issue, UN peacekeepers would have displaced IDF troops in the west bank a long time ago. For the situation to remain as it is now is preferrable because it provides employment to NGOs, other UN beauracracies and Israel gets to collect shylock interest on taxes it collects on UN goods that transit through Israel.
