Can't say I'm pro ultra orthodox or Haredi in their efforts to stop this but I think it's a blasphemy to hold this in the Holy city. I think these gay parades are blasphemies anywhere and that the marchers are just doing it in Jerusalem to show off (for want of a better word.)

New Testament contains enough information in this field, explains why this happen to people, gives knowledge and power for managing the problem. Here in the Diaspora younger brothers of Yeshivah students in Jerusalem were asking teachers like me 'Why are our older brothers rioting?' The whole subject of 'alternative' lifestyles was suddenly on the agenda. I suspect most of the yeshivah students themselves had never really thought much about it. Parents certainly were not happy about their sons rioting -- it's just not acceptable in most Diaspora Haredi communities.

Most Jews, Muslims and Christians in Jerusalem probably are less than happy about the parade. They should speak to the organisers, mayor and police about keeping the route away from religious areas where it will cause offense. A hetero parade of married couples immodestly dressed and expressing too much affection in public would also cause offense.
