tried to do there and still the U.S. is mired down in Afghanistan. You have done nothing to curb sectarian violence in Iraq, which grows at an alarming rate. For the record, little piggie, in case you haven't noticed, Israel is not Vietnam. It isn't the Taliban and it isn't Iraq. And it sure as hell isn't Somalia.

If Israels weapons were so great they would not buy from us. Yes. I am an American citizen. Born and raised and educated. I would like to have devoted my considerable education, skills and efforts on behalf of the United States. Let's cut to the facts. Truman DID NOT want a State of Israel. He reacted in desperation at the outset of the Cold War when it became apparent that the Soviet Union would support Israel. Nixon did not provide needed spare parts to Israel until the Israeli army had parachuted BEHIND Egyptian lines on the West Bank of the Suez Canal and threatened to march on Cairo. And completely surrounded the entire Egyptian Third Army and threatened them with complete annihilation. Then -- AND ONLY THEN -- did he come up with spare parts. HOWEVER -- Israel learned a very valuable lesson from all thatl; namely -- look to your own military requirements. Which Israel did, which is, in fact, why Israel is as militarily capable (VERY) as it is today. So -- get a grip, little piggie.l You're a nothing. C'mon, bring it on! It is not a question of winning or losing. It is a matter of presenting facts, arguing them and providing support for them by citing documented events in a clear and articulate fashion. I do believe that is what Mr. ben Jacob is referring to in his post at No. 26. It's not whether I "win" or "lose" -- it is how I play the game.
